Was a little hesitant to eating here over the food court selection. The chicken tikka was the perfect amount of spice and a good naan to meat ratio. The beef and lamb gyro was tender and very well put together. The flavors in both gyros were prominent and filling. Would definitely buy a wrap even if I wasn’t hungry. Service was quick and polite.

Food is fresh and good and has Vegetarian. They even brought food over for us to sample and because the guy knew I was a vegetarian, as I had previously purchased from them, he went back to the truck and brought back a vegetarian falafel sample for me. Love them!

Awesome food! Had the lamb/beef gyro and it was great. Excellent spice and flavor. The rice bowl and falafel were just as good. I ate at the food truck at the Round Rock outlet mall.

Delicious! I live in the Domain and get it whenever i can. The wrap and the rice bowl are awesome. Get there early, they run out of the rice bowl when they are busy!

I was hesitant to eat here at first cause there are so many other places to eat in the domain. Holy moly am I glad I did ! I’ve been to a few ok so so spots at around austin for a good gyro but after sinking my teeth into one of these beef and lamb gyros at kebabeque it was love at first taste. Kebaboliciose and a couple forget all other spots dnt have any competition on this spot and they have two locations. I’d recommend the chicken tikka shawarma for first timer picky people and the beef and lamb gyro for real gyro lovers. They are open from 11 am to 3 pm then close and re open around 6 pm to 9 pm dnt forget to ask for it a lil spicy if your not used to hot and spicy food.

Located in front of the iPic theatres at the domain, Kababeque set themselves apart from the other NY Halal carts by fusing Indian and Mediterranean together. The menu is simple. You have your choice of chicken tikka, lamb/beef or falafal in a wrap or over rice. They were out of the rice option when I was there so I picked the chicken tikka shawarma wrap. The chicken was full of flavor and I would rate it pretty high among the competition. Their portions are among the smallest I have seen for this kind of food and I was disappointed at that. The gyro is snack size and unfortunately the prices are not. Although what isn’t over priced at the Domain? I’ve had the lamb/beef over rice on a prior visit and while the rice itself was okay, the meat & seasoning was pretty good. It was a better value than their wraps but portions does not compare to halal bros or halal corner. If I find myself at the Domain and I need a quick bite, I would probably come here because I love this type of food but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. The food is halal per the signs on the truck.

I had the Chicken Tikka Shawarma Wrap and asked for extra spicy sauce. Wow! From the first bite, a heavenly choir began singing from my tastebuds. The young man at the window and on the grill was friendly and informative. But the food is so good that a discussion of the staff is irrelevant. I would come here as often as possible, even if I were insulted with every bite. Fusion does not always work. This time, it worked so well that each cuisine not only complements, but possibly even elevates the other. The chicken was fully cooked, but tender and moist, with the perfect char. It’s like pollo asado cooked by an Indian chef and served in a middle eastern restaurant. The Naan was fresh and pliable, but it held together perfectly, despite my extra sauce. The upshot? Do yourself a favor and go. Go. Why are you still reading this? GO!

Overpriced and small. Not worth the trip. But if you’re already shopping at the domain and hungry, it’s a pretty good option compared to all the other sit-down places at the domain.

Spent the morning walking around The Domain and worked up a decent sweat and quite the appetite. Here comes Kababeque in all its glory! My Bf got the chicken shawarma rice bowl and I the chicken shawarma wrap. I originally asked for the taziki sauce on the side and the young man was honest said he accidentally put it on my wrap and offered to remake it. I’m not fussy so I declined! Best mistake ever. Not only was it flavorful and delicious it paired so well with the spicy chili sauce! Perfect little lunch for our afternoon adventure !

