A great place, kids love it too. Very cool stuff here, for skiing, outdoors, travel, and the young sales associates and super friendly. Mostly college kids so they get the outdoor thing. I go in about revert 2 weeks and always find something new and useful.

I came in looking for a bike rack part. Although they didn’t have what I needed Ryan was very helpful in offering suggestions for alternatives that may work and other retailers that may carry the part. He even called another shop to see if they had it. Definitely above and beyond. I’ll be back here!

I live nearby, and shop at Publix next door to Mountain High at least twice a week. But I had no idea how awesome this little store was until a few months ago, when my daughter wanted some very specific Bobs shoes. Mountain High had them. I wandered around the store and was amazed at how much cool stuff was tucked into the space. I’ve been in the store at least a dozen times since then, and without fail, every single employee has been kind, helpful, smart, and good-humored. Just before the Great Snowjam of(Jan.) 2014 hit Atlanta, I desperately searched for a winter jacket for my teenage son, who typically/stubbornly wears only shorts and a lightweight fleece. Mountain High had the *only* jacket I found in all of Atlanta(and I shopped everywhere!) that he deemed cool enough to wear(it’s a North Face). Don’t let the name fool you — Mountain High has a really good selection of clothing, gear and neat accessories for all sorts of leisure activities, as well as daily casual wear. Soooo much nicer than shopping at one of the big retailers!

Discovered this store this morning via Unilocal and saved myself a drive across town as a result. I was shopping for some Southwestern hiking and had a wide range of sun hats, apparel & water bottle alternatives, at prices as good as you’ll find anywhere else. In fact i wandered in during a sale and got 40% off! Staff is very friendly and helpful, too. So if you’re going outdoors, come indoors to this place first!

Now, let me preface this review by saying that I know, um, nothing about the great outdoors. Not about hiking, or camping, or rock climbing, or. .. but finding myself in the OK Café shopping center wandering around after brunch with the fabulous Lee T. at Goldberg’s., I noticed a new store next to Publix I hadn’t seen before and meandered in. Nice store — think a cross between those giant REI’s, cozy Patagonia stores and a place like Half Moon Outfitters in Charleston. Nicely displayed goods, from tees to outerwear, casual«day» clothes, and all the brands you’d expect plus some independent labels. Extensive collection of Burt’s Bees products, a fave of mine. A pretty large offering of shoes and boots for all your outdoor endeavors. While I don’t know that I’ll be in the market for their wares any time soon, if I ever am or if you are — check them out. NPWH, too.
