I recommend the chicken tikka masala, chicken 65, apollo fish, mango lassi. Everything else is meh. Don’t come expecting excellent customer service. They often times spend more time watching their TV than paying attention to customers.

The worst service I ever saw. even the food was awful. I will never recommend this place to any one(we have plenty of options in Atlanta).

Excellent thali! The food is very high quality, and the biryani is excellent. The only significant criticism I have is that the main biryani dish is a bit overpriced and monotone. But as part of the thali, which is a great value, it’s perfect.

I usually get the boneless chicken biryani from here. I have no complaints, tastes great. I’ve only ever ordered carry out, so I can’t comment on the service per se. The workers have generally been courteous when they give my order however. The portion sizes here are also pretty generous. I’m a big eater, but I always have to split my meal up when I get the biryani. I’d have no problem recommending this place to someone.

This Paradise Biryani is connected the world famous Paradise Biryani from my hometown Hyderabad. Undoubtedly, this is where to go for biryani!

Nothing great about this place. The setup and people in there looked pretty cheerful but the food disappointed big time. Me and my buddy ordered chicken biriyani and we hardly got any chicken. Not the best place in town for chicken biriyani.

The food tastes horrible now! Quality has deteriorated over time and I think it’s only a matter of time before they close shop.

Typical Indian fare with a low level of spice, but with great value. Paradise Biryani Pointe is a small Indian restaurant in Emory Point off of Clifton Road. The restaurant is the size of a small fast food joint. Parking, as with all restaurants in Emory Point, is complimentary for three hours in a garage at the back of the complex. There’s a setup for a lunch buffet, which wasn’t operating when I went. The menu includes a wide selection of Indian appetizers and three thalis. There’s a vegetable thali($ 8.99 + tax), a chicken thali($ 9.99 + tax), and a goat thali($ 10.99 + tax). The thalis come with a biryani, a few pieces of naan, a mini-samosa, papad(crisp seasoned dough), raita(yogurt), and a dessert(mine came with gulab jamun, a sweet fried dough ball). The chicken thali replaces vegetable biryani with chicken biryani and paneer masala with chicken tikka masala. The goat thali replaces chicken biryani with goat biryani, but unfortunately the chicken tikka masala is not replaced with goat curry. I didn’t find the food to be out of the ordinary, but the value is great. With a chicken thali close to $ 11 after tax, I was very full. The biryani is better than some Indian buffet biryanis. I found the chicken tikka masala a little sweeter than what I typically eat. The mini-samosa almost tasted like an Asian potsticker. I would have preferred a more traditional samosa with a thicker shell. The naan is very good — it was soft, fresh, and a little buttery. Overall, the spice level was mild. I felt a little kick, but the food was definitely a lot milder than what’s served at most Indian restaurants. Paradise Biryani Pointe provides great value for the price. It’s worth a try if you’re a hungry Emory student who wants decent Indian food. The wait was about 15 – 20 minutes for my thali after I ordered at the takeout counter.

Visiting from Chicago on a conference at Emory Center; walking distance and I was impressed by service and definitely the FOOD! There were three occupied tables; We ordered and our food was out in about 15 mins!!! That’s impressive in itself. I looked around at the other tables and I only heard chewing! A good sign or possibly!!! Now for the FOoD: we ordered a few things because my wife is a veggie head and I’m completely a carnivore! We ordered Dal and Palak Paneer… delicious!!! With the garlic naan it was a lingual treat! . I ordered the biryani; I was a little skeptical about the bold statement«Best biryani in the USA» but I was a believer! I’ve tried all of their biryanis, all good. I’ve traveled most cities and I gauge an Indian restaurant by its biryani(that’s just me). The new management(according to the staff) seems more attentive and cooking style is UP-New Delhi Hyderabad… remember if you say species here you’re asking for some fireworks. We ordered mild because than you can really taste the food without the heat! A lingual treat! I don’t think I’ve walked into an Indian restaurant in the United States and had every dish taste so good. Places that were close are Devon in Chicago or Jackson Heights NY… Another place I remember was St. Ignacio, Belize«Jimmy’s Indian Cuisine»(Central America) I enjoyed the frames pics around the restaurant; old school movie posters! We visited this place twice thereafter… it was that GOoD, tummy content! Emory is fortunate to have Paradise! And if you have any GI issues; you have the CDC right across! Send for Cultures!

