My 2nd time here in about 3 – 4 days. Great customer service! The manager on duty is african american guy and he has been a pleasure both times I have come here. The first time i came here I think it was this Saturday night that just passed; me and my entourage were happily greated by a beautiful nubian with dreads wearing a SCAD sweatshirt. She answered all of my questions and was very pleasant. The manager on duty who was the same one working this evening that did my shoe exchange. He was had the same friendly demeanor and he remembered me. The store was tidy, dust free, shoes well organized, and the store was well lit. I really enjoyed my shopping experience here! Keep up the great work guys!!!

I tried to return a $ 12 pack of socks that I purchased at another location here, and the management gave me some sorry-ass song and dance about a «SKU» and style number, and how the Journey’s at Northlake Mall isn’t really a Journey’s blah blah blah… and would NOT make the return; DESPITETHEFACTTHATTHISLOCATIONSOLDTHEEXACTSAME $ 12 pack of socks AND I HADMYORIGINALRECEIPT! I had to get in my car and drive ACROSSTOWN to return those damn socks. It will either be, a cold day in hell, or a hot day on the pavement in bare feet before I EVER set foot inside this location again. They’re not customer oriented and it is very apparent. The guy who identified himself as the manager, made a snarky comment about how upset I seemed that he wouldn’t take the socks back to one of the cashier’s as I stormed out. I have experienced better customer service at a self service kiosk, and it’s most unfortunate that I was reintroduced to an ‘old favorite’ under such deplorable circumstances. You know you’re in a ghetto establishment when management uses phrases like, «Let me kick it to you like dis here…» UGH! WTF? Im still reeling from how UNPROFESSIONALANDLACKLUSTER he was. It was like I was in a sitcom named«Ineptitude». He was beyond smug, and I could tell he was pleased with himself for his success in sending me across town. I wonder what snarky comments he will have once my complaint trickles back down from corporate… the manager at Northlake Mall went out of his way to make sure I had the information I needed to make a formal complaint, as he is no stranger to customers coming in with THEEXACTSAMESTORY! Stay away from this place until they get some management with professionally appropriate vernacular, and some RUDIMENTARY customer service skills.

Went here to buy some TOMS. Sadly they didn’t have any in stock that would fit me. Because of my wide foot(compliments of my father) I have a hard time wearing shoes that are obviously for women, i.e. slim soles. So I asked the sales guy to check for a men’s in the color I wanted an a corresponding size. They were big, so I asked for the next size down. They didn’t have them in the color I wanted, so he brought me a different color. They were still to big, but they didn’t have ANY in the next size. So I didn’t get any TOMS today. But I will say that the man that was in the store was REALLY helpful. He went and got four different pairs of shoes for me. I felt badly that I wasn’t able to buy a pair of shoes there today!

I will be calling to speak with the manager about my experience at this location on Mother’s Day. After enjoying a wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch with my son, two best friends and their sons, the kids decided that they wanted to shop at Journey’s for shoes. We all entered the store and barely got a greeting from the two associates behind the counter. I really didn’t pay it any mind. After only about 5 or 10 minutes of the children deciding on shoes, I looked over to the associate(note: still standing behind the counter) and asked for assistance. My best friend at that time was irritated that no one had came over and asked us if we needed any assistance with anything and vocalized her feelings. The associate then stated that«Oh, I didn’t know, no one said anything». I commented back that I was not aware that customers had to call over for assistance, usually when you are in a store, the associates come and offer assistance. He(associate) then stated that«Oh, I guess I don’t know anything» and«I thought you all were just hanging out, you’ve been in here a while». So at that time, I figured we would leave the store because I could feel that the situation was probably going to escalate in front of the children and I didn’t want that to happen being that they had already witnessed the poor customer service we were given. There is NO reason whatsoever that he(the associate) was going back and forth with us(the customers). I was very upset that the children had to witness this type of behavior from the associate and I had to explain to them why we had to leave the store without purchasing the shoes they had picked out. My friends and I were baffled as to why we received such poor service. We were the only customers in the store so it was not like they were busy, if that had been the case, I would understand having to ask for assistance. As stated in my first sentence of this review, I will definitely be contacting the manager regarding our visit because I would just like to know the training protocol for the associates at this store. I have been to other Journeys before and have never experienced such poor customer service. I would think that when ANY customer enters the store they are greeted with a friendly attitude and assistance is offered without being asked. I’m am not sure what ever happened to GREATCUSTOMERSERVICE, I guess it went out the window with GOODHELPISHARDTOFIND.

This was a triumph. I’m making a note here: shoe success! We walked out with two cute pairs of shoes for $ 50+tax tonight: black flats with butterflies and skulls, and a pair of Crocs mary janes. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly, and honest enough to admit that the«New Arrivals» have actually been around for months.
