I loved this place because they had the best frozen coffee drinks but unfortunately they are CLOSED!
Hopefully Kirkwood will get a new place there.

This place is what every coffee shop ought to be. I got fantastic coffee, settled in on a comfy couch to knit, and then ended up talking with the owner and a barista for an hour about everything from MLK to Obama. Pretty darn awesome.

I love Gathering Grounds. In an effort to support local business, I seek home-​grown locations. Gathering Grounds offers something for all the senses — great drinks, cozy atmosphere, soothing and ecletic music, and colorful paintings (some of which are for sale). You could also call it «Cheers» as it feels like a place where everyone knows your name with the welcoming staff and friendly patrons. This is a hidden gem in Kirkwood!

These folks know how to pull an espresso shot, have free wifi, and good olé’ neighborhood vibe. All the qualities an indy-​shop should have. Not too much more to say about it… just a good place.

Went there this past weekend and absolutely loved it! I believe that they just went through a owner change at the beginning of the year and the new staff is really nice and courteous. I especially love the smoothies that they have… the mango smoothie is very good. It has a warm feeling to it, is a great place to relax and do some work using the free wifi that they have (pretty easy to connect to). I parked in a small parking lot to the left of the shop but they have street parking as well. I recommend this place and I will be back often.

I looooove this place! Im not a coffee drinker but their smoothies are so good! I go often and sometimes you can catch the sweet potato pie which is awesome! I also love the pound cake! (Im an eater lol) The free wi-​fi is a plus. Its a small cute coffee shop with games and books if you want to go just to hang out. The service is friendly. I have been living in the neighborhood for a while now and this place is a great addition!

I checked this place out this weekend as it’s right around the corner from the new house and I was in need of free wifi (internet isn’t set up yet).
You can park on the street or in the lot next to Aces. The shop isn’t huge, but that’s probably a good thing — it seems comfortable. A lot of regulars go here it seems. Service was good. I don’t drink coffee, but I got a tea and a blueberry muffin (both were good). The wireless was easy to connect to and I had no problems with it.
I can see myself hanging out here in the future.

The best coffee in Atlanta! The Celestial Charm has the right combination of coffee, chocolate, and caramel to make my endorphins run wild! The coffee is by far the best I’ve found in Atlanta, it never has that charred taste you get when a company tries to make their coffee taste stronger by overroasting. With free wi-​fi it’s become my office when I’m working from home but need a change of scenery.

Excellent service and quality coffee, hot choc and other foods. This is a terrific neighborhood spot to hang out and work on your laptop, or read a magazine. You couldn’t ask for a better coffee shop!

I stop here at least 5 days a week for a latte. It is my favorite coffee shop in town and they know me by name and always remember what I drink. I hope you get a chance to try it !!!

I haven’t had good experiences here. I found the service to be cold and the coffee is not good. I find it bitter. I tried to give it several chances but every time, I went I felt very unwelcome. Tried to study there with a friend but was asked to leave because they were closing early. There are plenty of better coffee shops in the area and I would much rather go somewhere else than a place where I feel unwelcome.

Visitied here for the first time today. Its in the Kirkwood Village section right in between Atlanta and Decatur. Pretty good coffee house — great wifi service (free) and good atmosphere and vibe. Recommended!

This is an awesome little coffee shop within walking distance of my house. I have spent many a Saturday afternoon hanging out, doing homework, and sipping on a Mellow Marsh here. Which just happens to be my favorite coffee drink in the ATL. mmmmm… I am not a big coffee person, but the lattes here are to die for!
