Had a delicious tiny cup of chowder, salad, grapefruit beer & fish taco! Everything was good & tasted fresh. If there was anything I’d change it’d be serving the salad in a bigger bowl so it’s easier to keep from making a mess while eating. Can tell they really care about what they’re serving & have great unexpected beverage options!

Charming little lunch spot! Their fish tacos were amazing, as well as the New England clam chowder! The Manhattan clam chowder was delicious as well. The owners were very friendly and personable, and they can also accommodate for those who are gluten free. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bandon!

Sea Star Bistro has exceptional food! I got the fish sandwich and it truly was the best sandwich I have ever had. The home made bread, seasoning on the mild white fish was beyond yummy. My husband got a bagel sandwich… garlic, cream cheese, egg, bacon etc… I’m writing this review a week later because we both are still talking about this meal! The owners were there with exceptional service and creative chef(ing), so nice. We sat on the patio area loving the flowers and beauty surrounding us. Can’t wait until our next stay at Bandon to enjoy the town and to eat here!

A great spot on the way down the gorgeous Oregon coast. This place has great NE clam chowder(I’m sure the Manhattan is just as good) done the Oregon way with all that organic delicious freshness. The sandwiches were large tasty and again that delicious fresh ingredient taste from the soft tasty bread to the juicy tomato slices. Stop in and eat and say hello to Dagan and Lori and enjoy some great food done right by good people.

This is such a unique place. You really don’t find any places that have homemade bread, clam chowder, and even their delicious sauces. I came here with my family for my grandmas 71st birthday and it was a peaceful lunch that allowed us all to catch up and visit. The owners even came out and greeted us. They were so friendly! Love this place and will definitely return next time we are in town. I ordered the Pacific BLT with bbq chips and a bowl of clam chowder. YUM!

Awesome spot to grab lunch. Tucked on the side of the building, this tiny spot not ideal for a crowd. On a nice day. there’s an option to sit outside. We ordered to go. Sandwiches are huge and delicious. House made dill ranch was awesome on the side salad. This place is worth the price(which is reasonable to begin with).

Visiting Bandon and wanted a healthier lunch option. Great sandwich menu with very different takes on several classics. Both of the clam choruses were good with a lighter base. A must try, they will give you a taster to help you choose. Portions are generous. I loved the Philly sandwich and the poppy seed salad dressing.

Stopped in here for lunch one day. Place is cute, staff is friendly, food is yummy! They are very small inside and the weather was not nice enough to sit outside, but the waitress let us know we could order it to go and suggested a few places that we could take it to eat. Everything tasted fresh and my sandwich was huge! The cook brought out our food and made sure we had napkins and utensils, you could tell he wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.

I was not impressed with the food. I only ordered the Manhattan Chowder but it was over seasoned. Not sure what herb or spice(maybe bay leaf since I pulled out 3 of them) but it overpowered all of the other flavors. Very disappointing.

Looking for a place for lunch snd decided to try the Bistro since we were able to park right there. Only 7 tables! We had their awesome chowder, which was a nice surprise that it was very flavorful snd not that thick white stuff we’ve had on this trip thru Oregon. Cheese bread came with the chowder. Then we had the BLT with shrimp on this most amazing roll. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Good thing we split the sandwich-it was huge. Also enjoyed their Sesame Ginger salad dressing. If we lived here we’d be regulars.

Lovely people running the bistro, huge portions, and best of all, tasty food. I’ll add some pictures, but for $ 11, we got a huge turkey sandwich that was superb, and it came with a salad.

Awesome clam chowder, great hummus plate and the seasonal fruit bowl was just what the kids needed! The service was outstanding even on a super busy 4th of July weekend!

The Sea Star Bistro was an unexpected treat, in the middle of a beautiful day exploring historic downtown Brandon. Tucked away in a lovely perennial flower garden, this small bistro is worth searching out if you are seeking a fresh and healthy lunch option. I ordered the Farmhouse Bagel Sandwich featuring egg, cheese, spinach, onion, and fresh tomato. It was served with seasonal fruit,(strawberries, blueberries, nectarines, and melons) and I ordered a small garden salad with ginger sesame dressing. There is obvious care taken in selection of ingredients, preparation, and presentation. Everything was delightful and I will be returning soon!

Really enjoyed the food, but it did take awhile. It was nice on the patio with our dog. My husband had the chowder and really enjoyed, and love the shrimp stuffed poppers, I have the chicken tacos, okay but not great. Not a lot of flavor.

Local review– I eat here frequently and have never had a bad experience. The owners and employees are friendly, helpful, and willing to make substitutions. My favorites from the menu are: –The Farm House with an over easy egg –Fried Egg Melt –Shrimp Stuffed Poppers –The Chevalier I have yet to try all of their sandwiches but look forward to it. Extra kudos for having both New England and Manhattan style clam chowder.

Love this cute little place! They have the best sandwiches! Everything is so fresh and yummy! The all vegi sandwich is my favorite! And their bread is made in house! Yum! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to sit outside and eat or call ahead and take home. My only wish is they were open longer!
