My opinions on this company do not reflect their services as a rental service, but as a retail florist. My experience with Creative Props Rental was when they were used as the retail vendor for my purchases through 1−800-Flowers. I ordered an $ 85 dollar bouquet of roses and lilies through the 1−800-Flowers website, to be delivered to my mother in Atlanta. When I saw what was delivered to my mother, I was shocked, as the bouquet had some carnations, and wilted poms. Not a single rose or lily was included in the arrangement. I wouldn’t have even paid $ 5 dollars for this bouquet if I saw it on the side of the road. I contacted 1−800-Flowers expressing my dissatisfaction, and while they would not agree to give me the name of the vendor that they used, they did offer to contact them and have another bouquet sent out. After several days, my mother never received a thing. I asked her to look on the card that came with the arrangement, so that I knew which local florist was used, and she sent me the card that had the information for Creative Props Rental. I wrote back to –80-Flowers, AND to Creative Props Rental, expressing my frustration and asking for a full refund. While I received a reply from 1−800-Flowers, I received NO response from Creative Props. I can totally understand how mistakes can me made, or how sometimes the quality of a product is not up to par, and I can forgive a company for that. If Creative Props was not able to fulfill the order that they received, they should have either passed the order on to another local vendor, or contact the customer and offer an alternative. Because they delivered such a shoddy product, I felt cheated, because it felt like they assumed that I would not know any better. They probably assumed that the recipient of the flowers wouldn’t realize that the wilted and browned bouquet that was delivered cost the sender $ 85. When the second delivery was requested, I don’t understand how they could have ignored this, especially since I had not yet requested the refund(unless they just wanted to pocket the earnings and again assume that I wouldn’t know any better). Even if this was just a mere mistake, the fact that I never received a response or an apology from the florist only intensified my frustrations. I know to some, it may sound silly to be upset over the quality of flowers. But if you consider the fact that many flower orders are sent during times of illness, or bereavement, you can understand why having such a crappy arrangement delivered on your behalf can be embarrassing, and come across as insensitive. From now on, I will no longer use a wire service for floral deliveries, and I will go straight to a retail florist that has a better reputation in the communities that my flowers go to.