I like this place, 3.5 stars. The lamb and beef could be a little less salty. If I were a suspicious woman I would say they over salt it just a tad to increase drink consumption and profits– but who would do that?! Wink wink. The tzatziki sauce is nice. It needs a touch more garlic. I like that they put hot sauce on their shawarmas and gyros, similar to Verts. It adds a needed kick, but probably also contributes to the saltiness, but I cannot be sure because the meat is salty. The nan bread is soft, yeasty, but not overpowering and is the best part of the meal honestly. The lettuce is never wilted– bonus! The lamb and beef are cut too finely and I consider this the greatest detractor to an otherwise decent sandwich. What is it with people slicing and then macerating the meat into indistinguishable particles? Do people in Austin lack dental apparati to chew their food, or again is this just a means to undercut portion size in favor of profits? If so, then at $ 9 a gyro they are doing something right for the bottom line– but wrong for your wallet. They used to have fries(or at least my drunken memories of them are filled with fries), but those are sadly gone with the wind. Maybe they are a winter addition? Please please please since I always end up here when the Chi’lantro truck beside it has mysteriously closed or disappeared and all I want are some fries.

Freakin’ Amazing! My family and I were visiting from California and found this place off of …simply amazing! They were very close to authentic NYC Halal Carts found all over the city. We had everything except the felafel; which I presume is probably outstanding as well. MoorAli(sp?) was the cook the nigh we were at Amy Donovan Plaza. Try it out, you won’t be sorry.

As a self proclaimed shawarma and gyro connoisseur, I was very excited to come here. Sad to say, I was disappointed. I got the lamb and beef gyro and it… meh. The meat felt dry and the sauce didn’t work well with it either. Another reason for the meh is the price. At Peace Bakery, you get a shawarma twice the size of this for $ 5. The gyro was average to small sized and it was $ 11. The guy at the counted didn’t seem very happy either. Great name, nice location, but something didn’t quite click. Won’t be returning.

Alright, so my stomach cannot handle spicy food, but, from my wife’s reaction she absolutely loved it. I myself went with the hummus and pita, the gentleman working hooked me up the sauce and it was very good. The service and demeanor of the man working the truck was very pleasant, polite and helpful. It is great to grab some great food and kick back in the lawn chairs while the kids play on the play set. Great small dinner/snack. I highly recommend this place.

They brought a food truck right across from my place of work and decided to try it on my lunch break. Thankfully there wasn’t a massive line. The food, as I currently write and eat it, is great! Spicy sauce has a kick in it that’ll sure to clear up your sinuses! Flavorful and were very timely in getting food out. Hot and the bread(naan) was tasty too. If they show up again I’ll definitely give them another go :)

After an exhausting day at ACL, and the LONGEST trek to the free shuttles, we were dropped off downtown in a ravenous, zombie-like state. It was past midnight. We hadn’t eaten anything since lunch because we planted ourselves close to the stage for Eminem. We were out for blood. Within minutes, we came across Kababeque. The hunt for food was over. I think it’s Indian/Mediterranean fusion. I didn’t even bother reading the whole menu. #1 was a chicken tikka masala wrap. WHATEVER, I’LLTAKEONEOFTHOSE. My friends ordered the chicken and lamb with rice, which is similar to the stuff at Halal Guys. My wrap had chicken and veggies rolled into naan, with tzatziki yogurt and«special spicy sauce.» They forgot to put the spicy sauce on the side for me. They offerred to remake it, but I wasn’t about to wait a moment longer before refueling my starving body. I ate the whole damn thing. This was the fastest, quietest meal of my entire life. Nobody uttered a single word as we scarfed down our food. Total silence. This is relevant because I rarely: 1. Finish my food 2. Stop talking. I’m not sure if it was that good or if I had mad munchies, but either way, I’m grateful Kababeque was at the right place at the right time.

WOW… I AMOFFICIALLYADDICTED… I work over night at a Bank’s Fraud deptartment and I stumbled upon KABABaQue I think 3 weeks ago while driving by 5th Street looking for some grub. I got their Lamb Wrap for my-self and Lamb Salad for my co-worker and we both loved it alot. The meat was very well cooked and the amazing red and white sauces are to die for… I tried their Chicken tikka as well and today I just had their LAMBRICE. AMAZING!!! First I must admit, I tried this place after a long night of bar hoping the downtown Austin metro area. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Shwarma Wrap. The chicken was not the best I’ve had in a Greek/Mediterranean place, however what saved this place from the review reaper was something unexpected. The vegetables used in my wrap were so fresh I could practically taste the fields there were grown in. Also, the tzatziki sauce was the bomb. It was like Hidden Valley Ranch decided to go Greek for a night. All in all, I would recommend this place as a for sure stop on the sober up highway.
