We were driving home when we found them the first time, now we check facebook all the time to find them. We ordered Ribs, Brisket, Cole Slaw and Baked Beans. We are a family of cooks so I can be a little harsh in my reviews, but this food is good. Ribs the meat fell off the bone, it was so good, they use their own BBQ sauce, so its not the run of the mill boring. I had the Brisket as I don’t eat pork, and wow, tender, a little fatty(it should be) and so tasty. Then then we ordered baked beans, and freaking amazing, loved them. The food was so good I ordered it for my sons graduation party and everyone their raved about how good it was. Pros: Not just pork(I don’t eat pork), delicious sandwiches and ribs, nice people Cons: Take out only, as it is a food truck, sides can be a bit small.

Finding them is the trick, they are no longer at the TV highway address, they are in the parking lot of the Uptown Market, on Scholls Ferry just past Burgerville on the right. The easiest way to find out if they are there and what times is to like them on Facebook.(they update that all the time) We ordered Ribs, Brisket, Cole Slaw and Baked Beans. We have a Traeger and smoke a great deal ourselves, so we are pretty harsh critics. They are good. Ribs — Fall off the bone tender, smoky, wish it came with Barbecue Sauce Brisket — tender, tasty and a bit fatty(which he explained it would be) Cole Slaw — excellent, however the portion size was silly, 4 bites if that in a cup Baked Beans, freaking amazing, loved them Overall pretty darned good, I will be back. They need to either make the sides cheaper or larger. They are super nice folks, very friendly, I hope they make it big! They are looking into a larger truck so they can have mac and cheese and some other sides. Can’t wait!

This place is awesome! The good is delicious and the portions are nearly enough for a good coma. The staff who run the truck are extremely friendly. I had the chicken bacon bomb and baked beans. Amazing! The baked beans are their own recipe and super tasty. Paired with a good amber makes for an extremely tasty meal.

Excellent ribs! I usually order a whole rack. Yum! But lately, I’ve really enjoyed the bbq brisket. Yesterday’s brisket was deeeeelllllliiissshhhh! Very tender; juicy and flavorful. Love the homemade beans — pineapple adds just the right amount of sweet to an already spicy dish. Nice people who run the food cart. NEWLOCATION: Scholls Ferry/Allen — behind that burger place. Give them a try! You’ll be glad you did.

This review is for the two sandwiches and sides… The Chicken Bomb: Bacon wrapped, juicy chicken breast stuffed with a Jalapeño on a soft and chewy roll. Has the perfect amount of kick in the mouth. One of my favorites on the menu. It was off the menu for a bit but brought back by popular demand. The Pull Pork Sandwich: Smoked low and slow for hours in its juices and special rub with a little kick of spice on the same soft chewy roll. Made from scratch baked beans with pineapple chunks to add more flavor for the taste buds. Homemade slaw to tame the heat. Roasted Corn with secret rub. Overall the ingredients were a great combination of different of flavors to keep your mouth wanting more…

Food trucks are a cool thing. With they’re easy access to great food, outdoorsy attitude and in and out vibe… they are a do for sure. But it’s hard for me to get off my butt sometimes to drive waaay downtown to the oceans of FT’s(yes I overthink the drive but geez it’s highway 26… shoot me now). And… if your a smart cookie, you might think to keep your truck here in town on the westside, right smack in the heart of good ol biz like Intel and Nike etc. just like these smarty pants, Up n Smoke BBQ. :) I like baked beans, and I like cole slaw. But I LOVE theirs! Not your average beans, they are more like a tex spicy bean, I don’t know how they do it. Really. The slaw is downright legit with a milky and tang just what it is supposed to be. Yes. Yes. On to the BBQ… serious melt in your mouth ribs and brisket to crave by an hour after I left. They slathered the ribs with their homemade made with love BBQ sauce that was to die for! Of course you can get as much or less of sauce as you want. Me? I’m a saucy girl who likes it saucy. Yay! They also have freakin awesome sonaran dogs.(I think I spelled it right :/) but how can you not be happy with a kosher dog wrapped in bacon?!? Hah. All in all when a BBQ comes a calling this is where we will go! Only thing is they might be easy to miss, so keep a lookout for them on TV highway right next to the Aloha surplus store. It’s worth it. :D

Best BBQ around! Sonaran dog is epic… its a bacon wrapped beef dog topped with lettuce, tomato, mozzarella cheese, refried beans, soaran sauce, and fresh homemade salsa(which is incredible). Baked beans are so so good(sweet and spicy)… usually baked beans are not my go to, but HERE they are! Servings are generous so come hungry!
