Phone in need of repair? Fix it yourself.
I took a phone in for repair by a professional (named Mehran) because I thought he could do a better and faster job than me. He had it for almost a week, charged a diagnostic fee and told me it was «unfixable».
So I went home and decided to upgrade the operating system software that I downloaded for free from the manufactures website just as a last chance attempt to repair the problem and now the phone works great!
I left him a message about this with 2 of his colleagues but he has not responded.
Bottom line: Don’t take your phone here for repairs.

Really didn’t care for this business at all.
Story is that I had a very old cell phone and my gf just got a new cell phone when she renewed her contract. Since her phone was so nice I searched the internet to see if I could use it.
The websites I checked indicated I could get it unlocked and use on any CDMA network like Sprint and Verizon. I have Verizon so I wanted her Sprint phone unlocked so I could use on my Verizon account.
Well I went into Snipwire and explained in detail all of this and they said that they would unlock the phone. On the work order it even said that I wanted to use the Sprint phone on the Verizon network. I came back and paid the $ 40 dollars for the unlock and then went to the Verizon store to move my number to the Sprint phone. They said that wouldn’t work so I called Snipwire and the tech said to contact Sprint and have the ESM (?) number released. Called Sprint and found that the number had been released. Called Verizon and they said nope It won’t work. Called Snipwire and they said I had asked to have it unlocked which they did. I was just trying to find out why it wasn’t and all he could say was that it was unlocked and that’s all I wanted. He acted like all I wanted was to get my money back and kept repeating that he had done what was requested. In frustration I gave up.
I would have thought that he would have known how to get the phone to work on my network. That’s why I took it there. I have no clue about cell phones and how they work. If it’s electronics my son shows me how to work it.
Very disappointed with the business.
