I’m only just recently branching out from always ordering pepperoni pizza to make up for lost time of not eating pepperoni pizza.(Did you guys realize how good pepperoni pizza is? Can you believe I went my ENTIRECHILDHOOD eating plain cheese pizza and not eating pepperoni pizza because my parents only ever ordered cheese?) And now these guys are throwing a wrench in the works by putting toasted coconut on my pizza?!? And I’m LOVINGIT? This pizza doesn’t travel well in the Givi on the back of your scooter. Even if you have just 2 miles to go between the trailer and home. So if I’m going to give this four stars even though I basically had to reassemble it when I got home, you know it was good.

Pineapple on pizza is nothing exciting but pineapple + coconut + goat cheese on pizza is amazing. That’s what the Pluto pizza is and it’s the only thing I’ve tried because it’s so good I don’t want to eat anything else. The owners/workers are really cool and willing to make modifications for more vegetarian options, etc. I’d honestly rather eat here than Home Slice most of the time. Seriously, try the Pluto pizza. And bring a six pack, this food trailer park is BYOB.

I told the owner that if my pizza had a yearbook I would write, «don’t ever change!» It was so delicious. I got the Pluto. All the pizzas are named after dogs. Great, friendly service. Not much of a wait. I wish my crust was slightly less, well, burnt on the edges, but it was a fair trade for a mostly awesome thin, crispy crust. In competition with VIA313 for best pizza in Austin. AND there’s a sweet dog for you to pet(blue!)

Pretty damn good pizza. Lots of interesting choices and filling for the price. Only point I dock is for the charring on the bottom of the thin crust. That gets kind of annoying, but still overall a great pizza. This trailer also has more regular hours than the other trailers in the park(except for Bananarchy, which always seems open).

Delicious thin-crust pizza with thoughtful vegetarian items. The Snowey is particularly good due to balsamic on it(who would’ve thought?). It’s not too greasy either. Owner and his dog are very nice and laid back, service is quick, and bananarchy is in the same lot for dessert. Don’t bother with other local pizza places that deliver in 78704, they’re almost all disappointing or inconsistent. Just pop by Blue Dog to pick up.

Check in with Unilocal and get a $ 1 off! So we got The Shadow pizza. The crust was good, but the sauce was really sweet and the tomatoes were too… so the pizza was just meh for me. BUT The guy running it was nice and he has a cute dog named Riley.

I dropped back by Blue Dog Pizza today, and it reminded me that I wrote this review a while back. I just thought I’d throw back in and say A) they’re still awesome and B) I actually think their sizing is pretty generous, upon review. I think I was looking at their sizing versus, say, Home Slice, without looking at the price difference. Yes, a large here is much smaller than a large elsewhere, but it’s also close to half the price. So if you’re looking to feed a group, considering ordering a few more pizzas than you normally would, but it will come out to be pretty reasonably priced nonetheless.

This duo does it right. Starting with homemade dough and fresh ingredients you can really taste the«love» that goes into these pies. My personal favorite is the Lassie(cream cheese marinara sauce, goat cheese, mozzarella, shredded gouda, pine nuts, & fresh basil) and adding fresh pineapples. It’s such a great mix of flavors and so fresh that the basil is picked directly from the plant attached to the trailer! They also have a great tasting pie call the«Bad Wolf» it’s their version of the frito pie! A great way to get your childhood favorite on a pizza! Not only is their pizza great, the owners are probably the nicest people I have come across in a long time!

I dont even know where to start. I used to be dedicated only to the Bad Wolf(Frito Chili Pie Pizza, seriously). I never even used to look at the rest of the menu but now that I have had two other pizzas(I feel like I’m cheating on the Wolf), I cant even tell you which one is my favorite…

Austin has a ton of pizza places. Each one is good for it’s own reasons. I go to Mellow Mushroom when I want fresh-made pizza dough(and can withstand the 40 minute wait for food). I go to Frank and Angie’s when I want to get hit in the face with superfluous toppings(the Chairman of the Board has an exceptional toppings-to-pizza ratio). I go to Homeslice when I want to enjoy big slices and people watching on the iconic Soco strip, and I go to Roppolos when I’m drunk. I have a harder time pinpointing why I like Blue Dog so much. It sits unassumingly in the LoFi trailer lot amid Banarchy, Bufalo Bob’s, Osaka, and Grill Haven. The pies are original(especially the Pluto with shaved coconut) but nothing here is any wackier than the slices you’d find at the end of the CiCi’s buffet line. The crusts are thin and crispy, rivaling Salvation Pizza for the best thin crust pizza in town. The cream cheese based pizzas(Zorba, Lassie) are a nice change of pace from the traditional tomato sauce pies, though I wouldn’t recommend planning your entire meal around one — they are plenty heavy and filling. To truly appreciate this place, grab a sixer or cheap wine from the mini-mart across the street to pair with your pizza and post up under the canopy while they are screening cheesy movies from the 70s and 80s.