If I could give this place negative stars I would! The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! Is the original paradise franchise owner paying attention? I called to complain about a late order and the manager grabs the phone and starts yelling and essentially tells me that it is his not his problem that his driver can’t be reached! And used words that are best not repeated! If you’re looking for a relaxing experience simply needing to receive the food you ordered– STAYAWAY

Let me start by saying that I had very high expectations of this place. We ordered the Apollo Fish, Chicken 65, Chicken Biryani, and Chicken Tikka Masala. Then, we proceeded to wait for an hour, before the food started to come out. Unfortunately, the food didn’t come out all at once. We got the Chicken 65 first, without any naan. As soon as we were finished with that, the biryani came out(with the naan). We finished the biryani, which I will admit was pretty good, as the naan was sitting there getting cold. Finally, now nearly an hour and a half later, the rest of the food came out. Needless to say, my family and I were annoyed at the terrible service we received. Unfortunately, we had paid beforehand and left a 20% gratuity, expecting at least a decent level of service. It seemed that the gentleman taking our order was uninterested. Despite the terrible service, the food was not actually that bad. Had I not been in a terrible mood, I may have enjoyed it more than I actually did. The chicken biryani was decent and the Chicken 65 was good(even without the naan). The chicken tikka masala was a little sweet, and the apollo fish was average. However, our overall experience was ruined, and we will not be visiting again.

We frequent Paradise Biryani. The management recently changed, and the service has improved. Quantity of food served is never a problem, quality is inconsistent. The management is receptive to feedback, and works to make sure you enjoy your meal. Free delivery doesn’t hurt either! Note that food takes long to prepare.

Delivery through Zifty. Couldn’t tear myself away from the PGA Championship final round. Gobi Manchurian — fried cauliflower with dry(sort of) spices. OMG, this is decadently delicious and has a nice kick. Do not fail to order this. Andhra Chicken — very spicy in a curry sauce. Good flavor and perfect for naan-dipping. Palak Paneer — also very good and also has a bit of a kick Garlic naan — little soggy but still good. The half order of plain naan that comes with the entrees is also solid, but garlic naan is better. Veg samosa — eh. Not remarkable and the sweet sauce that comes with it is a bit weird. If you need sauce, better to use the sauce from whatever curry dish you may have ordered. All the food arrived in good shape — no issues with having it delivered, except perhaps the naan. That might be better if you’re at the restaurant. They use a fair amount of oil in preparing the dishes. Recommended for delivery.

I went there first time yesterday for lunch. It is located across from CDC and near Emory. There is 3-hour complimentary parking in the back. There is also meter street parking(but not free). Inside is very nice. Very clean and modern. Everything is new. Very bright. The server was very nice and friendly. He seated a group of us(14 people I think) right away. The menu is simple and easy to understand. I tried the chicken 65, chili chicken, and gobi manchurian. Chicken 65 was spiced right but unfortunately it is not crunchy/crispy as it should be. Other places deep fry it. Chili chicken, in my opinion, was better than chicken 65. It still should be crispy though. Gobi manchurian was just right. That is cauliflower. Overall food was good but I expected better. The food took very long time to arrive. After ordering, the food came about 35 minutes later. We initially wanted to order biryani but we were told it takes about an hour to cook which was a disappointment because other places have it out and ready in less than 20 minutes. So we went with 3 appetizer items. Great atmosphere but food didn’t exceed my expectations so unfortunately I will not be back.

A big fan of this place at Windward Parkway. Walked into this place. No one was at the counter. One table was occupied. Waited for about 10 minutes. No one came to the counter so walked out. This was Friday evening around 6:30PM!!!

So, I have been a customer since they opened and I really relished their«Fish Curry and Chicken Biryani, until about 6 – 7 months back when most food was just not quite fresh with the masala’s gone terribly wrong! I gave them a break for a while. I few days back I thought I’d try again and… They had this policy that you get points on each purchase and when you get to 10 points, you get a free Biryani. When I recently went to claim my rewards– the guy on the counter behaved as if some one died for the sake of a biryani worth $ 11. My next order had me «rewarmed rise and dry chicken» in way to say– I am not welcome any more! I will not recommend this place to any one!

I work across the street so I have been to this place a handful of times for lunch. The menu is mostly thalis or biryani– you can choose between veggie, goat, or chicken thalis or egg, chicken, vegetable, or goat biryani. The dinner menu has more variety. The lunch thalis are HUGE! Get ready for a food coma. The food is decent but kind of greasy and too many raw red onions for me. Had a weird experience here not too long ago when the employee took five minutes to take each person’s order so there was a line of about 20 people. I don’t mean to beat up on him because he was doing his best, but it was kind of disappointing to be there for an hour and a half total for what was supposed to be a quick lunch.

There was a Scout Mob deal for this place, so we decided to check it out. And man, I am glad we found this little jointe! Their Chicken Tikka Masala was on pointe! It had a nice kick to it, and it went great with the Garlic Naan! Their Veggie Samosa was delicious! The spices, spiciness and texture worked so well together. Altogether, our meal came out to $ 10 with the 50% off deal. The food we ordered was great, but I think it would be a tad expensive otherwise, since the portions are not that big. They served the Tikka Masala in a tiny bowl and a tiny plate to make the portions appear larger. But it was so hard to scoop up their yummy rice from the tiny little plate!

