Fantastic shrimp and lobster scampi. The shrimp were huge, tender and not overcooked; the lobster was sweet, succulent and cooked perfectly. Together they were presented in a butter sauce with capers that I couldn’t get enough of. There aren’t many restaurants in St. Louis that serve food this delicious.

Best restaurant in STL hands down… and I’ve seen most of what STL has to offer due to my job requiring taking clientele out regularly. For the price, the personal service you get, quality and taste of food, and the ambiance, you can’t top Napoli 2 for best bang for your buck. Hands down. For the best seat in the house, see the best bartender in town, Ray, and have entertainment with your meal. Couple that with a regular visit by the owner and chef always coming by and checking on you and going the extra mile for the best service I’ve experienced in STL. Highly recommend the stacked salad, any of the hand made pastas, and the bone in filet with lemon Gorgonzola. OR, the chef is always open to a custom made tasting menu upon request. Imagine iron chef style with 1 ingredient for all 5 courses. One word. Amazing.

I went there with girl friends and had the most amazing waiter. All 3 of us couldn’t decide between 2 different dishes and asked him to surprise us with whatever he thought was best. He came out with half portions of each dish for us. Totally made my day. The food was amazing too! The crème brûlée was to die for.

If we had not been with good company, we would have had a horrible experience. We were seated almost immediately but we were not acknowledged for at least 15 minutes. Once we were addressed, I asked about the wine by the glass bc I am the only one who drinks Cabernet. I asked if that particular wine was good. Our server told me it was a Napa cab so it was fruity. For those of you who know Cabernet, fruity is not the goal. The only Cabernet on the wine by the glass list is from Paso Rablos which is no where near Napa Valley. After ordering, my friend chose a Zwickel by Urban Chestnut. When it arrived, the server proceeded to dump it all over the table and made a huge mess. No apologies were made despite having 1⁄3 of the beer dumped on the table. My friend’s steak arrived charred. It was returns to the kitchen without an apology. Later in the evening, the server blamed the steak’s appearance on the lighting despite my friend tasting a charred steak. It should be noted that my friend has never sent a steak back to the kitchen. Once we received the bill no apologies were made for the charred steak or spilt beer. I would like to note that my gnocchi was tasty.

Came back to this place after a a year or so and it is phenomenal! It’s one of those meals where everything is good. From the appetizers to the deserts it’s exquisitely prepared and tastes great!

Food was amazing, drinks were really good, service was solid. I would have given it 5 out of 5 stars, but the price for the meal was not totally in line with the experience. I was aware of the prices when I ordered, but I wasn’t going to change my order to fit into a price point — I wanted to enjoy the food, which I did, it was great. However, my wife and I spent $ 146(including tip) on two entrees, two sides, and two drinks — no appetizer, no dessert. Just be prepared to spend more than you might think.

The wife decided this was a place we needed to try one night when the kids were elsewhere. That night rolled around on a Friday with us hosting a block party on that Saturday such that we were looking for a late dinner after finishing all of the requisite shopping. Their patio was quite inviting so we decided to dine al fresco and slow ourselves down for an hour or two — exactly what we needed at that point in time. We had a fair number of questions for our waitress and she was quite patient with us. At one point, it looked like it was going to start raining so she hurried inside to claim a table in our name should we need to move. Ultimately, we stayed put but I was very impressed with the level of service we received. It turns out that they will go ½ & ½ on most of their menu if the kitchen is slow. We lucked out because we were each able to get both items we had been trying to decide between in smaller portions. Quick observation — next time we will add a salad and/or app and just split both ½ entrée portions instead of filling the table with ½ portions of food. My two were their seafood combination pasta and shrimp scampi. The seafood pasta was pretty good but the scampi stole the show and was my favorite bite of the meal. In reality, they were my favorite 12 bites of the meal as each of the 3 shrimp they served me were huge. Their recipe uses olive oil exclusively(no butter) and a nice amount of garlic without it being overpowering. They throw them on a charcoal grill which adds a really nice bit of flavor as well. Certainly a great meal and an excellent way to relax with the wife before all of the work associated with throwing a party for 30 the next day.

Fantastic experience. Greeting was warm and wonderful. Place is clean and sleek. Nice décor. Outside patio is a delight. Service is attentive, professional and courteous. The owner is friendly, present and interested in providing for an enjoyable evening. Plenty of warm bread. Lovely salads. Amazing fresh pastas. The steak and veal… awesome! Seafood is sumptuous. Desserts delightful. Love this westco gem!

I met a girlfriend Tuesday for dinner. The tables are very close, so I listened to two couples talking about dental implants, with massive details, before my dining partner arrived. I could have puked. Not a good way to start a special dinner. After listening to all that, gol dang, I needed a cocktail. I got a dirty gin and tonic with olives. It was not nearly as dirty as I would have liked. Tom was our stupendous server. I ordered arancini for us to share. The order is three balls, but Tom said they can sell by the ball. So I said, just give us each one ball. These weren’t so good, and they were sitting in the sauce, so the bottom would get soggy. I’ve had arancini one other time — at Pan d’Olive — and they were made with potato, not rice, with steak and gorgonzola. With dipping sauce on the side. These were made with rice and some gooey cheese that messed it all up. Plus the bottom of each ball was getting soggy in the sauce. The sauce needs to be served separately for dipping. It should be your option. My dining partner got a stack salad, which was gorgeous. And she shared. Dang, that thing was good. Layered tomato, flash-fried eggplant, buffalo mozzarella topped with roasted bell peppers, basil and balsamic reduction. Holy cow! It was amazing! Entrees: She was excited that they make their own pasta and got the tagliatelle bolognese($ 19) — meat sauce with parmesan reggiano. I got veal piccata($ 23), which was fabulous with capers and a lovely, creamy sauce. What a stupendous dinner, great dining partner, fabulous service from Tom. I just wish their tables were farther apart. I have no need to hear somebody else’s dinner conversation. Good Frank Sinatra music. We both took home another meal with our leftovers.

