Golden Dragon

I visit this place regularly with my sister because she loves the snow crabs that are offered on the buffet. The place is a little run down and could use some updates, but the workers are friendly and I enjoy the food.

The years have not been kind to the Golden Dragon restaurant. What used to be a nice Chinese buffet restaurant is now a grubby, dilapidated feeding trough. Worn carpet, ripped upholstery and mini-​blinds held together with packing tape indicate that the management is not sinking a whole lot back into the business.
Perhaps it’s because they are trying to overreach because of all the competition in town. If you put King crab legs on an $ 11 all-​you-​can-​eat buffet, there are people who are going to eat all the crab legs they can eat. I guess that doesn’t leave much money for maintenance or repairs.
We sampled many of their dishes tonight. They were hit and miss. Some were tasty. Some were fresh. One or two were even tasty and fresh. We didn’t try the king crab legs. We did have a couple of crawfish, no matter how odd it is to find those on a Chinese buffet.
The crawfish were okay. Certainly if you wanted to eat your fill of crawfish, $ 11 is not a bad price to pay. You might as well stop in and drive another nail in the coffin of the Golden Dragon.
