I have very rarely been let down by a place with 4+ stars on Unilocal, but this was certainly one of those times. I had worked through lunch and was very hungry by the time I showed up mid afternoon. I was the only person there and I guess it is possible that the problem was that I was there during a time when they wouldn’t normally have many customers. My chicken teriyaki was under-cooked enough to be inedible and the woman working at the front counter disappeared into the back as soon as she served me, never to be seen again. I ate my salad and a little rice, left and won’t return.. Anyplace can have a bad day and I would probably give them a pass and try it again if it had been the service that wasn’t quite up to par, but there really isn’t any excuse for under-cooked food when you are the only person in a restaurant.

I’ve passed this teriyaki place multiple times but never stopped in till one day I was craving Teriyaki and thought to stop here just because they advertised bento. Looking at the place from the outside and even on the inside, it doesn’t look like a good place but looks can be very deceiving. The food is amazing. I would recommend ordering out as their tables and chairs are rather uncomfortable. So far I’ve tried the classic teriyaki chicken and the katsu chicken. Both were very yummy! If I had to find a flaw it would be their mochi. It’s just the normal mochi ice cream you can buy at Trader Joes, so don’t waste your money on buying one. But this has to be my new favorite place to get some teriyaki.

Stopped by here about a week ago. Great portion and friendly service! I had their beef teriyaki and it was really good! It is a nice little spot you can go to when you feel like to have some meat and rice. The tables were a bit messy and not really thoroughly cleaned but I’m giving them 5 star because of their high quality of food and service! I will definitely come back!

Just tried their chicken katsu and unagi roll. Flavors are only soso. Chicken katsu isn’t even that crunchy. The place also has old house odor which isn’t very pleasant.

Love the spicy sweet & sour shrimp here, I get it all the time. The owners are ridiculously nice and the service is good! I love grabbing a quick bite to eat here but also come to catch up with an old friend, every now and then.

I visited Sapporo on a lunch break, and asked the lady behind the counter if I could be in and out of the restaurant within a half hour or so. Only five minutes after ordering, a steaming plate of Mongolian beef and rice arrived. It was definitely Western-style Mongolian beef, coated in corn starch to give it tenderness and a nice gloss, but each bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and perfectly seasoned. In my mind, you can’t ask for more when it comes to a quick, inexpensive lunch. I am eager to visit in the future and perhaps try their Singapore noodles or sushi.

Ordered the Singapore noodle. Shrimp and chicken for under $ 10. The rice noodles are a lighter twist from the heavy soba noodle. The perfect lunch. My son ordered the lunch teriyaki and it was a huge portion with salad. Clean and inviting for dine-in eating.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki and was glad that they offered brown rice. It was really delicious. The gal behind the counter was very nice and the place seemed clean, but small. The parking lot has limited parking as well, but the food is worth suffering the parking lot.

The food here is really good. I have been going there since I was a little kid. The people that work there are really friendly. And for a teriyaki shop, they have a variety of food choices. My favorite is their chicken Katsu with brown rice.

I had the General TSO chicken and teriyaki chicken. Very hot, fresh, and yummy. Portions are plenty to take some home, and the price is reasonable.

Professional, tasty. I have enjoyed everything so far, but get their Korean food – the owners are Korean after all, their bulgogi is very good and their kimchee is spicy! A nice find, and I wish they were busier. Nice owners, too.

Chicken teriyaki was okay — sauce was a bit thick and had a different taste than I’m used to. The atmosphere was surprisingly nice and the service was great!

Very very good teriyaki. Not greasy, medium spices/sauce. Everything was delicious. Very friendly owner. Great lunch specials. This place is by far the best teriyaki i’ve ever had!

This place is fantastic. The folks who run it are very sweet and happy to serve you as opposed to so many places where they seem put out that you would ask them to actually work. The food has always been excellent. We have had the teriyaki, spicy teriyaki, gyoza, fried rice, cashew chicken, mongolian beef, egg rolls and probably other dishes and have never been disappointed. As for other reviews on this place — first, how can one compare this to Tokyo Steak House in Federal Way? I have been there and it is very good but that is a much more expensive tepanyaki restaurant where they cook the food in front of you. That is like saying your Big Mac was no good because it didn’t compare to the steak you had at Ruth Criss.
