Texas Steak Out

Got most of our order wrong, bloody unfried pork ribs, spoiled sour cream on multiple occasions, no extras my friend ordered on his burger, couldn’t even cook my baked potato thoroughly. Some food we have tried had been pretty good but the accuracy of the order is always bad. Catfish and steaks are real good but it seems everything else is bad or deadly. Avoid at all costs. You will not get what you pay for.

Good option for delivery. Ordered on 2 different occasions. Ordered steak dinner and a salmon dinner. Salmon was cooked well in my opinion. Both with side salads and baked potatoes. Food was tasty and came individually wrapped and neat which I liked. No complaints and I would order from them again.

I had texas steak out last night. my wife and I had our dinner to be delivered our order came to the total of $ 63.00 and we asked on the phone if there delivery person has change and they said yes.
When the person came he said he did not have any change. I did not want to wait for him to come back with the change so I can give a tip. So I let him have the hole $ 80. I do not like having delivery people who do not have change so I can tip them and get a little change back.
The food was cold and doll. I will not use them again.

I came here once before on a Friday for lunch. Took 45 minutes to get our food. They were extremely busy for take out/​delivery. Which I figured that’s why it took so long. I ordered Catfish per suggestion from cashier. It was excellent. My wife had a ribeye which was kinda blah. So I decided to try it out once again just to see if they had had a bad day. I ordered the ribeye. All I can say is «The ketchup was good» will never be back

Had seen Texas Steak Out from 183 so decided to give it a try. I ordered the small sirloin with salad and sweet potato as my side. The salad arrive with fresh and crisp greens, cucumbers and tomatoes — actually a great salad so was looking forward to a great main entrée. The steak was very thin and tough — I ordered medium, but literally so thin I could not determine how it was cooked. The sweet potato was huge and I was unable to finish due to the amount. It was well done and served with brown sugar which I could not bring myself to place the sugar on the potato when it was on a savory plate with steak. I may try one more time, however I will NOT order a steak on a future trip.

I’ve spent quite a bit of money here over the past few weeks, because most of the time the crew at Texas Steak Out gets it just right! I do suggest ordering at atypical times/​days, since they seem to get a little careless at high volume times (forget a roll or double patty burger). Overall, the food is good, and you can’t beat steak delivered straight to your door!

wanted to try it out. For $ 13.99 yes you get a steak. Employees were friendly and figured they were on the ball. Food came out in exactly 15 minutes as promised. First of all they forgot the fries, so we made an extra trip to Wendys. They didn’t put cheese on my wife’s burger as ordered. SP fries were soggy. The steak did taste really good but it’s small and for the price you can get a lot more at Texas Roadhouse. It seems their market is steak delivery and if that’s what you want it’s probably worth the money.

Delivery guy never showed up. When I called the restaurant to check on my order, they were already closed. I had called at 11:01 pm, so I guess they really wanted to go home.

You’ll see my previous reviews. Just had a ribeye again with salad & sweet potatoe. As always it’s good, I cut my steak with a plastic butter knife, the sweet potatoe was wrapped in foil and tender as hell. I’ve eaten here at least 12 times since I’ve been staying around here and I’ve only ever had one complaint. See previous reviews.

Update: Sent an email out letting the owner know of my negative experience and acted very quickly to make that negative experience to a postivie one. Will be trying this restaurant out again because of the owners quick action!
Hey we ordered off the website and that was easy but when the delivery driver came to drop off the food and after we tipped him and while he was walking away he called us «Douchebags». Did call restaurant back and manager offered a cheesy $ 5 credit for his delivery guy insulting us. Will not be coming back here and will be letting everyone I know of the poor service and negative experience I had.

