We felt like something a little different from fried fish and chips and we found a gem. We got there when they opened and were the only ones there for a little while. After eating our meals we were wondering why they were not lined up outside. I had the Carbonara and my husbands weakness is spaghetti and meatballs, we shared a creamed spinach. Everything including the dips they give you when you sit down was fantastic. The creamed spinach was unbelievable… so green, so fresh, perfectly seasoned. The meatballs were homemade and wonderful and the sauce wow. The carbonara with crispy pancetta excellent. If not for the fact they were closed on Monday, we would have gone there again. This little restaurant is a diamond in my opinion. Thanks for a great dinner Angelo.

Excellent food. Angelo learned to cook in Italy by watching his grandma, mom and aunts. I had the eggplant Parmesan and my hubby had the pasta carbonara. We split a tiramisu and it was the best! The view was the only negative. Our table looked out onto an alley with an ugly building next door.

Pros: — Atmosphere Cons: — Staff — Poor value — Food Angelo’s is located in a small, detached building in Old Town Bandon. Parking and seating were not a problem when I visited for an early dinner over Memorial Day weekend. The restaurant is tight inside but also welcoming with plenty of pictures on the walls and an introduction from the owner printed on the front of the drinks menu. There was a man playing guitar in the dining room which I found enjoyable. Although not rude the woman that seated my party and waited on our table was not at all friendly or outgoing. Bread with dips and olives was immediately offered along with a pitcher of water. Cans of soda are $ 3 each. Meals do not come with salads so those were another $ 7+ a piece but they were fresh and tasty. I ordered a pizza for an appetizer and it arrived quickly which was nice. The pizza was OK but not too flavorful, almost bland. The chicken Parmesan came with a side of pasta that was cooked perfectly although the red sauce on top was not flavorful enough. The chicken was very thin and pan fried in what I assume was butter because it had an overpowering butter taste that I did not like. Other than that butter taste it was, once again, lacking in spices. After receiving our meals the dining room filled with smoke from the kitchen which required several windows to be opened although that did little to fix the problem. Total price for three people with only one glass of alcohol consumed was over $ 100. I would not return to Angelo’s.

Appetizer of olives, rustic bread, pesto, marina, balsamic & olive oil, followed by main dish of 5 handmade lobster ravioli with a 4 cheese sauce. Perfectly cooked and delicious, service was good. I thought the portion perfect. My husband, however, was still hungry when we left, so if you have a man size appetite, order accordingly.

It was date night last night and we couldn’t of had a better experience. We felt like we were back in Europe! The atmosphere, food, and live music was fantastic! The menu is a la crate so you get exactly what you want with no surprises. We definitely will be going back!

How sad :/loved this place in 2014 but in 2016 not so much. Our server was flat, so flat. He had no enthusiasm, pep and was nice enough but there was just no warmth. The whole encounter with him was just awkward. I loved my food but for $ 16.00 for a vegetarian pasta, was a little surprised that there wasn’t a soup or salad with it. Place was lackluster… White sauce on a white plate. Not even parsley lol. We did get a nice plate of bread with dipping sauces. It just felt like the whole place was missing something. It’s felt really disjointed to us. Weird décor, kind of sparse. We decided we probably won’t go back. Sad because the food was pretty good.

Ok, so the service is not the best here. It’s kind of random and all over the place BUT this place does have the best Italian food on the Oregon coast. I vowed never to come here after the bad service I encountered but i succumbed and I ordered a pizza TOGO here yesterday. Admittedly I miss dining here and miss the homey feel. Angelo(the owner) is very nice and I feel good giving him my business. MAKE A RESERVATIONIFYOU’REDININGIN during dinner time on a weekend. Just call in ahead of time. This restaurant is small and cozy. There aren’t many tables but it’s worth the price and distance. Trust me.

Wow. The love that goes into this place spills over onto all the guest that come in. The food is delicious and served cooked and served by family. Angelo is an Italian who only moved to this country a few years ago and brought a chunk of it with him. With his amazing huge family who works and plays music on the weekends. Don’t miss a good meal here. Even if you are just passing through which we were.

Service was a tad slow to begin with, they didn’t have anyone at the host table to greet. But once you’ve been seated, you’re given a selection of sauces and bread and some olives to munch on. The food is spot on. Amazingly authentic Italian food. They had a live violin and guitar duo that made the atmosphere a lot more fun. It’s a small place so make sure to call in a reservation. The lasagna was the best I’ve tasted in my life. The owner, Angelo is very friendly!

Great personal service. Love the antipasti platter that comes before your meal. Pizza thin crust but soft with obviously authentic homemade sauce. Angelo brought out an extra little bowl of olives for my toddler. So nice. Little place so make sure to arrive early.

We went to Angelo’s mainly on the recommendation of others who have written reviews. So glad we went. The moment we entered the door there was a friendly ambiance. Stunning mother-son violin, guitar jazz music and Angelo played traditional songs from Italy on his guitar. We both had Minestrone soup, I had delicious vegetable lasagne and my wife had carbonara that was ok. I would go again

This was the best Italian experience I’ve had in ages. The space is small and intimate but not cheesy and festooned with pictures of Piza etc. they brought us a board of antipasti that was well done — quality olives, cheese and salami, and fresh bread. I ordered sausage rigatoni but they were running low on sausage and asked if I would like a meatball as well. I said yes and they brought just an enormous dish of rigatoni al dente with some of the best marinara sauce I’ve ever eaten. All through the meal the owners son was playing guitar and the owners wife accompanying on fiddle. The music was great — the son was a great guitarist– but they were never so loud that they interfered with conversation. I would eat here again without question and recommend it without hesitation to anyone else visiting Bandon!

Looking for a place to eat on Sunday night in Bandon can be a challenge, so we thought we’d give Angelos a try. We knew as soon as we walked in we had chosen the right place. It looks like a warm family restaurant and that is confirmed when you look at all of the family pictures on the walls. We actually met Angelo, and his staff was very friendly. And the food — better than we even imagined!!! We had the Lasagna and the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Nothing fancy, but two staples that can really show if an Italian restaurant is authentic. And Angelos didn’t disappoint — THEFOODWASOUTSTANDING! Don’t miss out on this quiet gem in Bandon!

A small but very enjoyable restaurant. The owner, his wife and son serenaded throughout dinner. The small wine and beer list focuses on Italian wines and beers. I had the ciopino, which featured a robust broth and a good collection of sesfood. Recommended.

After all the rave of this restaurant I decided to give it a try while in town from CA visiting family. Food was amazing, service was great. Live music in the background made this a fun outing. We loved the fritte(cooked spinach,) and fettuccine Alfredo. I could have done without the clam with white wine sauce on the back of the menu, not like the linguini with clams I was expecting unfortunately. Overall would return!

LOVEDTHISPLACE! I had the eggplant parmigiano and my fiancé had the spaghetti and meatballs. Delicious! The owner came out himself and asked how everything was and cracked some jokes. Super sweet. On the front of the menu is his story of growing up in Italy. Very passionate, this isn’t a «job» for him. Great waitress too. In other reviews they said place is somewhat small but that really doesn’t matter! They were even accommodating to a gluten free lactose intolerant man which is near impossible! Great place to eat.

Celebrated a family vacation at Angelo ’ s tonight. Great atmosphere even for two young children, 3 and 10. The food was amazing. We had the pizza, spaghetti and meatballs plus the steak with risotto. Excellent! Great two person band singing all your favorites and multiple check ins from the chef, Angelo! We will be back. Outstanding!
