I like this place because of the cheese selection and cocktails. Also great happy hour specials on the weekdays. One of my favorite happy hour places to go in Augusta!

5 stars because I have 0 complaints and food was excellent. Seated immediately at 8pm Friday night. That makes you feel nice. Great service. Shared specials and other info, but definitely not pushy. Salmon was so good. Just… Really really good. I’ll let the picture do the rest of the talking.

My date and I came here expecting to get some glorious eggs Benedict on a chilly Saturday morning… We were disappointed in that they don’t do brunch on Saturdays… But that was all. We sat down to a low background music of «Santeria» so I was in a good way right off the bat. My next move was the White Whiskers cocktail which was a beautiful combination of Highwest Silver Whiskey and limoncello. We then split a bowl of perfectly warmed crab chowder, followed by a Veggie pie which is a flaky pastry with a heavenly portion of cheese covering it. Lastly, we inhaled a delicately prepared Celtic Whiskey Cheddar, which included a guava paste and some sort of bread that tasted like Jelly Toast. I’m still on cloud 9. Whether you come here with the love of your life or a one night stand, you both will immediately cheat on each other with Fifth and Finch. Just do it.

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Casual dressy in the 2nd level«fountain level» in Surrey center. Clean, modern rustic cool atmosphere. With unisex bathrooms(well, I use either if one is available, I’m nice — I clean up after myself If bathrooms are kept clean.) Service is ultra low key friendly. Like my Lizzie! The ones I’ve met know their products and what’s made in house vs what is sourced. Used Groupon today. Had to spend $ 30 for lunch. Crab cake was meaty with crab and accompanied with mixed green arugula in nice remoulade. Nice The Surrey Pig(in house made pulled pork) had nice smoky flavors but was a little dry for my taste. So, yes, you need to add their special slightly smoked tangy bbq sauce. This is also topped with Brussels sprouts. Hmm? Not one of my favorites at this time.
Oh and let’s not forget the lovely lists of sourced wines and a bar! Hic. So, it seems they have a great Wednesday night special where charcuterie boards are half off after 6:00 pm. Happy hour is also Mon-Sat. 3:00 — 7:00. Currently, they only advertise on Instagram. Hmm? I didn’t know and feel so technology out of it. So, I’ll tip the info of what I find currently. Still my fav place to come when in town.

I love this place. It’s my go to place to get a cheese plate and have a few drinks with a friend. The food is good quality, the location is very convenient, and it’s got a great atmosphere. I love their drinks. I haven’t been hugely impressed with their dinner main dishes but I love their appetizers and lunch menu enough to make up for it.

I can’t vouch for their food, but I can tell you, their BEER ice cream is DELISH! I tried it at the Augusta Beerfest, and have been meaning to make it in since!

Very good but not great. Have been here several times with my husband and his brother who is obsessed with their charcuterie a and cheese. Personally I really like some things on the menu and am disappointed by a few things that seem like they are just shy of being just right.

Back to the total win!!! Our waiter(Kane) was awesome. He is on point with suggestions after hearing what your taste are. A true professional! Totally appreciate that in a waiter. The staff is always friendly and… Forget about the meats and cheeses. They are also sponsoring local farmers and some«give back to the community» stuff with serving Farms For City Kids Foundation cheese(excellent by the way)… Total bonus for Augusta!

I came here after purchasing a lunch Groupon deal. Note, lunch is only offered M-Sat, so it does not apply for Sunday brunch, which I heard is fantastic!(Will have to go back on a Sunday next…) I came on a Saturday, and the restaurant was surprisingly empty, given its popularity during the evenings! Definitely no need for advance reservations for lunch. The space itself is very modern, with open seating. The menu offerings were light, and tasty, but fairly pricey. For example, I ended up ordering more food just to use the Groupon, which ended up being more than I would have paid without it. Menu items include simple twists on salads and sandwiches, as well as cheese/meat boards.

On a rainy night in Augusta, this place provided a nice refuge. The lighting level was well adjusted to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere. The hostess sat me at table near the front door; this area seemed a little bit out of place, with a bit more separation being needed from it and the hostess station/door. But nothing that can’t be fixed. Onto the food. For appetizers, we got an egg salad jar and the honey almonds; but were flavorful and well executed. The entrée consisted of the meatloaf special and the surrey pig. Between the two dishes, the meatloaf was the winner, having that old fashioned Joy of Cooking flavor(with a ketchup glaze, of course). The surrey pig was disappointing, being more akin to basic shredded pork barbecue — not bad tasting, but definitely nothing special. The blueberry pie and pecan pies were delicious — both having a subtle sweetness to them. This is a great little spot in Augusta, give it a shot.

This place is amazing. I discovered it about a year ago and have been at least five times. If you want simple, Southern fare and well-crafted cocktails at a decent price point, look no further.

