The price was cheap, but make sure you have cash. The portions were big, but I didn’t find much taste in it. Almost like the food had been sitting out for awhile and the flavor had evaporated. Probably not going back with the other options in the area.

This place is good for the prices! Combo B comes with a drink and two items for a really good price. Plus they are not stingy when scooping up your serving. We come here all the time. Great device too, just make sure you bring cash to pay, they only accept cash.

Great value for the price! Portions are large and taste isn’t bad. Their combo B is a great buy! Food doesn’t seem process so that’s a bonus for me. Make sure you take cash as they don’t take cards

I came here because I wanted some Asian food and didn’t have much to spend. Looking at the reviews here on Unilocal.I decided to give this place a try… It’s your typical Chinese take out set up. Rice or Chow Mein or both? Then your choice of entrees. They had a decent selection of entrees. I opted for orange chicken and broccoli beef. My food was alright. Nothing particularly stood out to me… I wouldn’t really recommend the orange chicken. I like my orange chicken with some sauce on it… Theirs had no sauce? Weird. The egg rolls were good. One thing it was though… Was cheap. $ 4.59 for a 2item combo drink included. I’ll probably come back when I want Chinese food and am in a pinch. If I have money though. I’ll shell out the dough for something a bit better. Mandarin Express, 3 stars.

Their bbq pork is awesome. It’s sweet and has a lot of sauce. Their kung pao chicken is weird. It’s vaguely sour, not spicy, is filled with celery, and plain doesn’t taste right. Fried rice is bland but okay. Thing is, it’s REALLY cheap. $ 5 for two entres and one side? Plus a soda. Blows panda express’s $ 8+ out of the water.

I have no idea how I came across this place today but I wanted some rice to go so we stopped to check it out. It turned out to be way better than a lot of places in the NW for Asian food. Service was fine, nothing overly memorable however professional. Staff was happy to make recommendations. The prices were so good that I opted for a 1 item dish with rice only, not rice and chow mein that is offered. The rice was really good! Had some veg and egg in there. My other choice was the chicken and green beans. Really good!(I was told to grab some today as they do not make this dish all the time) The green beans still had that crunch factor that I look for and were not overcooked in the least. I grabbed a bottle of diet soda to add to my order and I was overcharged by 37 cents at the cash but I did not care. $ 6 for a meal and a drink that was not fountain-pop to me is a great deal and I did not feel like arguing the principal. I left happy, enjoyed my food twice(good portion) and I will return if I find myself in that area again.

STEERCOMPLETELYCLEAROFTHESHRIMP. I don’t care if you love shrimp or not, it’s not worth it. Everything is great other than that. Great portions for what you’re paying.

Omg I have never spent $ 6 in such a bad way! I threw away my food after one bite of trying each of my chicken, chow mein and fried rice. I will never go back to this place and I don’t recommend it to anyone. I’m sorry for the harsh review but the food was not good and not worth month the money at all.

Our go to chinesse place is closed on sundays, and this was nearby so we decided to give it a chance. The interior is relatively small, and a little dingy. But I never judge a place by it’s looks, all I care about is the food. We were able to get fresh noodles, and orange chicken right as we were ordering. The portions are huge and the prices are crazy cheap we got 2 combo Bs which come with 2 items, rice/noodles, and a drink for a little over 4 $ each.(which is something I love in a good food spot quantity, quality, price) now for the taste; I actually liked my noodles, as for my orange chicken /garlic chicken. there was no coating on either of them, so they were not crsipy at all, it was just chicken in some sauce. It was also pretty dry. I could not differentiate between which one was the orange chicken vs the garlic chicken.(Color, taste, texture were almost identical) My wife had broccoli beef and orange chicken. The broccoli beef was soft but also lacked flavor. Customer service was pleasent. All in all, it was just ok food(keep in mind it was fresh), so I will just stick to my go to place, and when the craving kicks in on a sunday, just suck it up and wait!

Skip it. How you manage to make all the dishes taste the same I don’t know. The chow mein is greasy and the rice is dry. The signs are dingy and disgusting. Get a printer and print out your 500 little notes on the sneeze glass. Have a little pride in your establishment and class up the place. This of course is secondary to the full menu overhaul. Proportion of protein to vegetable is way off. Everything is either bland or just plain salty. The staff had a difficult time finding a piece to skewer with the toothpick for a sample. The worst part was the cockroach in the dining hall which scurried straight to the kitchen. I can’t imagine what was waiting for it back there. You only hope it wasn’t a frying pan.

Excellent food at a very good price. Quantities are also very good for what you pay. Cash only is potential down side for some people. The restaurant is very cheap looking but if you are getting takeout the appearance of the store doesnt matter.

If you get the 3 item combo make sure you save adding your favorite dish for last. They will put it in a separate container and you get more! You’re welcome :)

I come here often because they have great specials and they’re generous with their portions, however, you get what you pay for — the food is OK.

Super cheap food, lots of choices, style like panda express. When you are in a hurry this place a good one, they put a lot of food into the combo box. Cash Only. Saturday lunch can get very busy.

This place is cash only! I came here after I saw a co-worker eating take out from this place at our office. First of all, they have chicken on a stick and it is probably what I will order every time I go there because it is that delicious! I also love their flavorful chow mein! Another thing that really sells this place for me is how friendly the staff is! I don’t just mean they were polite. I found them to be downright pleasant to talk to! Also the two item combo I ordered came with a drink and was less than $ 5 total. I will definitely be returning here.

Food was really good and the price was amazingly cheap. They give you huge portions and on our visit were so friendly. The service was fast and the food was fresh not like it had been sitting there for a long time. It’s not china town but it is good. Fills you up and I couldn’t eat all the food they gave me. Enough for two meals. We got four meals plus egg rolls and it was under twenty dollars. Can’t beat that. I was shocked it wasn’t more. Overall I would say this is a great place to eat if your in the area. I had the. Barbecue pork and the cashew chicken and both were great. My husband had broccoli beef and orange chicken and both were good also. Daughter had teriaki chicken which she enjoyed and we all enjoyed the chow mein and rice. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is we were not crazy about the egg rolls. Not crunchy enough. And small. But one not so good thing doesn’t change a great place to go and eat. We will definitely be going back when in the area.

YUM! Me and my grandma love going here. They have the best combo deals that include a drink. 3 item combo for $ 6.00 and they LOAD you up. The chow main here is really good. The BBQ pork is my fav! Perfect gem in the upper east side! This place is cash only.

Bland is the best word for this place. On my search for the best Chinese food in Bakersfield, I stumbled upon this place while going to the UPS store. I wanted to give it a try. Who knows? It could have been a diamond in the rough. I was wrong. Walked in and it did not look very pleasant or clean. Still that didn’t deter me. I always have to try the fried rice and chow mein everywhere. They sucked. Both were bland and the noodles were too soft. Everything there needed salt. I had the mushroom chicken as well and that sucked too. No wonder they give you soy sauce.
