I went here two days in a row last weekend and really liked this place. The big thing for me was they have gluten-free bread. It’s home-made gluten-free bread they’ll make sandwiches on and it’s really good!!! They have some gluten-free cookies(although mainly wheat ones), and they say whether the soups have it or not. I had a really great tomato soup, which I usually can’t have because of the wheat they usually have. I had a grilled sandwich which was decent. Next time I’d substitute the blue-cheese for something else on the sandwich. Good brand of coffee, but the latte I had was not very good(I’m really picky). Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone and come back again. Lose one star because food tasted decent but wasn’t 5 start food.

good place to have a cup away from the busy main strip. seems to be popular with the locals for soup and sandwich combo.

Wifi is much better than the communty one. As a result of this fact, I spent several hours there this afternoon. However, services and food quality are just okay. Staff members were not attentive nor knew their selections much. A great example: I was thinking to order a side salad. Cases and house were available options. I asked how these two differ, the staff had to ask her coworker what house salad contains.

tried the rib dip & fresh lemonade. not bad. the sandwich was grilled on regular bread & the meat was well done. the dip made it as it was full of flavor & elevated that simple sandwich. served with chips that are forgettable. the drink barely had any lemon flavor. unknown if I’ll be back as not overly impressed.

Jasmine Green Tea Boba is amazing must try if you’re ever on the island! The staffs are friendly and the atmosphere is nice! I love the crayons and papers on the table idea and all the art and photos on the walls made the place feel more homey.

Good coffee. Good ambience. The photographs on the wall, the crayons and paper on the table and the fun people around made it a pleasant visit.

My daughter and I went into Roosters a week ago. Ordered a double latte, hummus, and the black and blue sandwich. Typical BI disgruntled waitstaff that isn’t pleasant at all and seems to detest the fact that they have to work took quite awhile preparing our food. No biggie… they were a bit busy. My latte was fantastic and I got that fairly quickly thus earning Roosters two stars. My hummus had rotted cucumbers on it and my daughter’s sandwich was dry. Definitely two thumbs down. I would suggest that the Roosters owner send in folks they know to observe their rude waitstaff. There is too much competition on BI to allow that kind of behavior.

Used to buy coffee here a lot, came in one time when I didn’t need coffee, but my pregnant sister in law needed to use the restroom, got turned away. Now I don’t buy coffee here, plenty of places who have nicer policies you choose from.

Coffee drinks, awesome pastries, wi-fi — what more do you need in a café?

When you are in the island and need a decent cup, a decent Reuben and a decent place to meet folks– this is a decent place to go!

I love Roosters and have been coming here for years! It’s a great place for meetings-clean, great food, nice acoustics, friendly staff and owner, who even recognizes and says hi to me on the ferry! Roosters is a «home town», friendly place.

Stopped in to Roosters yesterday to get some caffeine before going on a hike with my buddy. Ordered a mocha and a London fog. The beverages were really good. I enjoyed the flavor of the tea they use there. I was unimpressed by the girl taking our order and making our drinks though. She was unfriendly and made me feel like we were wasting her time. Also, I felt like the drinks were a bit overpriced. Overall I liked it, but would probably try a different café next time I’m on the island.

I love this place! Atmosphere is welcoming, clean, yet comfortable. Their staff is super friendly. It’s a place«where everyone knows your name». I’ve run into R staff members in town and they were just as kind, so it’s not because«it’s their job». You can tell their dishes are made with care. I recently met a friend there for lunch and we split the california club sandwich which was plenty for two people(again, the staff was kind enough to tell us this). I love their turkey w/pesto panini too. There’s also outside seating available on a large(table umbrellas provided) patio that’s tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of town. Great if you want to read or work through lunch. You can even bring fido, so if you’re looking for place to have lunch or a cold drink and you have your dog with you… you can order inside and bring your food outside to the patio where fido can be with you at your table. The tables aren’t packed close together, so there’s plenty of room to accommodate everyone’s personal space. They even have a bowl of water available for fido. If you’re looking for the great place off from the beaten path… this is it! «Small Town Big Heart»

I came here a few days ago to escape Seattle for a few hours and get some work done in a coffee house. Roosters’ Café in Winslow is a nice option. Free Wi-Fi also is helpful if your going to be on-line. Since you are not fighting the crowds of people at Seattle establishments, the Wi-Fi here is pretty darn fast. Good assortment pastries and caffeinated options. Only bagged tea for tea folks albeit decent quality. Everything in Bainbridge closes really early and this place is no exception with lights out at 7pm. Check them out!

I come here a lot to get work done. There is a group who seem to come here everyday for the same reason. The service is always great, and the girls who work there are very friendly. They have a wide selection of pastries and food, with lots of gluten free choices. Not only do they have food and drink(including mimosas!) but they have two sources for super fast WIFI. My only complaint is that I wish it were open later for those of us who like to get some work done after dinner.

This has become one of my favorite island hangouts. Coffee is great, breakfast pastries are very good. When the blueberry muffin is warm, it’s the best pastry on the island(IMHO) Lunch is my main reason for going. Their soups are healthy and taste homemade and don’t pass up the grilled cheese with that soup! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere feels non-rushed and it is not nearly as loud as other coffee places nearby. Service is quick, prices are fair but seating is sometimes limited. The owner is often on-site and she is a delight(again, unlike other nearby places). And they serve wine & beer. Let’s summarize: coffee, grilled cheese, wine & smiles.

Took the ferry out from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. Had no idea what was going to be there. I asked a local resident where I should go to avoid the tourists and he recommended this place. This place actually served me the best coffee I have ever had. I ordered a medium Americano with room for COCONUT milk. My buddy asked for a coffee with room as well. Even though the Batista had pink hair, she is a rock star in my book. There were fresh croissants cooling outside the door. I’m so impressed with this little place. Local residents were scattered in there with their computers. We also ordered two coconut macaroons with lemon essence. They were delicious. If I have a chance I will go back with a bunch of classmates next weekend. I was not expecting this place to be so good. Watch out Starbucks !

I’d give 2.5 stars if I could — we’ve only had lattes and they weren’t great. Soap-sudsy foam. They’ve taken over the old Andante space and like their predecessor serve pastries, quiches, sandwiches and soups. They do sell beer and wine too. They’ve also added a couple of nice outdoor tables. I’ll go try their food and write an update. Hopefully, they’ll learn how to make better(creamier) coffee drinks.