I love this place.
My boss took me here for a quick lunch. Not fancy. No frills but the best turkey burger and steak fries in town.
They have a great variety of burgers and sides. Their steak fries were piping hot and lightly seasoned. I’d go back just for the fries!!!
We ate in so didn’t have delivery issues (which clearly has effected their ratings and scores.)
I can’t confirm the quality of their steaks but they have the burgers down pat and thats what Ill be back for. Quick and convenient. Adequate parking.
My employer is a regular. I am glad he brought me here because I am not sure I’d have stopped in on my own.
The owner was working the cash register the day we were there. Nice man and nice to see a restaurant owner doing hands on work and making sure our order was perfect. AND IT WAS.
Will definitely be back.

I ordered 3 steak dinners to be delivered and 1 order of buffalo wings.
Person A ordered Medium well steak with mushrooms, baked potato, salad and roll
Person B ordered Well steak with mushrooms, Baked Potato, salad and roll
Person C ordered Medium with mushrooms, Baked potato, salad and roll
I was told it would take 2 hours for the food to be delivered.
I was excited and Happy when it arrived 45 minutes early. But was immediately sadden when the delivery driver only had part of my order.
He only had 3 steaks, 2 potatos, 1 salad, 1 roll and buffalo wings.
I made sure to check while the delivery driver was at the door seieng he was tryingt o hand me 1 bag that cost me basically $ 80.00, which my credit card was already charged.
So the driver gave us what food he had and told us he would be back in 20 minutes with the remainder of the order. 45 minutes later… we got the rest of the food.
The steak was on the sweet side. Over all my family felt liek the side dishes were better then the main dish. If I want a salad I might re order fromt hem again

Haven’t tried the steaks but the cheesesteak is one of the best i’ve had
and it is delivery! Can’t beat that. Was also pleasantly surprised that the fries arrived fresh and crisp too.

Just awful. Cheesesteak is not real steak. It’s weird stringy meat that doesn’t seem to be very tender. I’ve been a professional chef and cook for 16 years and never had a cheesesteak this bad. It’s got cheese on it and that’s good. Bread was soft but the meat was so so so awful. Didn’t bother to eat it. Dr pepper was ice cold and perfect. Customer service was decent. Though he charged me $ 15.00 for my sandwich fries and coke and didn’t tell me about the daily lunch special which could have saved me $ 4.50.

I’ve ordered from this place twice over the past year (several months apart). The first time, I ordered the medium sirloin (cooked medium-​medium rare) but it arrived well-​done. I also ordered the garlic mashed potatoes which was made with fresh garlic but did not taste good at all. The garlic appeared to be burnt and overpowered the taste of the potatoes.
Fast forward to last night, when I ordered again. (Was feeling lazy but wanted steak so I decided to give this place another shot after reading a positive review about the sirloin.)
Orderd a large sirloin (cooked medium) which arrived well-​done again. They double-​wrap their steaks in foil which contained the heat but also allowed the steak to continue cooking while in transit. It was flavorless and very chewy. Talk about disappointing.
Ordered the loaded garlic mashed potatoes and nothing changed. The garlic was just on this side of being burnt, overpowered the taste of the potatoes. As far as «loaded» goes, this usually means: cheese, sour cream, bacon, butter and possibly some chives. Not with this place — all you get is cheese and butter.
That said, I would not order from this place again. I gave them a second shot and they failed miserably. How a restaurant can call themselves a steak house yet have the worst steaks is beyond me. Stick to Roadhouse… you have to drive to get it but it’s worth it.

Not super happy that I ordered ribs (and no where does it say they are not available on Wednesday), onion rings, and fried jalapenos. Granted, one of my contact phone numbers was incorrect, but I had 2 phone contact options on my profile. When I called an hour and 10 minutes later to check the status, I was told by «Jeff» that «Ribs aren’t available tonight» despite the order successfully going through and my card being charged. Frustrated and unwilling to wait an hour or «get close to the original total» (Are you serious?), I requested a refund. «How long before I can expect the refund to hit my account?»
Jeff’s reply: «I’m not sure, sir. I’d have to contact the corporate office because (are you ready for this?) the site and our store are not connected, so we don’t have access to your money.»
Fine. I guarantee 2 things: 1. My money will be in my bank by Friday via refund or chargeback. 2. I will not ever order from this business again and shall inform all of my friends about the situation.
The food may be great and this may be a one-​off situation, but the shoddy handling of my issue and non-​outside-​the-​box thinking to call my other phone number after taking my money for goods not rendered is appalling.

