I really like the coffee served here. They have a great selection and everything, but it is so expensive. For so people, it’s ok. For me, I like cheap AND good. Which sometimes is rare. The coffee is great and delicious. The pastries are scrumptious. I think this is a great coffee place; just remember if you don’t like expensive things, don’t go here. Instead, you could go to Starbucks for a more cheaper drink!

Great location and not overcrowded. Oatmeal is awesome. The issue I continue to experience is with the bakery items being stale.

Loved their caramel latte which has sugar free vanilla syrup and caramel syrup added. Not too sweet and their coffee has a very delicious taste to it. Far SUPERIOR to Starbucks! Don’t even come to this place bcuz you will become addicted!

I have gone through their drive through multiple times in the last few months and every time it’s amazing. Sometimes you have to wait a while but it’s worth the wait. SO much better than any Starbucks. Coffee actually has good flavor, and chai lattes are delicious. I love how close it is to my sisters house! The service is always great-very friendly.

I’ve had a long relationship with this coffee bean location. I llike about this establishment because regardless of their imperfections, they always go above and beyond to make the customer happy. I used to run a coffee shop; morning rushes can be hetic to say the least! The people behind the counter at this Coffee Bean never fail to supprise me with positive attitudes and a genuine desire to get things right. My only complaint is the lack of natural sugar substitutes like truvia. But then again, this is Steiner Ranch, not some hipster juice bar on South Congress. I guess that’s to be expected.

Ok, I love Coffee Bean. I’m one of their biggest fans in general. I loved them in So Cal and I was so excited when they moved to Austin. So imagine my excitement when they opened in my parents’ neighborhood out in Steiner! Yay… or not. Let me explain: 1) first strike: no breakfast tacos. Let me repeat, they don’t serve breakfast tacos at this one. 2) second strike: they mess up orders — consistently. I drove away with the wrong scone once, they forgot to put cream in my iced Americano. I don’t like sloppy service when I’m paying a premium for coffee. I don’t see why it’s so hard to get the orders right. 3) third strike: On a recent cold and rainy day here in Austin, I ordered a hot chai latte — but asked for it «warm, not too hot» to which the barista replied«chai latte — warm.» I get my drink, pull away, take a nice swig and burn the skin off my tongue!!! I was furious. I called the manager and she proceeded to lecture me on how the chai comes out super-duper hot and how I could order my chai latte differently next time(it’s not a frequent drink option for me). No, how about you train your baristas to make drinks the way customers order them or let me know it’s scalding hot? So in sum, I won’t be back to this one. They never seem as busy as the other locations and for good reason — it’s because they suck.

What’s not to love about the Coffee Bean? I’m surprised at some of the reviews. I’ve loved the staff here, super friendly and the one time I had to wait a long time in the drive thru they just gave me my coffee for free. Nice, clean place to hang out at, huge outdoor seating area, and free wifi.

This place sucks. The employees can’t handle making oatmeal and yogurt for 5 people. One good employee out of 3. Also — if it rains the night before, it would be nice to dry off the chairs outside without yelling at your customers to do it themselves. Back to Starbucks.

I enjoy much better than Starbucks. Can’t wait to take advantage of the nice outdoor seating now that the weather is getting milder. Early opening time and easy connect internet.

I’ve seen some really negative reviews and to me it was a little surprising as today was my first experience at this coffee shop ever and it went really well. This particular location is in the Randall’s shopping center in Steiner Ranch. I entered in, was greeted nice, had time to check out the choices, given an option of what sizes, and they honor a $ 1 off PER drink for military(thanks, I love that)! I got to sample they Swedish Berries brewed tea twice and I ordered a hazelnut latte which was tastier than Starbucks! The store appearance was refreshing, clean, light and airy. There’s great outdoor comfy seating, the staff was very friendly and engaged in conversation. Much better experience than I have gotten at the many Starbucks I’ve been to. I say if you haven’t tried, try. If you tried and didn’t like, try again, maybe they’ve changed their ways for better! My only suggestion for their company: go GMO free, fair trade, offer organic options, stand out and make a difference!

This place is so much better than Starbucks for those of us that need the occasional off site office location. Love the coffee, love the atmosphere. 2 thumbs up.

To call this place Coffee bean is a joke. I am a SoCal girl and was looking forward to my vanilla latte with it’s oh so yummy powder. What did I get… Crabby lady took my order. 10 minutes later still no drink. So I ask«hey is my vanilla latte gonna be out soon?» Dude making drinks«uhhhh what vanilla latte… Yeah sure… I’ll make that.» He just seemed lost. No one was in the café but me an like 2 guys. Finally my drink was in my hand!!! It could have ended here but no no. My latte was not hot, it was… warm. It was bitter. It was lumpy. It was sad. I let dude know and asked if he could remake it. He just starred at me. I felt like I killed his kitten. It seemed pointless to try to go any further. I left with my crappy sad latte.(I tossed it outside) I won’t be going back. This place is dirtying the coffee bean name with bad service and bad drinks. Do yourself a favor and go to coffee bean when your in SoCal not north west austin. On the up side the patio is badass! I would drink water on it!

This is one of the newest Coffee Bean and Tea Leafs in Austin. The indoor seating leaves something to be desired, but the outdoor patio is pretty great. The staff is pretty great as well. The shopping center has gotten pretty busy – so outdoor noise is a little higher than I’d like, but it’s pretty darn good.

As much as I prefer an independent coffee shop, this isn’t nearly as bad as a Starbucks. The coffee is good here, not burnt and bitter. Had a tasty Americano, a delicious strawberry-orange scone, and a bite of the decadent rosemary-thyme-cream cheese croissant. They had many other breakfast & lunch food items, and all looked good. Almost as important as the coffee and food is the place to enjoy it. We sat out on a nice patio in big comfy chairs in the shade. Not bad for a corporate store. Service was quite good as well.

Like all CB&TL locations they have a great selection of Coffee and Teas plus some healthy snacks and light meals. Yesterday we made a coffee run and came back with 4 iced coffee drinks and a banana smoothie and a delicious healthy parfait packed with lots of berries, granola and yogurt. BTW an Iced Americano with crème tastes just as good as an Iced Latte at 1.00 less.