This is my favorite pizza spot in Austin. I love the so-co trailer lot. The trailer owners are all very friendly, the food is all good, and the lot itself is very cozy. This is a place that’s all about good food and good company. First of all, they specialize in thin crust pizzas. I’ve spent a lot of time talking to the owners(I’m a regular now!), and they make it all by hand using their own recipe. They have a variety of pies named after famous dogs, all of which feature some really unique and DELICIOUS flavor combinations. They do a great job highlighting the tastiness of their ingredients, rather than serve you something greasy and heavy. I’m a big fan of their Pluto pizza– it’s a great take on a classic«Hawaiian» pizza, featuring coconut shavings(I don’t normally go for coconut) and fresh pineapple(I watched them cut it). Furthermore, the couple who owns it are VERY friendly. They are up front, honest, and take pride in their business. Their service is excellent and prompt. One of the greatest surprises I’ve had in Austin is when they relocated temporarily to the East side for SXSW– so nice to see friendly faces and good food in a hectic environment. It’s also nice to know that my money is going back into the neighborhood and to good people. Places and people like this make Austin a great place to live. Give them a try!

Blue Dog Pizza(Concrete Poem) In places like these, the Christmas lights will always stay up year round– framing bare trees in fuzzy reddish glowing. Wishes are wrapped in Gouda and basil and star clouds. He only likes talking about what is happening now. I only like talking about what’s happened before. He asks questions I don’t or won’t answer… except for one about the old man and his motorbike parked in the tree shadows. I say that this might be the last decent meal we eat on this too long street. Sometimes there are blue dogs. There are always wet dogs. Pine nuts love pineapple. Bacon loves coconut. Apple loves soda. Pluto loves pizza.

This place is great. Today was my first day there and I had«The Pluto» pizza, which was delicious. The goat cheese and all the other toppings worked well together and was a great combo. It was probably the best pizza I had since I moved to Austin about a year ago. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

So far, I have had the appetizer pizza with garlic and the wishbone pizza. The crust: a perfect in-house made blend that cooks perfectly crisp with some burnt edges. If you’re a fan of thin crust, then you’ll love it! The crust appears to have some whole grains in it which makes me love it more. The ingredients: a lot of the pizzas have goat cheese, which I am not a fan of, but they attempt to put nice ingredients on the pizza. Many come with pine nuts and basil as well. The sizing: I ordered the medium my first time hoping to have some left overs for later and only ended up eating the whole thing because there weren’t enough for left-overs. In the end, as a small lady, I would order the small and skip the medium(I overate). I would be interested to see the large size. The appetizer with garlic: A little salty but a nice stomach filler. The Whishbone: A nice blend of basil, mozzarella and pine nuts I would order again but might try another pizza minus the goat cheese next time! I will definitely come back, but I will try out some other trailers around town first!

I have this terrible thing with trailers. Once I start, it’s very difficult to stop until I end up with several«to-go» orders at home. First, it’s a casual single stop. Then, I need to try just one more. It’s trailer food, so they’r smaller portions, right? Ugh! After grubbing at Odd Duck and Treyz, my husband and I figured we drop by the So-Fi trailer park we’d driven by so many times. Two of the four trailers were open and although we weren’t really hungry anymore, we parked, scoped them out and then felt the need to order from both. We like supporting local business! I strolled over to Blue Dog, swooning over their cute trailer, twinkling lights and adorable Blue Heeler hanging outside. I noticed dessert pizzas and instantly knew I could grab a small and have a snack for later. I wanted The Toto(cinnamon apples, strudel, cream cheese icing), but they had just sold out, so I ordered The Scooby Snacks(graham cracker, marshmallows, chocolate chips, streussel). This gem came out melty, gooey and AWESOME. I loved the crust, too. The couple that works in the trailer is really sweet and their savory pizzas look wonderful. I can’t wait to try some more! BONUS: The So-Fi trailer park is often showing movies on their projector. Fun!
