My best friend used to get her hair cut by Tiffany years ago, so I looked up the salon and booked an appointment with Laura. She was so sweet, knowledgeable and talented! I actually loved getting to know her too. I came all the way from Temple for my once-​every-​6months to a year haircut because I have had too many botched haircuts. She spent the time to ask me about my daily hair routine, how often I washed/​brushed/​cut my hair, what products I used. She was very detailed and spent time making sure the layers were perfect. She did not push me to buy the products, actually did not even mention them at all… I absolutely loved that and have never had someone NOT push products. I will definitely be coming back for my next cut or color. She’s the best! If you get slightly lost like I did, just know that the sign on the outside is the name of the salon, but she has her own area inside (turn left as soon as you walk in the front door)

The sweetest person you’ll ever meet! Laura takes the time to listen to what you want. Always does an amazing job. You can see the love and hard work she puts into your hair. Going on 3+ years with her! She’s amazing!

I got my hair cut and colored (for the first time professionally) with Tiffany on a recommendation from a really good friend. She was fabulous and it was the first time I had ever trusted my hair to someone else fully. I had absolutely no complaints and my hair was perfect.
Then she moved to LA (sad) and I started going to Laura. She cut and dyed my hair and the same results. No complaints, and she’s the only other person I’ve completely trusted with my hair.
I’ve heard so many horror stories from people about their botched cuts or dye jobs and I can confidently and safely say that I have not had that problem with either Tiffany or Laura and I have confidence I never will for as long as I continue to go to them.
They really listen to what you want and will always do their best to make you look like the best version of yourself. I always get so many compliments on my hair, and before I went to Studio Tilee, that didn’t really happen.
I’d rather pay their prices and never have to worry than go somewhere sub par or just OK and pay cheaper prices and worry about the quality of haircare I’m getting and end up having to go elsewhere to fix the bad cut or dye job.

I relocated back to Texas 4 years ago and one of the things I was nervous about was if I could find someone I trusted to do my hair. I had just started coloring my hair when I was in Chicago, and it took me a long time to even get to that point. I searched on Unilocal and Studio Tilee stood out to me. The reviews said over and over again that Laura and Tiffany took their time and didn’t surprise you with the result. They did/​do what you ask. The first time I sat in Laura’s chair, I found this to be true. She took the time to listen to the history of my hair, she spent time studying my hair and we looked at various pictures together. I walked out of there with exactly what I was looking for and with a new friend in Laura. I live an hour north in Temple and I have driven to Austin to sit in Laura’s chair ever since. She is so worth it! About a year ago, I noticed the pics on her IG of balayage looks.(follow @studiotilee) I took the plunge and let her go for it. She is an artist! I get comments on my hair a lot. Laura is professional, sincere and kind. She doesn’t gossip and she truly wants to know more about you… if you want her to! Sometimes I am so wiped out when I sit in her chair, that I need a little silent therapy. But that only lasts a few minutes until we are laughing and chatting. I am thrilled for Laura with the new location. It is so beautiful and calming with the private room, that closes off all outside chatter. Laura takes her time and does a great job. You can trust her!

I have been in Austin for about 5yrs and I’ve been coming to Studio Tilee for about 5yrs. I will NEVER trust anyone else but Studio Tilee. Laura has been my main girl, but Tiffany has done my hair too. Tiffany did both my hair and makeup for my wedding and I was so extremely happy with the way everything turned out; but, like I said Laura has been and will forever be my main girl. She has cut my pixie so many different ways & dyed it so many different colors: from red to blonde, dark brown, silver, even lavender & blue! She is extremely talented and always looks out for me & my hair (even after all those color changes my hair is healthy because she is very cautious with everything she does). Both Laura & Tiffany are very professional, extremely talented AND most importantly their priority is to make their customers feel amazing, which is exactly how I feel after I leave their salon every time. If I could, I would give them 10 stars!!!

I’ve been going to Laura for my haircuts for a long time now and it’s been a wonderful experience. She always cuts my hair the way I want and when I’m not sure, her recommendations always turn out great. She’s very attentive and really personable. She makes you feel at home. It’s always a pleasure talking to her while I get my haircut and I couldn’t have asked for a better person.

So here’s the deal: You either like your stylist or you don’t, and if I don’t cut & color my hair on a regular basis I look like an angry Asian elf. Tiffany & Laura are artists, I’m a limited canvas, but I believe they enjoy the challenge. I don’t make suggestions and I’m happy with the results. This is why they’re pros and I’m not.
Tiffany now does the Studio Tilee in LA and Laura does the one here in Austin, in that Burnet complex with TacoDeli, Beijing Massage, and Twisted Root. You book your reso online, there’s often a three to four week wait, but I always make a note that if something opens up sooner, I’ll flex my schedule. But usually good things happen to those who wait. So set a spell. Take your shoes… on second thought, never mind.

I’ve been seeing Laura for my hair for several years now, and I have never been unsatisfied with the cuts I’ve gotten. She has always been very communicative and responsive to my requests, and has given me a lot of advice with my hair over the years. The location itself is also nice and quiet, and is very relaxing. Laura is the only person in Austin I trust with my haircuts and color. She’s very experienced and listens to my ever-​changing wants. I change my color or hairstyle every few months and she never disappoints. She’s very accommodating and listens to make sure she’s giving me the right look. Her new studio is beautiful and very calming. It’s like having your own private stylist!
