I have trusted Brass Works with several of my antiques — a lamp and a water vessel, one brass, and one copper. I also had them redo some antique brass gauges. They did a fantastic job on everything. I am now having them do three more lamps.

I stopped in this afternoon to look for light fixtures for our home. We are in the midst of remodeling and I am looking for STYLE… something that has character and a story. As I walked through Fells Point, I passed by a store with a perfect light fixture — sort of a bulbous, nautical piece made completely of brass. The owner, Cray, immediately greeted me and started showing me around the small shop. As he spoke, I could see just how knowledgeable he was about his products and how proud he was of their quality. That’s important for someone like me who is about to shell out her hard-earned money on something she can’t wear! Cray explained that the shop had been around for 36 years and that I shouldn’t let the small size of the store fool me. He had plenty more brass works in the back and what he didn’t have, he could order whether it was a light fixture, door knocker, or a set of brass numbers for the outside address on our house. It was all a bit overwhelming with all the options, so Cray handed me a catalog and his card and invited me to return after I had read through the options. He was patient and not looking to make a hard sale, which I appreciated. I will definitely come back when I’m ready to make a purchase. The pieces are pricey, but worth it for the quality and the caliber of the business.
