Easily the best restaurant in Banning, my only regret is that I have not ate here enough! The food is always amazing, and the customer service is what other restaurants should strive to be!

Breakfasts are reliably great but when the dinner kitchen staff needs some supervision. The so-called mashed potatoes were left over baked potatoes, the turkey was dry, my wife’s chicken fried steak was really thin and the corn on the cob was discolored and mushy. And theyve switched from real butter on. the corn bread to Crisco. YIKES. Breakfast only from. now on!

A bit pricy. Good service, clean, pleasant interior. The honey fried chicken had little flavor, but was juicy. The chicken pot pie was small, and while the crust was good, the filing was mediocre, similar to store-bought frozen pies. The chili was flavorless and lukewarm, and the sourdough bread bowl it came in was decent. Very underwhelming, disappointing.

This place is awesome! The food and the service was great. Seriously I am a Very picky eater and I am an excellent cook and I hate going out when I can cook better than what I’m eating. Try this place it’s going to be your new favorite. Ask for Michelle. She is such a great waitress and she’s so happy that you automatically become happy to be there.

The restaurant reminds me of being at gramma’s house in Texas. Great down home feel and atmosphere. The serving staff are all very friendly and make you feel like one of the family. Out of everything I would have given 5 stars if our waitress did not seem overwhelmed and not come back to refill our coffee. She was very polite and took our order right away. The food came in an good amount of time and was hot and tasty. The coffee taste good and the breakfast was well seasoned with a fresh made flavor. My only and one and only complaint was the waitress never checked on us after the food was served. I had to flag down the hostess for coffee refills and anything else. I know it wasn’t on purpose but it just seemed as if she was too busy to come back. Not sure if that’s true but that’s my only complaint. Will definitely be back.

We’ve driven past this place on the freeway many times, but never had the chance to try it until now. Unfortunately, Gramma disappointed us. The restaurant itself is very quaint and dripping with folksy, country-style Americana. All the bakery goodness looks delectable, but we didn’t partake. We stopped for lunch on a weekday and the restaurant was moderately busy, but not crazy. We were seated pretty quickly off in a corner booth by the restrooms which, while cozy, seemed to result in getting very little attention from the staff. The menu is quite extensive and most everything sounded good, and we finally placed our orders. When our food arrived there were some upgrades to our sides that weren’t done, but no one ever came by so we could let them know, so we just dealt with it. We just assumed that our server misheard our order. Once we were finished, we waited for our check… and waited… and waited. Finally, I had to chase down the busboy and ask if he could have our server being our check. When we got it we were surprised to see that the upgrades to our sides were in the check and we were being charged for them. We pointed it out and they did remove the difference, but made us wonder why our orders weren’t correct. It’s even unclear as to whether you pay your check at the table or walk up to the register. I asked the busboy and he said«you can do either». The food was good, but nothing special. Prices seems a little bit steep, too. Perhaps I’ll give this place another chance, but they didn’t make a very good first impression.

Grammas has a big selection. I’ve tried several things there… The sandwich was too much for me, hubby loved it though. On in rings were good. Too many for 3 of us to eat along with the ginormous sandwiches. This trip I got breakfast for lunch… Breakfast is served All Day. So is Lunch. Country Fried Steak Breakfast includes a Potato dish(hash browns/Home fries/something else), Eggs(you choose how you’d like them), & bread or pancakes… the Raspberry Jam Syrup was really good! Tasted like Gramma made it! ;) The others in my party ordered from the dinner menu. Dinner costs more. Haha. They enjoyed their dishes. Meatloaf was sliced with gravy on top served with Cornbread, veggies, nutritious green side salad. The dinner order of Chicken Fried Steak is the same size of CFS as breakfast with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, veggies, side salad & bread. Drinks were refilled often. The server was really nice but a little ditzy with us & others. I heard her tell another table that it was her fault and that«after Christmas there really wasn’t much left in here» Pointing to her head. Haha Cute! Very nice atmosphere… Good food… Nice but not always efficient service… that’s ok, not big mess ups, Grace. :-) Happy New Year!

