The restaurant has been redecorated and rearranged in the last year, and a new chef has been hired. We have always enjoyed the bar and restaurant in years past while on vacation, but it has gotten even better. Prices are reasonable, and food is great. We had an excellent roast elk dinner — tender and flavorful. Great atmosphere and service. Not to be missed if you are in the area.

We got the Mac and cheese both the crab and truffle Mac and cheese. The waiter went out of his way to get my partner Mac and cheese without any green peppers which was very nice and went to get me more truffle oil on my Mac which didn’t taste like truffle at all. But, the Mac and cheese had no cheese. It tasted like Mac and cheese from a box which it probably is. Disappointing for sure. I am always looking for great Mac and cheese. They did offer to add Parmesan and took it off the bill. They said it was a 4 cheese sauce but I don’t taste any cheese. I am pretty particular though as Mac and cheese is my favorite comfort food. I’ll try something else here later in the week. Came and tried breakfast. I ordered oatmeal and was brought a huge bowl of watery oatmeal which was cold. I sent it back and the next bowl wasn’t so watery or cold. Why give me that first bowl? Not good. Then came in for late night drink and homemade ice cream. I had the salted caramel which was way too salty and before I said anything the chef came out and apologized. Hmmmmm.

John the bartender made us feel so welcomed. He made room at the bar and moved chairs around so we could enjoy the Broncos/Patriots game. He brought water without us asking probably knowing we were parched from the days skiing. He allowed us to sample the craft beers made small but important accomodations for us all around. The day before our actual visit, Matt and another female bartender at the Osprey Lounge convinced me to try the food. Hesitant as I was to try the food because it was a Vail Resorts restaurant, the food was very good. I tried a special blue cheese and bacon burger and it was perfectly medium cooked and seasoned. I also had the wings with a bacon blue dipping sauce. The wings are smoked and tasted so but I would have preferred the wings to be drenched in the wing sauce. My overall experience was excellent.

Epicly bad service for lunch. Took over 1 hour to get food after ordering. Party of 8 got served in 3 tranches over a 20 minute period. Clearly don’t have their act together. Gave one star because food wasn’t bad. Never again on a powder day

A series of «small plate» selections feature a very nice blending of flavors. Their sandwich selections are top notch. A smoker out back by the ski lift allows the inclusion of some excellent smoked meats including beef brisket and Mojo Smoked Pork. The bartenders are knowledgeable and serve up some fantastic mixed drinks — including excellent Martinis and Margaritas. Ask them what their signature drink specialty is and you won’t be disappointed.
