I had my MRI in Open MRI Ausin Aug. 2014. I was really satisfied with them. I had to change my appointment three times and everytime they did it politely. I did not wait to get inside, and MRI process was accurate. They cooperate with me to fax the results to my Doctor twice, again politely. I recommend them strongly

If you’re reading this, then you have my sympathy — sorry you have something that needs an MRI scan. Best of luck, but don’t go here. There’s no way this is their first Unilocal review, bc I found them originally on Unilocal and they had mixed reviews. My guess is that reviews got so bad that they created a new Unilocal profile. Matt, one of the employees, is excluded from this review. He was actually very nice over the phone and in person, and seemed intelligent and considerate. Aside from him, those that I dealt with were very rude, inattentive, and lazy– job dissatisfaction? Firstly, and most significant, they billed my insurance incorrectly. After the service was performed, I got a bill for over $ 1000 more than they had first quoted me! Yeah, it’s just an estimate, but $ 1000 is a big jump. I called billing and luckily, this very kind and smart employee caught the mistake. She noticed they had input the wrong service code or whatever which doubled the cost. Good thing I looked into it. How many us just pay the bill without asking? Secondly, they carelessly misspelled my name. Easy mistake, but crucial if your doctor uses an online database to read your MRI, as most of them do nowadays. I went to three doctor/physical therapy visits before they found the mistake and could locate my MRI. Third, before my Dr.‘s office discovered the typo, I called Ausitn Open MRI and asked them to resend my report. Whoever I spoke with was absolutely no help and just rude. We all have bad days, but this was like the raise your voice, «I hate my job and my life and I’m too lazy and inconsiderate to hide that from the customer”-kind-of-rude. I think it would have taken her less work and trouble to help me than to handle our phone call the way she did. So, be warned. I went here in the first place bc they had the best negotiated rate with my health insurance, but I don’t think this was a «you get what you paid for» situation. There were multiple mistakes and it seemed like they’re trying to rob patients. There was a another review before mine which has been taken down it seems that complained about the same«mistake» in estimating and then charging more later. All the best. Services don’t need to be unpleasant, especially ones that deal with people’s healthcare.
