Went in at 945p(when they close at 11p) and lady said they were out of bread. There was plenty of bread visible in the cooling racks behind her. Disappointing.

Walked in and ordered a 6 inch meatball sub on Italian bread. The man behind the counter added extra meatballs on the sandwich(thanks) and then proceeded to ask if I was paying cash or credit. I replied credit, and was asked twice if I had any cash instead since he «hooked me up». And on top of that, the sub was very sloppy. Took one bite and the sub pretty much fell apart. Skip it.

Very mediocre location. Biggest concern was the lack of freshness. The food wasn’t necessarily horrible but ingredients seemed like they were definitely past their prime. Everything else was pretty standard.

$ 4.00 deal of the day includes a 6″, a drink and a bag of chips. Now if only they could include tax in their pricing we may be getting somewhere.

The weather was nice, and there was lots of in-town stuff happening over the weekend, so Subway was really busy at 2pm on a Sat. As busy as it was, there really ought to have been three folks taking care of business. But, there were only two guys minding the shop. They were both scrambling to do a good job, but one of them wasn’t quite fully trained, and as a result, their work-effort was clumsy. Disorganized. For instance, I shouldn’t have to wait to pay for my food while my completed(and bagged) sandwich sits waiting right in front of me. Waiting. For as long as it takes to start and finish the next sandwich. Waiting. Please don’t start another customer’s order before you ring me out. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good Subway. And those employees were doing their best. They were hamstrung by management that didn’t give them enough trained people to handle busy weekend traffic.

When the sign on the door says 11PM for a closing time. It does not mean 10:54PM for having the door locked. With mediocre food, as Subway is wont to have, at least customer service should be great. I was there eariler today, and yesterday, and the service was good enough. However, closing before your posted hours is not acceptable in the world in which I live.

With Jason’s Deli and Flying Biscuit next door, the only times we go to Subway are when we’re in a hurry and we’re being cheap. They do the $ 5 footlongs and $ 3.99 daily meal deals. Cash Only! :(

I used to love going to this Subway. I know that they are all about the same, but at this one, I could order online, it was convenient, in and out quickly, pay with a debit card, and the guys were super friendly and knew me by face. Now? New owners. How could it be that bad? Well, for one thing, they only accept cash. I mean, come ON. Really? REALLY? In this day and age, I can’t use a debit card at the local Subway?! So now… –You can still order online at this store. Still pretty awesome. –No longer convenient with all the construction now on 10thAND on Piedmont(as of Feb 2008). –Parking here is just atrocious(might be related to construction) –CASH only. –Employees now appear to be pretty snarly; cases in point: Episode 1: When I handed the woman my debit card, she simply snarled at me «CASHONLY» with a few gesturing grunts. Never said anything else but this. Episode 2: I ordered online, where I am asked to input my phone number in case there are any probs. I get to the store – the back door is locked. I walk around to the front, and there is a misspelled sign on the door saying that they are closed, with no further explanation. Um, not a good time to use my number to call me? Episode 3: The parking lot was full. I am a total believer in giving a place a second chance, but they good olé days appear over at this location.

I had to go retrieve my car yesterday morning from the Blake’s parking lot and I was hungry, so I stepped up into Subway for a bite to eat. Since I think everyone is already familiar with their food, I won’t say too much more than I really like their new herb and cheese bread. I was still a little hungover and that was preventing me from being able to make clear decisions. Thankfully the lady working was very friendly and helped me pick out a tasty sub to help me settle my stomach. This is a convenient location with easy parking and a friendly staff. Thanks for all that you do for the 10th and Piedmont regulars. :)