Paradise Biryani Pointe is an Indian restaurant that opened September 2013 in the Emory Point mixed-use development on Clifton Rd. near Emory University, across the street from the CDC. A second location(the original location) is on Windward Pkwy. in Alpharetta. This is a fast casual Indian restaurant specializing in biryani rice dishes, thali dishes(traditional Indian meals consisting of several smaller dishes), and vegetarian and gluten-free Indian food. The restaurant is popular among Emory students and the work week lunch crowd, often turning around lunch orders in less than five minutes time. The restaurant is located on the front side of the Emory Point development. It faces Clifton Rd, a fire station, and the CDC. It is not located on the main drag where The General Muir, Tin Lizzy’s, Marlow’s Tavern, et al. are. If walking out of the parking deck, walk straight across, between Tin Lizzy’s and Marlow’s Tavern, and make a left when you reach Clifton. Paradise feels new and clean. The design of the restaurant is unlike a traditional Indian restaurant. It’s simple, fresh, bright, and modern. There’s a covered patio, big windows, and spotless white tables, chairs, and booths. A TV plays Bollywood hits(and cricket in the mornings). In the evenings, track lighting and industrial-like light fixtures really illuminate the space, giving the already glossy floors an extra bit of shine. You can expect to spend roughly $ 10 per person at lunchtime and $ 15 per person at dinnertime. The thalis are only available at lunch. Along with biryani and thali, Paradise also sells appetizers like chaat(Indian street food snacks), kebabs, and various entrees consisting of vegetables, paneer(Indian cottage cheese), curry, chicken, and goat. From what I’ve been told, the owner of Paradise is from the Andhra region of southern India, which is known for exceptionally spicy cuisine. If you compare Paradise’s dishes to the same dishes at other Atlanta area Indian restaurants, Paradise’s dishes are spicier. Some appetizers I’ve tried include the potato vada and the vegetable samosas. If you check-in on your phone via Facebook, Foursquare, or Unilocal, you get a free samosa. These apps come with two chutneys or Indian sauces: a green mint chutney and a dark red/brown tamarind chutney. The mint chutney is spicy(it contains Thai chiles) and the tamarind chutney is sweet. Both taste good and are recommended to eat with the vadas and samosas. The potato vada is a special appetizer that is not on the menu(at least, not at the time I had it). It’s a potato fritter, kind of like a potato mixed with different spices, shaped into a ball, and fried. Both the vada and the samosa have an extra seasoning on the outside which is salty. I think it makes the vada too salty. The samosa is better. It’s a crispy pastry filled with veggies such as peas and lentils. An appetizer highly recommended by staff is the«Gobi Manchurian.» This is an Indian-Chinese fusion dish. I’m normally skeptical of fusion-type foods, but this one is pretty good. Gobi means cauliflower. Huge heads of cauliflower are flash-fried and tossed with garlic, onion, and a mixture of spices. The result is crispy and rather savory pieces of cauliflower. It’s good stuff and great for sharing. Unless you have a huge aversion to cauliflower, I suggest ordering this app for the table. Another popular app is the Apollo fried fish. Two of the best selling entrees are the Andhra chicken and the chicken korma. If you love spicy food, get the Andhra chicken. It really brings the heat. It’s a chicken curry dish made with dried cayenne pepper. The curry sauce is deep red, very spicy, and has a strong, smoky flavor to it. The chicken korma curry is not spicy. It’s made with yogurt and cream, light brown in color, rich, and simply delicious. The chicken in both entrees is boneless and tender. All entrees come with a side of naan flatbread and biryani rice. Both are very good and are perfect for eating with curry. The rice is exceptionally aromatic, thanks to the addition of seeds and spices, and the basmati has a little extra appetizing chew to it. I could eat gobs of the plain biryani here all by itself. As for traditional Indian drinks and desserts, they’ve got lassi(yogurt-based drinks), gulab jamun(dough balls soaked in syrup), and meetha(made from dried apricots). Disposable plastic cups filled with lassi are ready to go in the fridge. I’ve tried the sweet(«plain») lassi and the mango lassi. I prefer the mango lassi, a drink I love to order at Indian restaurants in general. It’s sweet, a little creamy, and satisfying. The sweet lassi is OK too. It’s actually slightly salty. Both are made with yogurt with additional seeds/spices mixed in. Service is outstanding. Ana is an amazing, friendly server and Raj, the manager, will make sure you’re taken care of. Free parking is located at the Emory Point parking deck which can be accessed in the center of the property via Avenue Pl.
