COAST SATELLITE TV

Wanted to get rid of the clutter of a TV stand for my flatscreen, Speakers/​Subwoofer, etc. Have a friend who used to work for Coast. A very intelligent woman and great friend. She had somewhat the same kind of set up as I did. Wires all over the place. Ugly. She ended up having her system mounted on a wall with shelving for her components.
She had her whole system rearranged by Brian. Turned out so dang well I decided to make the change. Her current system is seamless. And now mine is also! Brian is GENIOUS! Well versed in his trade and takes his time to do it right. Phenomenal guy! I’m very very pleased with the work he did. Thank you Brian!

We called Coast a few months back to add another directv box and line to our current system. Coast sold us the box and charged us to come out and install it. Standard practice and totally acceptable because I didn’t want to sign another 24 month contract with directv to have them send someone out (probably would have set Coast anyway).
The initial service:
I ran most of the cables (monster rg6) to and from but needed the tech to come out and install a new powered splitter. $ 125 for 10 mins of his time parts sold separately. When the tech got there I asked him to double check my work, connections and signal strength. When he left everything worked.
The problem:
A month or two later that new connection stopped receiving signal. I called Coast who kept telling me it must be my box. As it turns out directv only warranties their boxes of you buy directly from them and will not cover a new box sold by an authorized retailer. Coast wanted to charge me $ 125 to come out to the house to have the box tested. I knew the box worked and the connection had failed because I swapped the box into another room and t worked fine so it had to be the connection. Coast would not come out without charging me $ 125 and I didn’t have the tools to figure out the issue
Why they are receiving four stars:
I’m not sure who sent the Coast repair man or if he just caught wind of the issue and stopped by on his own but he came by to recheck his work. Turns out there was a defective termination (the thingy that screws into the box or the wall) and there would have been no way for me to tell unless I replaced 100′ of rg6 coax cable.
I had to remind Lynn in person of the nature of our small community and word of mouth and I have to believe, at least in part, that maintaining their status as a trustworthy small business had something to do with them sending out the tech.
I’m glad they stood behind their work.

Signed up for Direct TV and internet, day of installation the «Charter Internet’ service was behind schedule. I have scheduled 4 appointments so far with no luck getting it installed. Keeping my fingers crossed for next week. Lousy service. Coast Satellite TV knew this and did not inform me of it coming into it.

Coast has excellent customer service and reasonable prices for their equipment and installation services. They stock a variety of extra-​large screen DLP HD-tv’s in the 70″ + range. Fitting one of these beasts in your house is no small feat.
With the help of their staff, they helped take dimensions for every tv we were considering. Thanks to some home improvements, we didn’t plan on buying right away, which we informed the staff about in advance. It didn’t stop them from helping out and providing answers to all our questions.
Once the home repairs are complete, we’ll give Coast the final purchase!

Dish network or Direct TV Coast Satellite is your place. Need a quality HDTV or DVD Player Coast will Price match. I needed three Blu Ray Player that matched I bought two online and needed one more. I went into Coast Satellite to see if they had one. They sure did but wanted $ 30 more than I bought mine for. So I asked if they could do better and they matched the price. Well I think that this is awesome customer service and I love to buy locally when I can. I will be back.