I’ve been to Finch & Fifth a couple times, and I am yet to be disappointed. From the moment I entered the doors, each staff member I encountered was very nice. I typically call ahead for seating so I haven’t had to wait with my party thus far. Once seated, a server comes with waters and asks if we would want anything additional to drink. Sometimes there are drink specials so it doesn’t hurt to ask. Any questions I’ve had about the drinks have been answered without hesitation. In my opinion, this is definitely a place to get a handcrafted cocktail(even though I am typically a beer drinker) because they are fantastic. My friends and I try to do a ladies night dinner at least once a month and F&F is a favorite. One specific ladies night occasion, I had the Harvest Cherub(actually 2 or 3) — it is light and refreshing; the perfect summer cocktail. My friends and I shared the appetizer special of the night, a delicious baked onion dip. YUM! It was warm and melty and not overpowered with onions. My friends each ordered the crab cake small plate and I had the Southern Sliders. The bite of crab cake I snagged was very good and the portion was great for my friend after sharing an appetizer. I don’t know if it is possible to describe just how amazing the southern sliders taste! I mean, 3 tiny burgers covered in pimento cheese and bacon(with tomato and basil mayo on toasted buns), can it get much better?!? Not for me, it doesn’t! The relaxed, yet classy, atmosphere is great for a date night or ladies night dinner.

I stopped by for a drink after work a couple weeks ago and found that all of the beer and glasses of wine were ½ price from 4 – 6. I am not sure if it is a sporadic thing or just that day of the week or what? I will find out and report back. They have and nice small bar with a laid back upscsale atmosphere. Will be making a return trip soon!!! Ok, happy hour is 3 – 7 Monday through Saturday. Bottle beer and glasses of wine are half price and special drinks are $ 2 off. Sounds like we need to have an event here.

My wife and I have been to Finch & Fifth two times, with one visit just recently with my Mother-in-Law. Each time we have came, it’s been in the evening and not disappointing at all. The vibe is great, but not overbearing. You can expect to have good conversation without a ton of noise. When you’re inside and intertwined with your party, you actually forget where you are in town; this place seems like it should be down town on the water. The service we received during both of our visits was top-notch and extremely friendly. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and their drinks, craft beers and wine/specialty selections, which makes the experience better especially if you decide on a meat and cheese plate. The owner is usually in-house and is extremely friendly and passionate about his place; be careful, because he’s a talker. haha. Our food arrived on time and was explained to us in vivid detail. Each time we have visited we ordered from their wide range of meats and cheeses — trust me, they don’t disappoint. I would highly recommend the olives with citrus(I can’t remember the exact name) since they are delicious. Depending on your cheese and meat palate, you can eat a variety of sweet or salty types, but I would recommend the Smoked Salmon and the Red Dragon cheese if you cannot make up your mind. Their in-house mustard is phenomenal as well; you may need to get an extra scoop. Overall, this is a great little restaurant that is nestled in the Surrey Center and off the beaten path of downtown Augusta and Washington road, but after your visit you will definitely put it down as a go-to spot.

I went here with my boyfriend for our Valentine’s Day dinner and our server was extra attentive and personable. Being that it was our first time, we walked around the plaza several times because we didn’t know where it was exactly located and Google Maps was not really helping. It is next to JoS Banks! Anyhow, I was very impressed of the service we received. Kane knew his beer and really took care of us. For drinks, we ordered their gin jitzu and gin cat. Both were made excellent and reasonably priced. We also tried the Cowboy, a beer they rarely have, a pilsner. Medium bodied and smooth. They do have other beers on draft, just ask. For starters, we ordered their sliders and their crab cake. Sliders came with bacon, beef, and brie cheese. Both tasted fine but not something I would order again. Nothing really stood out for both and honestly, could have used more seasoning. For dinner, we ordered their scallops special and catfish en croute. The scallops were beautifully presented with the squash and blueberry glaze however, it’s not something I would order for just a dinner entrée alone. It did leave me hungry and I ended up ordering more food. The catfish was delicious with collard greens on the side and the en croute was made perfect so you can see the flakes fall into place. The only thing I would suggest is to brown it more on the edges so it’s a little more crispy. For the extra food I got, I ended up getting charcuterie and cheese. They all cost $ 5 each and any extra sides,(we got sweet peppers) were also $ 5. I wished that the restaurant would have a flat price for just a meat and cheese board so we could taste a bit of everything without paying every thing separately. Overall, the experience was great and I would come again. Maybe with a group of friends so everyone can split the cost for the meat and cheese board ッ

Thanks to Unilocal I discovered this restaurant, the menu items are unique and very well prepared. If you have watched TV and wished this area had a place that serves quality meals similar to what you find on television cooking shows, this is your place. The choices of cheese, wine, and cocktails are enough to keep me coming back. I enjoy the Tappas style menu, especially when with a group. I had the house made sausage plate along with ref dragon cheese. My main course was: Crab Cake Ceasar — $ 12 SEAREDCRABCAKEOVERROMAINE, CROUTONS, PARMESAN&HOUSE Caesar. Evening was great the staff wonderful hosts who make you feel like a VIP. The place is small and reservations are suggested.
