As far as we could tell, Maggie Moo’s on Quarry Lake in Pikesville, MD is gone. The store is no longer there and the telephone number is no longer in service.

Horrible management and production. I ordered a custom cake, and on the day of pick-up the cake was all wrong. No restitution was offered from the owner, and no restitution was even possible for my party. This is no way to run a business, and they don’t deserve yours. There are plenty of other good ice cream shops that are properly managed, and know how to execute orders.

Not happy about this place at all! (1) You can feel the fat in your mouth as you eat the ice cream. Gross. (2) they advertise for flavors that they don’t carry. (3) and most importantly, this place has the most numerous and ridiculous rules I’ve ever heard on ice cream! Don’t plan on indulging in a small guilty pleasure while trying to watch your weight. It’s impossible there. You cannot get a kid size cup unless you’re under six. You are OBLIGED(yes, you read correctly and I will repeat: OBLIGED!) to order at LEAST two scoops of ice cream. And in case you’d like to share your two scoops with someone without sharing your cup, You CANNOT have these two scoops in two different cups either because this becomes two separate orders and therefore… two mandatory scoops per order(i.e., per cup) again! So basically, either way, you contribute to the waste or waist, depending if you decide to throw away the surplus or take the surplus in your body. Kudos to this place for contributing to obesity! I do NOT salute you. And, finally, why would anyone put so many rules on ice cream? I cannot help but wonder if that could be a business strategy since stress induces hunger in most people… Whatever the reason, JUSTSTAYAWAY. We went there because we thought it could be good but we had such a bad experience that next time, we will go to Cold Stone on Reisterstown Rd(Owings Mills) or, even better, the Taharka Brothers Ice Cream/Uncle Wiggly’s on Forge Ave(close to Whole Foods in Mount Washington). Their ice creams are far superior, the service fantastic and friendly and I don’t have to figure out a thousand rules before I can place my order.

If you’ve been to one Maggie Moo’s, you’ve been to them all. I enjoy the ice cream here over Cold Stone. The Strawberry Skydive rocks my face off.

Churro with graham cracker or PB with Reese’s. I’m an addict. Nice staff, though the ice cream always looks like its melting behind the glass.

Meh. Like Cold Stone, but not as good, and the service is far slower(and not as friendly). At least they don’t sing. This Maggie Moo’s in particular has a particularly ridiculous set-up with people entering in from opposite sides of the store(I was going to say from the front and from the back, but I have no idea which is which). This caused some line confusion. The oreo ice cream sandwich things were pretty good but pretty pricey($ 14.95 for 6… which I only bought because I can’t see and thought they cost $ 4.95… I was clearly not thinking straight…) Overall… similar prices, similar flavors to Cold Stone. Nothing spectacular.