Met a fellow Unilocaler here for dinner on Tuesday, her suggestion but neither of us had been here before. Ended up being a great choice! She had the arancini and was kind enough to let me try one. I am not a fan of dairy, and it was a ball of cheese and rice on a cream sauce so not my thing. I can understand why people like them though. I had the stacked salad and it was delicious! It was a nice blend of flavor and textures, presented beautifully. I considered posting a picture but I’m not a good photographer and there is already a picture of it. Highly recommend this salad! For dinner, I had the tagliatelle bolognese and it did not disappoint. They make their pasta in house so it has that fresh egginess with the slightly chewy consistency that I love. The sauce was a lovely and not-too-heavy meat sauce that hugged the noodles nicely. I ate my fill and took enough home for another meal. I was too full for dessert, and all of their desserts were dairy based so nothing demanded to be eaten. To top it all off, our server Tom was fantastic and they were playing some really nice Frank Sinatra music. I just couldn’t go five stars because of the dining room set up. The tables are awkwardly placed and so close together that my dining companion was treated to a graphic description of dental implants before I arrived.

One of my favorite west county restaurants. A great place for special occasions. Wish I could come here for more frequent occasions. Josette is a great server and guide to meet your palette desires. Good drinks and wines. My fifth visit. I’ll be back!

Three stars only because two and a half stars aren’t an option. Last time my husband and I went here, it was just okay. But I wanted to see if a return visit would be better. I didn’t like our table at all. Right near the entrance, and imo, a table shouldn’t even be there. It felt like we were at the card table at the relatives’ house. I don’t rate a restaurant based only on their service, but our server was practically MIA. I had the Chicken Marsala and for the price, I should have loved it. I didn’t. This is a wonderful location. In a beautiful new shopping area. The interior designer did a beautiful job. I love Café Napoli in Clayton! I’ll stick with Napoli in Clayton.

This is my all time favorite Italian restaurant in Town and Country. The ambiance is romantic and unique. Perfect for a date night or «just because». I recommend the Eggplant Parm. It’s unbelievable. The portions are large, so be prepared to take some home… If you can stop yourself from gorging! :)

Way overpriced for the disgusting cold food you will get. Veal was slimy and cold and not even breaded. The side of pasta was a joke rigatoni noodles should not be served as alfredo pasta. Bread pudding was dry and overdone. The best part of the meal was the bread and stack salad. This was the worst meal I have ever had. Truly disappointed stay away from this dump.

We had a great dining experience here. I loved the presentation of the meat and fish options. They brought out the actual uncooked cuts of meat, fish and scallops out on a large plate in cellophane wrap so you could actually see what you were getting. The ribeye was probably one of the best I’ve had. It was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. I’m disappointed I went with the pasta option over the scallops. The pasta was good, but not as much as the other dishes we ordered. The wine list was great, service was attentive and atmosphere was nice. If anything, the tables were a bit close together to hear others conversations, but overall it was nice for the amount of space the restaurant has. Overall it was a great meal; pricey… but you get what you pay for. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy their patio space.

What can I say except, WOW! Last nights dinner was incredible. I had the swordfish and it was so good. The flavor was more than I expected and it kind of just melted in your mouth. My date had the sea bass and she said hers was the same. Our mistake at this meal was ordering 2 appetizers. The eggplant and the arancini were enough to share for 4 people, not 2. We got too full on appetizers. But this restaurant was top notch. Our server was knowledgable, laid back, and sociable. He did a great job and I gave him a little more than 20% tip. I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice ambience and quiet meal. We didn’t stay in the bar area long, but that whole section looked very cool, you could see tv/NCAA gms, and the bartender made a great dirty martini while we waited for our reservation. I say go to this place and splurge a little… it’s worth it.

Had dinner there last night. Food was really good and the service is top notch. It was a little pricey but a nice splurge. The dining area we were in is very tight space wise and the tables are really small. The tables are so close together that you can here everyone’s conversation around you. Don’t go their if your looking for a private or quiet dinner. Overall it was a good choice.

Great service. Food was overpriced and overrated. I had the chilean sea bass that was on special that came with asparagus risotto. When the waiter explained it had some balsamic on it, I did not think they would cover the ENTIREPLATE in balsamic! Who does that??? The fish and the risotto would have been GREAT if I could eat it without a mouthful of balsamic with every bite! It did not occur to me to say«Please go light on the balsamic» bc I figured that was just understood. Hubby had the veal chop, which the waiter said the chef recommended cooked medium — he agreed. It was NOT medium. It was def medium-rare, bordering rare. He also said there was quite a bit of fat on it, so there wasn’t much meat for him to enjoy. The side of potatoes that came with it looked like they had been cooked the day before and didn’t taste much better. Sadly the highlight of our meal was the house salad — delicious! They even split the salad for us so we could share. Sorry Napoli 2, if I’m going to spend $ 150(2 glasses of wine, 1 salad, 2 entrees) for 2 ppl, I’m going to hit up a restaurant that does things better.
