Bad experience here — had annual service work done plus a repair and find out that the repair was not done properly. Also got paint overspray on my boat while it was there — I will never be back

Poor warranty service for a check engine light that led to a seized engine. After realizing what the actual problem was with the engine they refused to cover it under warranty do to «incomplete paper work» that was not proved during the sale. Forced to take legal action… Beware!

Great service in repairs! Took my jet ski in without an appointment and was told it would be ok. They said it would take a week for service and I was good with that. The next day I get a call the ski is ready! Two day turn around in June just after the lake went up 40′. A big thank you!

I never give out 5 stars but Thad and his team at Ski Dock are amazing. We were in the market for a used runabout and visited with the Ski Dock team at this year’s Austin Boat Show. We weren’t in a real hurry to buy but they suggested January was a good time to shop for a boat. They were very respectful of our budget and desired boat features and were able to work with a boat owner that had her boat on consignment with them to get a sale price that was good for both parties. Thad met my entire family(including 3 grown kids, a grandma and a spouse) and took us for a test drive before we closed the deal to be sure it met our needs. He was quick to point out some minor issues with the 7 year old boat to make sure everyone was on the same page and there were no post sail surprises. Then they recommended a great marina on Lake Travis for us to rent a slip from. He delivered the boat to the slip, worked with the marina owner to set the lift up for our boat and then met me and my kids there the following weekend to give us personal driving and parking lessons. Yep that’s right he took us out on the lake and taught the kids how to drive the boat and me some of the tricks to docking the particular boat. My family is so pleased to have a boat and are all thankful we bought it from Thad and his team.

The staff is amazing. Amanda was possibly the coolest person I have met. Knowledgable and great at what she does. She made sure I got a smoking deal on my Z3. Sebastian is smooth and laid back. He has a sick surf inventory and he knows his products. Peter makes you feel right at home. You want to sit down and eat some BBQ with this guy. Trustworthy fella that knows a lot about a lot of things. especially boats. David is a superb Service Mgr. Very nice professional gentleman. He takes care of your boat and he gets it done right. The Boat Dock has great products and really great ppl. I am super happy with my new Z3.

I don’t give very many 5 star reviews but I do believe Ski Dock deserves them. I bought a new chaparral from them in 2004 and only paid 20K. The boat has performed wonderfully without any repairs at all other than routine maintenance. The sales staff seemed to be very well trained, knowledgeable and they were not pushy which in my mind, very important. I bring my boat in for servicing and everything is done timely, efficiently and any concerns are brought to my attention. I really could not have had a smoother boat purchase and maintenance experience.

Just purchased a used Tige from Ski Dock! They took great care of me and did a factory style ballast installation. Works great! I’m a first time boat owner so they even drove with me to the dock to help me launch for the first time. Highly recommended!

