This location is closing, and I’m sad about that. I hope Kroger(their new owner) picks up the mantle in this area. If HT does one thing right, it’s fresh food. They have the biggest refrigerated selection of any supermarket.

love it! always clean and employees kind. never out of stock on items. although higher prices it is a higher end grocery but their sales and double coupons make up for it. if you can’t find an item you are wanting at regular stores your best bet is Harris teeter

The Teet is there when I need it. I don’t do the bulk of my shopping here because it’s overpriced. But when you run out of creamer or bananas, it’s the go to store. Their parking lot is horrible during traffic time. Some of the workers are nice, but for the most part they don’t seem to really care one way or another that you’re there.

There’s always Harris when you teeter in at any time of the day. Groceries, gel pens, frozen pizzas, coffee, HT has you covered. Until 12:00AM. Take that, Publix!

I am not in Nashville very often and grocery wise options like Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s it’s nice to be able to go to a large supermarket with higher quality foods, or is it a high quality market with supermarket prices? Anyways, Harris Teeter is the perfect medium for that. A lot of organic fruits and vegetables, a hot bar with a lot of selection and at prices that are pretty crazy for what you get. The layout is a little bit confusing, the produce section is, like any grocery store first and foremost but it’s the other half of the store that seemed cramped, and disorganized to me. I didn’t even know there was a 2nd story until after I left. It pays to be a repeat customer in more ways than one since their customer card gives some of the biggest discounts I’ve seen, it literally saved me $ 10. Well, I didn’t have a card the cashier let me use his ‘just this once’ after I tried to apply for one during checkout. Speaking of cramped, the parking situation they have is also pretty claustrophobic with all the SUVs going in and out you would think they would widen it a little. It was a nightmare trying to back out and not hit either the cart corral or traffic which was squeezing both in and out bound.

This is the nicer of the Harris Teeter’s in town. Good quality, hot food bar, nice bread bar where you can try samples.(If I remember correctly, it’s been a while since I had a sample-fest.) It’s located in the cute little«walking» neighborhood by the fancy condos off of Harding. The 2nd floor design of Harris Teeters always trips me up a little — what’s on the 2nd floor again? Paper goods and hygiene stuff? I also get a little tripped on the fact that Harris Teeters don’t really have a designated organic of «natural» section. It’s all mixed in among the other groceries, usually made obvious enough. However, the milk substitutes — such as almond and soy milk — are found in the baking section. Huh? Cool thing about this Harris Teeter — they have WiFi! And a Starbucks inside so you can have a full-on coffee space experience. Except last that I remember, there were no electrical outlets to be found in any seating areas. And the BEST thing about this Harris Teeter — it is open until midnight, EVERY night. Many a time I have realized at 11:30p that I had no groceries, so rather than research a 24 hour Kroger(which I’d rather not go to anyway), I go here.

Best Harris Teeter in the city. It’s not just a grocery store, it’s an adventure/maze with a cart-escalator(cartalator?), stairs, an elevator, an underground parking garage(with security guard) and more! I found the biggest head of lettuce EVER here. I’ll be chowing down on that lettuce for a week. What else is good at HT? Ciao bella sorbet is an amazing, refreshing and cool treat in the hot weather(which this year apparently started on March 1). And HT also carries some really cool spices, such as grind-your-own garlic. Can often find some nice salmon in the fish department. Just a really pleasant experience and never crowded. In fact, I worry that that they don’t get enough business because they kept the old movie theater architecture and put the entrance in the back. People! There is an entrance and plenty of parking behind the store. Don’t be afraid to drive around back and enter a grocery wonderland!

This Harris is bi-level like the one on 21st, but far more spacious. It has a Cart-o-lator, which is an escalator for your cart down to the parking garage. It is very easy to park and enter on any level. The aisles are very wide and clear. The carts lack the bottom rack, but that didn’t end up bothering me. This area is being redone. It’s safe, but they’re making it more pedestrian friendly. Long-term projects really emphasize the ‘walkability’ of this White Bridge/Harding Pl./Woodmont Ln. area. This store is competing with the Publix across the street and the Belle Meade Kroger, though the Teeter is by far my favorite.

Is it an urban or suburban store? The entrance to this store is not visible from Harding Road, so you’d think there would be adequate sidewalks that wrapped around the building. You’d be wrong, dead wrong depending on the speed of the SUVs whipping around the corner from the back. If you have an Hummer, odds are quite good that you will make it out of here alive. The store itself is just a grocery store. All hygiene products, paper goods and housewares are on the upper floor, accessed by either an elevator or set of stairs. The selection of items they sell is perhaps the best in the city, but don’t expect to find the same products you would see in a Whole Foods or Dean & Deluca. If you use the garage, you would do well not to park in the spots near the garage entrance… there is a dedicated store entrance on the floor immediately below street level.
