Los Tacos De Huicho

Best taqueria in the world, much less Bakersfield. Asada, pastor, chili verde, it’s all incredible and the salsa is literally life altering. The owners are super friendly too! My favorite place to eat in town that isn’t quite such a hidden gem anymore!

Honestly, I can not make one complaint about the food here!
I got the fish tacos, which already come dressed up with cabbage & sauce. I couldn’t stop eating them. I’m glad I only ordered two. I didn’t realize the portions were so big for the fish tacos. I also got two carne asada tacos. Loved the flavor of the meat.
There is a condiment table so you can put your own toppings on your tacos. Then you hand your food tray back to the cashier and they package it up To-​Go for you.
The side of rice & beans was huge. It fills up an entire plate.
If you’re looking for somewhere in the downtown area where you get a lot for your buck I’d stop here!

The cashier was so friendly and the service was prompt. I just happened to beat the lunch rush.

Hands down the best tacos in the 661! Don’t waste your time at other places. Oh yea did I mention they have chile verde, Barbacoa & fish tacos? I don’t know what else to say… I’ve lived all over the country & in the Heart of Los Angeles & these are consistently the best.

After being deprived of real authentic Mexican food in Madrid it was nice to return to some real tacos, the way they are supposed to be had. Los Tacos De Huicho is humble and exquisite.

Tacos al pastor, lengua, carne asada, buche, carnitas, barbacoa. If you don’t know these words in California. I suggest you work on them. I’ll translate the best I can (marinated pork, grilled beef, tripe, little meats, bbq). I’ve tried my best. I hope you try them all. LTDH, it’s for the adventurous.

The best taco restaurant I have found in Bakersfield. You don’t come to flatter or for the décor. It’s the food. Original recipes and well made, it never falls into the ultra greasy trap that many other taco shops drip into.
And No it isn’t! Incredibly expensive. Bring your wife, bring your kids and bring your husband! The aguas fresca (horchata, tamarindo, jamaica) are the cherry on top. 1 dollar refills they’re a steal!
I confess I have yet to try anything but the tacos, but the tacos alone keep me coming back!

Great tasting tacos with an amazing chile (not salsa)! Carne asana meat is well seasoned as well as the pastor. Always in the budget with quick service. Nothing but good things to say.
They also have a great catering service. 3 super bowl parties. Highly recommend.

Qué bueno, qué bueno, qué bueno! Un restaurante sin lujo pero hay mucho carácter. Hemos pedido los tacos, tortas, sopes, y por supuesto horchata. Asada y pastor, los mejores! Un taco con pescado es mi favorito. Todos deliciosos, y todos muy baratos. Te recomiendo visitar aquí cuando tienes antojo de comida callejera pero todavía quieres disfrutar un ambiente de un restaurante con las mesas y un patio. Sí, sí — qué bueno!