After an old co-worker raved about this place, I put them on my radar. I finally had the chance to drive out this way and grab some morning grub with hubby. The place has a warm«gramma» feel to it — and by warm I mean literally. haha. I loved it, but hubby wasn’t fond. He was starting to sweat. the food was good. I, of course, ordered a steak breakfast. It was large portion of sides. I will always eat rib eye even if it isn’t the greatest… and I ate it but the steak was left to be desired. Had I not heard so much hype about this place, I wouldn’t have had any expectations going in and I think my «food» experience would have been better. Our server was very sweet and attentive even though she was quite busy with others and clearing away tables. I didn’t try a pie, but they didn’t look very appetizing. Maybe I just caught them on an off day. I’ll have to go back another time for a second chance. :) A tip: Don’t try the macaroon on your way out. It tastes more like a dried out coconut cookie. :\

Where do I began? I’ve driven pass this place so many times without going in. BIG mistake! This place I’d a hidden treasure. Everything on the menu was great. We quizzed Trishia on all the pies. NAILEDIT. I have recommended this to everyone I know. I will return to try everything on their menu. This little gem has so much flare inside, it’s ridiculous. As other guests ordered dynamite dishes, we saw them and had to order it, too. The prices can’t be beat. I want to compliment the wizards in the kitchen. I give 5 ½ stars!

Stopped here on our way to AZ(it was recommended). Was worried because of the reviews but ended up being a worthy stop. You literally walk in to what looks like you walked into a country grandmas kitchen; wallpaper covered walls, tea kettles, old plates, wood chairs and fresh baked goods displayed for your choosing. We ordered the half order biscuits and eggs and ribeye steak and eggs special. I’m not biscuit and gravy lover but I really enjoyed this so I took a few more ‘taster’ bites than I would have. My steak was delicious(tender, perfectly seasoned/cooked) and the hash browns cooked perfectly crispy! Only issue was that we may disagree on what eggs over easy looks like because there was still clear egg white drooling from the eggs. Service and food was incredibly fast! We were in and out in 30 minutes.

This place has a nice menu, friendly staff and is child friendly. The portions were decent. Fries are the steak fries, which I don’t like so in case you don’t either you’ve been warned. The food was decent. Not great, not bad. Service was pretty quick. The waitress we had was my issue. She asked the same questions about our order 2 or 3 times, sometimes returning to the table to ask when she was standing in front of us with pen and paper in hand. Then when the order came our wrong she looked at her paper and told us that is what she had written down. Like she was arguing that’s what we had actually ordered. Nope. That’s not what we ordered and it’s not my problem that’s what you wrote down. We did get what we ordered but the whole interaction was just awkward.

Pleasantly surprised by this cute country kitchen. Friendly service and quaint atmosphere, where you will see a love for the Lord and America all over the walls. Once we ordered, our food came out quickly. I accidentally ordered tater-tots and they exchanged them for the home fries no problem. However the home fries did not taste fresh, like they had been sitting out a while. Overall, it’s a great little place to stop in for breakfast. You can expect friendly & speedy service with decent home cooked food.

Everyone else I went with seemed to have a better experience than I did. They are all about customer service. Meanwhile we were standing at the hostess stand waiting to be seated 4 different waitresses as they passed us said«we will be right with you» so one star for acknowledging us! As I’m sitting waiting to get my coffee I have time to look around and notice how much dust the ceiling fans and all the knick knacks have collected. I can’t help but wonder what happens when the fans are turned on. When I received my coffee and started preparing it I noticed that there was a little dead bug in my coffee. I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she apologized and poured me a new cup… Not from a fresh pot. I ordered the grammas egg benedicts with a side of hash Browns. The portion was huge and it has got to be one of the messiest egg benedicts I have ever seen. As I started to eat, I notice that there is something oddly off about the hollandaise sauce… They over did it on the lemon. It completely took over my breakfast and did not allow me to enjoy it to its fullest. Maybe I just made the wrong breakfast choice.

First off, I loved the little country diner atmosphere of this place. It’s a great pit stop when you want a break from your travels and want to sit down and have some comfort food! It’s right off the 10 freeway. Depending on what you order, this place can be a hit or miss. I got the chicken fried steak, which comes with two sides. I got the grits and biscuit and gravy. The chicken fried steak was tender. The crust did not have much of a crunch but I really liked how tender it was. The grits was bland and could easily be passed up on. The biscuit was soft and moist. However, I found the gravy to be salty and lacking in flavor. I really wished I asked for my gravy on the side! My boyfriend got«The Kitchen Sink» omelette with sides of two pancakes and tater tots. The omelette was pretty good. This dish is perfect for any meat-lover, as it comes with sausage, ham, and bacon. The pancakes were so good! It was surprisingly fluffy. The tater tots, as silly as this may sound, I actually loved. They have cooked it to a perfect crispiness where the outside has a great crisp and the inside was soft. Honestly, I didn’t know I could enjoy tater tots that much. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop by here again. Service was also really friendly. Servers seem genuine and appear as if they really care about you. My coffee was being refilled all the time. I even saw one of the waitresses walking an elderly customer to the restroom. If you’re around the area, I would recommend trying this place out!
