I think this is one of the better Pasta House locations in the region. The service is always excellent and I’ve never had to wait for a table or had any problems with my order. This latest visit was a Sunday dinner. We were offered plenty of fresh rolls and our meals arrived promptly with everything as requested. If you want the very best pasta, go to The Hill. If you want consistent, solid Italian at reasonable prices consider a Pasta House location. Especially this one.

Pretty good pizza(we went with pepperoni & sausage and hamburger & bacon). So-so salad. The rolls are rock hard. Normally, leftover pizza is dynamite, but Pasta House leftover pizza is a little soggy.

Its a pasta place that doesn’t stand out from the crowd. In a city with great mom and pop pasta joints, this place produces inconsistent and mediocre pasta. Unless you are looking to get the item of the day, pricing isn’t great as well. Our server seemed to forget just about everything. All that being said, if you cant make it to one of aforementioned mom and pop joints, there certainly is a pasta house near you. Multiple locations throughout the area allow this local chain to be close by for those with urgent, all be it, less discriminating pasta cravings.

I went there with my family to celebrate our anniversary last month. The feel and ambience is good, there were lots of families which was the plus point, but their food was not what i have expected. We ordered baked eggplant with cheese, kids pizza, veg pasta some drinks salad and soup. The salad, soup and kids cheese pizza was good. But my daughter who is a big fan of pasta was so disappointed. She didn’t eat anything only soda which made me feel horrible. But she was happy to play with family. Also the server was attending the american table only.

I was here for my mom’s birthday dinner last week. The salad and chicken parmasan were good. The service could have been a little better but it was not bad. The portions were large especially the Wednesday special my mom ordered and the 12″ pizza my sister ordered.

I’m writing this review primarily to give props to the server named Olga. Olga’s manager, you must give that woman a raise! She earned it on Jan 3. Visiting family was in town for one more night and my MIL chose PH for the last dinner before their flight out. My FIL has dementia so my husband alerted the hostess so that the server would be aware. Olga was assigned to us, and it was clear she knew something about dementia and its typical symptoms. She was the kindest, most patient person with my FIL and not the least bit condescending or visibly bothered by his individual needs. We are always pleased with our meals at this location(much more than the one in Ellisville) and this particular evening was no different with our assortment of PH salads, pasta, eggplant, chicken Parmesan, shrimp fettuccini, and pork chops. Olga made all the difference in our experience, however. We couldn’t have asked for a better dinner event with our FIL on their last night in town.

On a whim Mrs. K and I came to The Pasta House. Our server was really amazing. Mrs. K. wanted no onions on the salad and of course I wanted onions. So Mrs. K. came with no onions and I asked for and received extra onions. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and Mrs. K. ordered their Chicken Flamingo. My food was just perfect and Mrs. K. was too. She asked for almost a custom dish no mushrooms, no broccoli, light sauce. It came just she wanted it. The reason for the update is to acknowledge how The Pasta House has become very accommodating in their service and food presentation.

As my first review, I wish I better things to say. Overall, quite sad with my experience. My appetizer was sub-par, equateable to a frozen dinner. I had Chicken Flamingo for dinner, the sauce was very liquidy and a harsh combination of lemon and salt. The side of pasta was, surprisingly, shells and the marinara I was expecting was a very sweet, very odd, meat sauce; not a good combination with the salty lemon of the other sauce on the plate. The drink special was actually pretty good($ 4.50 for a glass of house wine), and the service wasnt bad either, besides my waiter ignored my vacant salad plate even with numerous(count 8) trips to the table. I dont think I’ll be going back.

This is one of my daughters favorite places to go for bread. So it was her choice when we asked where we should go to dinner. It wasn’t too crowded but the service was a tad on the slow side. When we sat we saw tables that came in after us get waited on before us. The waitress was pleasant enough but apparently she said she had a lot of tables all over the restaurant. All of the food was OK. Again, this is a ‘good’ place, not a destination place. We come here with larger family groups who all are craving Italian and we don’t want to spend an arm and a leg.