I purchased a ski boat for $ 52,000 from Ski Dock. As part of the purchase agreement Ski Dock was to install a $ 3000 wakeboard tower, and to include a new matching spare tire and rim, install a cradle style spare tire carrier between the framing members of the boat trailer, and a replace a cracked lid on the swim deck. I live in Atlanta and drove to Austin to purchase the boat(14 hour drive). I was told the boat would be ready for me when I arrived. Upon arrival they had not even purchased or installed the spare tire carrier. No big deal. I’ll do it when I get home after they ship me carrier. After several phone calls and weeks I finally received the spare tire carrier. As it turns out the carrier sent to me was a cheap $ 20 bolt to the frame type carrier vs the expensive cradle type of carrier. After complaining to them about the wrong carrier was shipped to me. I was told later that was the best they could do!!! The swim deck lid was not installed either and not ordered prior to my arrival. It was later shipped to ME for ME to install. Now it was time to leave for the long journey back to Atlanta. Less than 2 hours of driving time from the dealership I had FOUR flat tires!!! I was assured they were new tires when I left Ski Dock and the spare was new(as they appeared new). After further investigating of the FOURFLATS the tires were CHEAPEST tires you can buy. And the tire load rating wasn’t even capable of carrying the weight of the boat and trailer. They were severely undersized!!! Serious safety issue for those considering a boat!!! New tires with proper load ratings had to be purchased at a cost to ME of $ 600!!! When I went to use the spare tire for the first time I noticed it wasn’t even the right size tire and the rim had rust on it! So much for being new. It was as if they realized last minute they needed a spare for me to leave and grabbed one off another trailer without checking the proper size. Now to the wakeboard tower. Ski Dock claims they had installed«HUNDREDS» of wakeboard towers! After using my boat needing gas. I arrived at a marina for my first fuel fill and was unable to gas up the boat. SKIDOCK installed the wakeboard tower over the GAS cap leaving no room to get the fuel fill nozzle in. I was unable to fill the boat with gas!!! I took the boat to a mechanic and he said he could see where Ski Dock tried to retrofit the cap to gain access to the fill. Ski Dock new of the their error and just sent me on my way. Nearly $ 500 later it was corrected. Ski Dock employees were great to work with leading up to the purchase agreement. But once the deal was done they were DONE with ME! I was told by an employee to send copies of the my receipts and I would be reimbursed. I sent them promptly. After several weeks of answering machines, emails and texts messages with no response they decided not to reimburse me!!! Claiming their wasn’t enough profit in the boat purchase to reimburse me. Hell with the profit! What about the reputation of the business??? I WOULDNOTEVERCONSIDERDOINGBUSINESSWITHTHEMEVERAGAIN!!! IFYOUDO, BUYERBEWARE!!!

This review pertains specifically to the service department. As a result of being a huge procrastinator, I needed a last minute freeze protection done on my boat back in February when Austin temperatures dropped in to the single digits. They got me in right away and saved my boat from a super expensive repair. While it was there, they even noticed that a bolt was missing from one of my belts and asked me if I had noticed a squeaking noise lately. I told them I had and they explained that the missing bolt was the cause. This may seem like a routine thing for them to catch but the fact of the matter is that I had taken my boat in previously to the dealer I bought it from, who is also the dealer that represents the manufacturer of the boat I own, and they couldn’t figure it out. So I authorized that repair as well and they got my boat back to me in better shape than I brought it to them at a very reasonable price. That visit alone gave me a great first impression, but it was my second experience with them that really locked up my 5STAR rating. Last week, I made plans with several of my buddies to meet out on the lake at 4:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. At just about noon, I went to my storage to grab my boat and make sure I had everything I needed to get out on the lake. As I uncovered the boat, I made a discovery that sent my heart right down into the pit of my stomach. Wrapped around my steering wheel was a Ziploc bag containing all the engine clamps and plugs that keep my boat watertight when they are installed in their proper place. I realized at that moment that they had performed a full winterization of my boat as opposed to the simple freeze protect that I had requested. I have no idea how to put all those pieces back together and I knew the lake trip would have to be cancelled if I couldn’t get it back in to the shop. I called back over to the Ski Dock and the service manager told me he would be happy to help, but they didn’t have an opening until May 3rd!!! Yikes!!! Fortunately for me, he listened to me when I told them they had made a mistake and I needed his help to fix it. He told me he would look up my file and call me back. Just as he promised, he called back about thirty minutes later and said that he noticed in my file that I had indeed requested a freeze protect only and that he wanted to help me out in order to make up for their mistake. He told me to show up by 2:00 and he would pull a tech off another job and get me fixed up in time to still make it to the lake by 4:30. I showed up right on time and he pulled my boat in immediately. Not only did he get my boat de-winterized, he also noticed a few small leaks that he said were undectable the first time i came in due to the freezing weather, and corrected those for free as well. All of that was done in under an hour and they saved my afternoon on the lake. The Ski Dock service department has just earned a customer for life!