I did get my refund, eventually. It took a week and I had to keep after them. Really reaffirmed my feelings on the place (and reading other reviews, I may have dodged a bullet. It doesn’t seem that the quality of food could compete with the quality of service.) And, no, Geoffrey L., I won’t be giving you another shot.
I was in the food service industry (from busser to bartender to head waiter and asst. GM). I know a train wreck when I see one. There’s no need to go up, put myself in that wreck, and expect it to not affect me.
I was lazy, and I learned the price of my laziness. I can make a better steak blindfolded with a can of Sterno than what I could order from a food delivery place.
No need to respond — and definitely don’t contact me.

Ok folks, this is fast food, not an upscale steak house.
They do sell steaks, which I am not sure I would go for —
since the steak that went into my steak salad was a cheap piece of tough meat.
So why the four stars?
Steak salad, chicken salad and salmon salad.
If I am looking for a utility meal, grill up some protein and put in on a salad and give it to me, and I am your friend for life.
And on a utility lunch, no one is expecting a legendary steak from Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn.
The meat is cheap, but there is a lot of it and the cooking is tasty enough.
You eat lots of greens with it, and you walk out with money still in your pocket.
And yes, the steak serving on your greens is generous.
So this beats McDonald’s by a New York mile —
but you get your meal in about the same time.

It isn’t that I don’t like their food (I always get a burger) but they forgot my fries multiple times I ordered from here. They have even so much as forgot condiments and items that they say come with the burger (i.e. pickles)
They do not stick to their delivery times, and today when I called to ask where my order was, I was told it was en route and then promptly hung up on. I placed my order at 12:23, and my estimated delivery time was 1:07pm. I called them at 1:40 to ask about my order. It is now 2pm and I still do know where my order is. At least previously, after I call the store, the driver would call me.
I am over this and it is definitely the last time I am ordering from this place.

They don’t seem to know their own prices and then tell you it comes with stuff but charge extra for that. Better just go to water burger.
District manager argues about everything! Don’t waste your time or money!

I wanted delivery but, didn’t want to do the normal pizza, chineese, etc. so I decided to give this place a try.
I ordered through grubhub type delivery service. It was on-​time and all the food was warm and that is about the best that I can say about this experience.
I ordered 6 of the teryaki wings ($ 5.99), 6 of the hot wings ($ 5.99), 8 oz. Ribeye (Medium Rare $ 16.99) and that came with a salad and I got the asparagus as my side. I also added the mushrooms and onions to my steak.
The wings were undercooked and we all know how that is, slimy and fatty skin, yuck. The teryaki sauce was not that great but, I do have to say the hot sauce had great flavor to it! They also included blue cheese dressing and lots of it so, that was nice as well. After I cooked them longer in my oven, which defeats the purpose of ordering delivery, they were much better.
The ribeye was a little overdone but, I assume that was because it traveled wrapped in foil which cooks it another degree up! The meat quality was not good at all. It was chewy and gritty which is strange since the fat on a ribeye gaurantees that it will be tender. The mushrooms and onions were good as was the seasoning on the ribeye.
The asparagus was cooked well but, lacked any kind of flavor. The salad was a decent size but, was your garden variety lettuce with a couple cherry tomatoes and a cucumber slice.
I was very disappointed because at this price I could have eaten at Outback and had a sirlion which would have been a better quality. To compete in the land of cattle as a non-​chain you really have to compete and I don’t feel like this place does! Sadly I won’t order again and it would have been really nice to have a steak place that delivers good food!