$ 5, for 2⁄3 a salad… I usually go to the Pasta House Pronto location in Brentwood during my lunch hour. They used to charge $ 3.49 for a salad, then it went up to $ 3.99. Kinda stinks, but hey I get it. Imagine my surprise when I order carryout at this location and it’s now $ 5 for a small salad! I am sorry but food costs are not rising that fast. Best part, I get home to 2⁄3 of a container full of salad. But hey, it was good, so 2 stars.

Just horrible food that left me wishing we never tried the place. The grilled chicken was not grilled at best it was boiled but was rubbery like it was microwaved. They just put it on the grill for a few seconds to give very light lines. You could see where one piece of chicken over lapped the other leaving one of the chicken chunks with no grill marks on half the breast. There was no seasoning on the chicken other then pepper. The pepper was so thick to the point it over powered the taste of the chicken. I wish I had taken photos or just sent it back before I tasted it. The waiters did nothing when we returned two full plates of food. This tells me the staff knows it is sub par food and have given up. Not even a manager bothered to stop by our table they just gave us our bill. The food is poor and the price was high. My wife and I had to stop for food on the way home.

I worked at Pasta House /Rich & Charlie’s when I was a teenager, and I still visit this chain restaurant often. I think they are most famous for their salad — try using the bread to make a salad sandwich — it is delicious. Price is reasonable and service is usually good.

Every St. Louisan knows Pasta House, a good old St. Louis establishment. Out of towners should know that this isn’t the best the city has to offer. That being said Pasta House is good predictable and affordable Italian food. This location used to be a Mexican restaurant and the décor really hasn’t changed that much. There is ample parking. My family does a lot of carry out so our kids to tear up the restaurant. I do like their fresh tossed salad. May favorites include: Eggplant Parmesan Linguine with white clams Pasta con Broccoli Chicken Marsala

The food was mediocre at best. Even the kids mac and cheese tasted like paste. For three adults and two kids, with tip, it was $ 92. That was after they removed the mac and cheese from the bill. We had three waters, two soft drinks, no appetizers. Definitely not worth the price. I have always loved Pasta House but we will not be back. They have gone too far down hill.

Pasta House, Pasta House, Pasta House. You’re just not that good, you know? I met a friend at this location a couple weeks back. She lives out of town and PH is always on her list of places to eat when she comes to St Louis. The salad, when done right, is pretty tasty. But it’s usually not done right. The salad this night was fine, nothing spectacular. I love mac n cheese and when I saw they had a new menu item(mac n cheese) I was pretty excited. I ordered it and it was… well, not that good. Not bad but not that good. And semi-expensive mac n cheese should be delicious. So, pretty unimpressed. But I am sure I will be back 6 months from now when my friend comes back in town. Not really looking forward to it either.

I’m glad this building became a Pasta House. I love Pasta House. With the spacious area for dining, it doesn’t feel as cramped as the location in Ellisville. They try to be quick in getting you to a seat even on a Friday night when it’s busy, and the waiters are very friendly and constantly check up on you. However, for it being on a busy Friday night, they only had one bartender working when I was there, making drinks for the entire place. That means those who order at their table get their drinks faster than if you sit and stare at the bartender while you’re waiting at a bar seat. I usually am a patient person but it really bugged me how many times someone went behind the counter just to tell the poor guy he was out of Bud Lite Lime rather than figuring out he was lagging behind. By the time I got my table, I had gotten my drinks but hadn’t paid. Finally, he came over after making five mixed drinks in about 10 minutes and it took forever for him to get some change for cash. I finally said, «just give me 5 bucks,» and he didn’t understand as he was still hunting through his change. That was the longest time I sat a bar in my life, especially to just get a beer on tap and a glass of wine…

I found this location to be one of the most pleasing Pasta House experiences I’ve had. Usually we goto the location near Manchester and Clarkson Road. The noise level was definitely nice and it’s more spacious than your typical Pasta House. The rolls and soup are good as always!

this is my 2nd visit to this location. i am really glad to see the suffering mexican restaurant that was here… OUT! they had the worst food in the world. i had the generous portion of calamari and the tuti mare was absolutely delicious. go during 4 –6 for happy hour and great wine specials.

I can’t comment on the food as we waked out after they refused to honor their own coupon, making up a rule that was nowhere on the coupon. I live about a half mile from this location and won’t go back. Not a smart way to run a business.
