Once a year or so, I wash large blankets, sleeping bags, etc. in the bigger washing machines which are available at most neighbourhood laundromats. I was short on time and this was the closest laundry to my home(since the one on 38th& Speedway closed down), so needs must. I’m all for supporting a local business, but… gah. What a dump. Next time, I will plan ahead and go to a place where it’s cleaner, the machines work and someone actually gives a rat’s patootie. The one positive this place has going for it is its very convenient and central location.

Machines are ALWAYS broken, dirty, horrible, cramped space. The only positive is that it’s next to quack’s and other really cool spots you can escape to while your clothes are doing their thang. I wish so so badly they’d give this space some love so it could be my regular spot. I’ll never ever go back unless that happens.

I wish I would have read the reviews of this place before wasting my time and money here. Several of the machines ate my money. When I finally found one that worked, it took over an hour and a half to wash one load of clothes. Because the doors of the machine lock, I couldn’t just pull my clothes out mid-cycle and leave. Don’t come here!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now — I’m sad to be adding another subpar review of this place, but I’ve hit a wall. Before I use a washer, I often check the inner lining at the bottom to check for random left-behind items from previous users. Often it’s just hair or change — nothing too surprising. But on a whim I continued looking further up the lining(on the sides) only to discover a disgusting build-up of gunk. I checked all the washers and for the most part they all have something gross growing/collecting in the liners. Twice now I’ve informed the baristas at Quack’s(who now own this place) of the situation. Both times I was reassured that the manager would be immediately informed. As of today, it has still not been addressed. Sadly, that’s the last straw. I no longer feel I can come here and leave with clothes I trust to be clean when I know the remnants of many washes past continue to build up in the liners, nor do I recommend anyone else take that chance.

Location is the only thing going for this place. Every bad idea you ever had about laundromats is true here: hot as hell even at six in the morning. Dingy, dull with several(old) machines out of order constantly. Last time I went both change machines were broken. Not sure how you run a coin-operated business without coins, but… Now, supposedly you can run next door to Quacks(which actually owns the Laundromat) for change but as you know from my previous review of them, they’re not actually delighted to see even their own customers much less anyone else. At $ 2.50/wash you’re paying a lot for the privilege of using this rundown shop but if there is any bright side, the large commercial dryers will typically finish your load for .50-.75 cents. As I said, nothing to recommend this depressing place other than location.

This laundry place surprised me to have a starting minimum of 2 for a load of laundry. The $ 2 laundry machines weren’t working either. It is unkept. It is dirty. Information about management is hard to find and in code. There is not a number in sight. I had to google a code name to find a number. Spy cameras are everywhere though! Doors automatically lock after a certain time too. This was made clear. Management solved the problem as quickly as they could which was nice. This laundry does not have a television or regular staff on hand. It is not air conditioned.

Just as crappy as every other run down laundromat in town, only costs more than twice as much($ 2.75 for a regular sized washer). You could buy a washer and dryer for what it costs to do laundry here. The one time I was there I also witnessed the owner verbally berate a woman who used the change machine to get quarters for non-laundry purposes. Heaven forbid! Get a grip buddy. There’s no reason to give this place business if you have any other options.

Bonus: one of the drunks that was begging for change stole my laundry bag. This place usually smells like an outhouse, and every time I’ve used it, some easily resold items have gone missing. The machines are all old and in bad repair.

$ 2.50 per washing machine load(27+ minutes a load), $ 0.25 per 5 minutes of dryer time. Seems exorbitant, but at least it’s convenient when your own apartment complex’s washroom people take forever to empty out the coin receptacles, and they get so full that you can’t put any more coins in.
