The owner/cook is a super friendly guy. He has no problem making me chimichangas(not on the menu) and give me a separate plate with guacamole, sour cream, and veggies that are better added after frying. Also, the price is undeniably low for all that I’m getting. The place is easy to overlook because of the location. The parking is shaded and abundant. There are several wallmounted big flatscreen TVs to keep us entertained.

3.5 stars. Lots of locals come here and service is a father/son-like duo, excellent and friendly people. The prices are a little more than usual, especially the $ 10 burrito, but once you order it, you’ll understand why. It could feed maybe 3 grown ups. I also had the 3-item combo, chile relleno, taco, and enchilada. The food tastes ok.

4 huge tacos with the works and an order of refried beans only $ 16.00. Huge dollar value for the quantity. The tacos are so huge they use two corn tortillas per taco. We enjoy lunch or dinner her several times a month.

This is fab little joint. Inside there are booths and tables and in the back there is seating sort of in the parking lot but covered with awning and lined with little twinkly lights. The servings are generous and the tastes great. Not for wusses, as this stuff was genuine and zippy! a nice switch up when driving on a trip. Very gracious, clean and good place for a great meal.

Ingot a «To go» I wanted to give this place a great review however the kid behind the counter overcharged me $ 10, when I asked for a receipt he didn’t have one, shady! He then added up the order and«said,“oh sorry Maam! I Musta hit a button twice.» He then refunded me 11 bucks! I So wathch out for the effeminate big guy behind tje cas register. I am assuming he 8s the son of the owner, who was yelling at him in feont of about 10 customers. So awkward! I felt sorry from him. I then waited about 20 minutes for a one item, cheese enchalada, a fajita taco salad, a chicken fajita“wet” $ 2.50 extra. The enchilada plate had very little beans and rice the container was barely filled halfway however the enchilada and beans and rice were good, however«togo» portion in small. Rice and beans were filled barely halfway The taco salad was very greasey at the bottom and there was big chunks of dark meat that tasted old. The beans and rice are good and portion was huge. My husband«wet» burrito didn’t come Wet and I didn’t catch it till I was home. He liked it. I think cuz it was so huge for $ 8.75. maybe they’re shredded beef is good I may try again it looks like if you eat there, you get bigger portions then if you get takeout I may give them another try I’m a little bit iffy on this place. I went back to get a refund for the wet borrito that never came wet since it was down the street. The owner was ver apologetic. Was a bad experience.

Found the restaurant through Unilocal.I had the Carne Asada Burrito Wet, it was off the hook good! The meat had been cooked over wood and had a yummy smoked flavor. The chips were cooked to order and we both enjoyed them. My hubby had a Beef taco, cheese enchilada, chili relleno, along with rice and beans. Everything was fresh and tasty! We will be back! Customer Service was fantastic. The place is small but the taste is big!

I hate to give this place a low rating, because the owner is so nice and the kid behind the counter is nice. But, the past 2⁄3 times I have been here, they have been horrible. The chicken looked and tasted old. I couldn’t even stomach it. The first time I went here, it was amazing– the day the owner was working. But, the other times, he hasn’t been. I really hope he gets his cooks to be better.

We had the pollo asada burritos, chicken taquitos & rice/beans/tortilla. everything was delicious. They don’t just put a little scoop of sour cream it’s covers the 3 taquitos! first time there & we will definitely be back! Burritos & portion sizes were huge & food was very tasty

Super friendly, big portions, and delicious !! Came in around closing time when all other Mexican restaurants in town were closing(even though they should be open another 30 minutes) and they were so nice ! Some places get mad when you walk in late but these guys were happy to see us !! Definitely be back.

I really hope the owners read this review and make some changes, because I really do wish restaurants in Atascadero succeed, because there are very few good places to eat. Like all the other reviews the food was okay, The meat was to smokey and no seasoning, and come on $ 10.21 for a carne asada burrito. It was my choice to eat there and pay the price marked, but I’m not going back. I went there for lunch, and $ 11 for lunch is way to much. The burrito was big, but was full of rice. I believe if they made a smaller burrito for like $ 6 – 7 that’s a good lunch. You will not survive here in Atown charging that much for a burrito. Days are numbers with out changes. Go to Taco De Mexcio!

Tia Juanita’s is a nice little local Mexican Fast Food restaurant with a friendly staff and cooks who know their Mexican Food! The burritos are filling and the chili verde is oh so tasty. This is a very good stop for the travelers as it is easy off and easy on in all directions at the San Anselmo ramp. A good choice and a nice alternative to a chain hamburger. You almost have to know Tia’s is here it could be easy to drive by. So Give it a try and enjoy another little tidbit of our local fun here in Atascadero. Oh Yes, I love the Mural on the wall inside.

By far the best tacos I have had in Atascadero. So many choices. We get a bunch of different ones and share family style. My person favorites are the El Pastor, Carnitas and Beef Fajitas tacos. The people working are very personable and fun. I love this place.

I like the freshness here a lot. Texture of the meat proteins was great. Spicy salsa and fresh chips were a big plus. Unfortunately the flavors were missing. Carnitas was all texture but nothing juicy in flavor. Fish taco was lost in sour cream. Carne asada seemed under salted and lacking the juicy spice one looks for. That said I’m all for supporting the local spot instead of in and out. I’d go back just asking for extra salsa for pouring on top.

Wow. Who hasn’t had Mexican if they have gone out to eat in A-Town, right?! But this place will make you feel like you’ve been doing it wrong. It’s so much better and authentic than some of the other spots in town. MOther/daughter mother/daughter-in-law?! No idea. But the two ladies seemed related and were both super friendly and polite. Eager and clearly enjoyed serving others and making delicious outstanding tasty food. Had a adobada burrito that was HUGE, seriously, but what was worse was that it tasted so good I tried to eat it all and just was stuffed for the next 12+ hours. Haha/So great. Really good, and I mean REALLY good beans, must be made with lard or something sinfully indulgent because they were fantastic. Free chips and loads of salsa options for dipping too. No sals bar, but they bring you everything they make in plastic ramekins so it doesn’t matter. Oh, they have some of the best homemade horchata I’ve ever had. Get it. They also serve jamaica too, I’ll try that next time. Park in back. There’s two or three tables inside. There are another 2 outside picnic tables, better for larger groups or if there is more than one other party inside, as the«dining» options are a bit small/slim, it’s still totally worth making it work. Or just get it all to-go. Though I think it’s fun sitting outside and watching cars drive by staring at me jealous of my huge delicious looking burrito :)
