With my second child, I had a heart condition that went undiagnosed by them (Postpartum Cardiomyopathy), even though I had high blood pressure that wouldn’t go down after delivery and was very concerned about it. She refused to refer me to a cardiologist when I asked at my six week pp appointment. Three months postpartum I was in the hospital with 20%EF and congestive heart failure. Nice personality, but I’d rather have a mean doctor who did a better job. I probably won’t live to see my children grow up because of this condition, and if I’d been able to be treated earlier, that might not be the case.

I am rating this office 1 star, since I was not even able to make an appointment with them as a new patient. Keep in mind, this was not because they were fully booked, but because the woman who answered the phone was so unhelpful and unwilling to answer any questions that I had in regards to making an appointment. It was ridiculous! Isn’t that her job, to make appointments and offer introductory information? First, I inquired about making an appointment just to meet the doctor, in other words, a consultation appointment. I was told twice that they just don’t do that. I find that hard to believe, but if that is the case, then that policy needs to change. Who wants someone poking around down there before you have ever even had a 5 minute conversation with them? Then, it took me 3 (count them 3) times to get an actual answer to the question, «what is the average ease of making an appointment with this doctor?» Many doctors say they are accepting new patients, but they are booked 3 months out. I don’t want to go to a practice where it is that difficult to get in to see the doctor, so I was just trying to ascertain a rough idea of their scheduling situation. You would have thought I was speaking another language! The woman had such a «yeah-​yeah» attitude, like she was doing me a huge favor by taking my call. Obviously, this not the practice for me!

Really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Combs! I absolutely LOVE her! She’s a great doctor and just a wonderful person. Anyone who goes to her is very, very lucky.

I started seeing Dr. Combs in April 2011. She is by far the best doctor you could ask for! She’s very patient and seems to actually listen to what her patients say. She’s caring and actually takes the time to sit down and talk to you before getting to the purpose of the appointment– which is something all doctors should take into consideration. She seems to really enjoy her job and she doesn’t come across as just being there for a paycheck. Dr. Combs is very professional and knowledgeable. She’s not afraid to pick up the phone either, which is a plus! In today’s world, how many doctors actually call you themselves? Very few– normally, they throw it off on the nurse to do. I highly recommend Dr. Combs! You will not be disappointed.

I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Combs. She is great, both skillful and kind. Like someone else said, she certainly makes you feel at ease like a friend. I was kind of sad when i had my baby and wasn’t going to see her on a regular basis anymore haha. she was actually recommended to me by someone who sees another physician in the practice so i guess that says something. i did meet most everyone on my rotating OB appointment and they are all great, but Dr. Combs is the best. Her medical assistant is also very nice. I rarely had to wait past my scheduled appointment time.

I’ve gone to Dr Combs once so far for my annual exam, but I’ve been to the office a few other times. She was super nice, and answered all of my questions in a non-​judgemental way (which I feel doesn’t always happen). The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because a lot of times I end up waiting for at least 30 – 45 min for something as simple as a shot. But Dr Combs herself was great.

Dr. Combs is amazing. I was a patient of another doctor in the practice who retired right before we had our baby, and was delighted that she joined the practice and was luckily on call when it was time for me to deliver.
I’m not going to get all TMI, but let’s just say I was SO glad to have such a cool, sweet, and funny doc who is an über professional to deliver our daughter. The delivery was a little faster than planned («WTF do you mean there’s no time for an epidural?!») but it was amazing and I’ve never trusted a doctor more in my life — yes, enough to deliver without drugs ;)
She is very personable and takes time to answer all your questions. Trust me, you’ll love her.

Dr. Combs helped me through a really difficult time. I had an ectopic pregnancy, meaning I couldn’t take the pregnancy full-​term. She was very comforting to me and my husband after the surgery and answered all of our questions openly. A few months later I just needed to talk and I was able to schedule a consultation where she explained to me the physical changes I went through and assured me that pregnancy was possible again in the future.
Whether you’re just getting an annual exam or planing a family, I highly recommend Dr. Combs. She’s the most down-​to-​earth doctor I’ve ever had and her smile makes you feel like she’s an old friend instead of a stuffy M.D.

I absolutely adore Dr. Combs. As the other reviewer noted, she spent time speaking with me (while still clothed) before she began the exam. This makes me feel like I’m not in a Vag Factory, as I have felt elsewhere, and as though she actually gave a flip to get to know me. A little foreplay before the real deal goes a long way!
In all seriousness though, she is very easy to talk to and made me feel as comfortable as one can be considering the, uh, angle of conversation. In a few years my husband and I will be ready to try for children and this is definitely who I want to delivery our baby. She’s just got a warm and inviting personality. Love, love, love her.
Sidenote: the front desk staff at Piedmont OBGYN can be a little spastic because it’s a busy practice and I’ve felt a little uncomfortable during a couple of phone conversations — as though I was really inconveniencing them by calling. HOWEVER, Dr. Combs’ personal secretary Morgan is sweet, efficient and awesome. Once you are an established patient, you really only have to deal with the front desk for scheduling changes, but all of the pertinent stuff — follow-​up questions, insurance questions, etc. — can be done through Morgan, thank Goodness.

Dr. Combs is fantastic!!! i adore her. She talks to you before the exam, while you are wearing your clothing and then has you get undresed for the exam. The exam was quick and painless. Dr. Combs talks you through the whole thing, explaining everything that she is doing. She is a confident doctor, who makes you feel safe, secure and listened to. I reccomend her in the biggest way! So glad I found her!
