Very overpriced($ 1100 for tiny 2br/1ba) in a very overpriced market in a post-Katrina world. New Orleans metro is littered with super high rentals; the base is no different. Pluses:(1) I was able to move in on a very short notice.(2) The staff is super friendly.(3) You have a pretty secure place to live.(4) Maintenance is pretty quick.(5) Lots of activities for the kids.(6) Facebook page to buy and sell furniture and appliances for folks moving in and out. Minuses:(1) My background check paperwork was lost, forcing me to stay in a hotel three extra days with a moving truck.(2) I was given a very small 2 br /1 ba with no garage because I live alone and do not have lots of possessions.(3) Both bedrooms are tiny and the bathroom is slightly larger than a closet.(4) Lessee expected to sign up for online rent payment or allotment, or be charged one full month’s rent for deposit.(5) I lived there six months before the accounting manager sent me a letter a week before Christmas demanding I set up payments online or by allotment, or I need to bring $ 1100 for a security deposit. NICETIMING! So now I pay online and get ripped off for $ 3 per transaction.(6) Maintenance shows up when they want, so be ready for early visitors if you request maintenance.(7) Pest control is not very good, as maintenance thinks spraying the home is still an effective way to clean up things like giant roaches. Thank goodness for Harris pellets that do a great job. Now I am battling silverfish. Recommendation: If you are eligible, and dislike looking for a place to live in a VERYOVERPRICED metropolitan area, this is the way to go. Otherwise, there are plenty of homes for sale.
