Nice place for drinks with a good view of Lake Washington and Downtown Seattle!

I finally had a DINNER here thus completing my Daniel’s Broiler circuit. The waiter was super helpful, explaining how much meat is left after the bone is removed from the bone-in items. The feature wine this time wasn’t available by the glass but I usually like to get that. Views are great and since it was my birthday I even got a complimentary chocolate cake with a candle! That was a really nice touch, of course this negates the need for any further dessert. Very thankful for the service!

We like this location better than the Seattle location. The service seems to be more personal here. And that is the biggest reason for giving this place 5 stars. The steak is, of course, excellent. Nothing more I can say that other reviewers haven’t already said. This is a perfect spot for«date night». The ambiance is very classy and the view is spectacular. They have a wide variety of cuts for your steak as well as a very good wine selection as well. But beyond the excellent food, I want to mention the extent to which this place goes to make sure your meal is perfect. When they serve your steak, they slice it slightly open and show it to you so you can confirm that it was properly cooked. If it’s not, they will start over with a new cut. Also, during one of my visits, the steak was cooked properly but I realized after about halfway through that this was not the correct size of steak that I ordered. It was a bit too small. The waiter realized that he switched mine with another table’s by accident. Of course the other table didn’t complain because they got a bigger steak. So the waiter got me a new steak and let me keep the current one. I thought this level of service was outstanding. Every time I’m in Bellevue, I make some excuse to come here. I’ll do so again. Make reservations!

Brought the boy here for his birthday dinner and what a great experience it was! I had mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday so I don’t know if that made for the wonderful service. Got a window table overlooking the water and downtown Seattle in the distance. Our server wished the boy a happy birthday and made great recommendations as to what kind of steak to get. Food & drinks were awesome! Topped if off with a delish lava cake/ice cream/fresh berries concoction, with a candle of course, on the house. The atmosphere was a bit too loud as I was going for an intimate/romantic dinner but overall, a very yummy and successful birthday dinner !

This restaurant was super busy on New Year’s Eve. Our table was placed in a small corner and the waiters/bussers had to squeeze by to serve the tables in our area. I noticed our waiter wasn’t as attentive as the waiter serving the next table. The other waiter made sure his guests were well taken care of. Our waiter checked on us just a couple of times. I don’t like it when you’re in a fine dining restaurant and you need to ask for more water. I had the cup of clam chowder which was just ok, since it came to our table warm. The warm spinach salad with pecans were excellent… the dressing was delicious. Now for the steaks… I don’t understand how a restaurant can charge $ 60 and $ 70 for a piece of steak… rib eye or bone-in Delmonico. At least it came with a baked potato with all the toppings. I think the steaks at Costco are much more tender, flavorful and moderately priced. Note: we used giftcards from Costco

We keep coming back to Daniel’s mainly because of the food and the convenient location for us. We also have their platinum card, so there’s a little incentive to go to this steakhouse instead of others, but time and time again we are disappointed by there service. Especially the Bellevue location. The food is great, but the service cannot compare to my favorite El Gaucho. The most recent time(new year’s day) we had an older lady server named Lisa. I very much disliked her as a server. She looked very unfriendly, never smiled and very rarely came to check up on us. When we paid, she also forgot to give us back our rewards card and we couldn’t get if back until we literally had to wave and flag her down. She was also very forceful and overly insistent that we order dessert even after saying no. We, instead opted for some after dinner tea. Before we even had a chance to enjoy our tea, she all of a sudden came by more frequently to say ‘nice’ things like«well, I hope you all have a nice day,» to drive us out. She came by twice to do that. Like I said, very disappointed with the service. Feels nothing like fine dining service should, but with all the fine dining pricing. They need to take a lesson from El Gaucho’s wait staff. The food though is pretty good. I love their prime rib, yum. They have an appetizer called spicy barbecue prawns, which has an amazing sauce, although the bread that comes with it leaves something to be desired. Their lobster club salad is very delicious and refreshing. Steak sandwich for lunch is also very tasty. The view from the Bellevue location is very nice because the restaurant is on the twenty first floor at the Bellevue Place.

The best place to eat in town!!! We usually get lamb shanks and veal. Daniels red wine was always a good wine for us to enjoy. Nice and clean. Customer service is outstanding. We visit this place more than 3 times a year and always was satisfied with food and service they provided!!! A great place for romantic time. Lighting and view is nice.

You can’t get any better than Daniel’s for a steakhouse in Bellevue. They cook it to perfection and they’ve been around for as long as I remember. Apparently, you can get your food to-go too. The steaks are cooked to perfection(had a delectable ribeye, although some others in the party ordered filet mignon too). This isn’t your typical chain steakhouse by any means. There’s an art form to cooking steak so that it’s still medium rare, but isn’t bloody, and Daniel’s does it with professionalism. Even the potato with all the trimmings was done well, which is what is to be expected of a higher end place. My family has always referred new clients to Daniel’s and used Daniel’s for all sorts of special occasions. We’ll continue to with the fabulous service. One after thought. If I’m not mistaken, I believe you can make reservations on OpenTable. This does make it someone easier to get in if you plan ahead.

I stopped in here just for a few drinks with coworkers. We were looking for a comfortable place to have a few drinks with a view. It’s a trendy spot filled with well-dressed Seattleites. They have a lot of open seating at the bar, but it does get packed. Fortunately, we managed to get a window seat. Great view, good pours, good service. I would like to come back and try a few things on their dinner menu.

There are so few times in my life that I can account of having such is splendiferous meal that it almost made me cry! This birthday dinner of mine, which was attended by 12 other friends, was one of those times that I’ll always remember! The Porterhouse Steak I ordered was so very succulent, the baked potato was like a delicious gift from the potato gods! We were in a party of 13 so we had the good fortune of having the Board Room all to ourselves and I can tell you, that alone took it to cozy level 10!!! Daniel Broiler’s was a hit amongst all of us… of the 13 in attendance, 4 of us were celebrating our birthdays. What a delight!!! It was the best two and a half hours I’ve spent all year! I defy you to dine at Daniel’s Broiler and not leave with an experience short of immeasurably decadent. I assure you I will return, whether it’s my birthday or just sneaking off by myself to rekindle the affair that I will have with one of those steaks, I will return!

I took my mom and my boyfriend here for Thanksgiving dinner last night, and sadly it turned out to be a disappointment. I originally made a reservation for 8:30pm since almost all the other times were booked, so we promptly arrived a little before that time in hope of getting seated early. After arriving, we had to wait an extra 30 – 40 minutes until we got our table! And to add insult to injury, they ran out of prime rib that we all wanted to try on the Thanksgiving four-course dinner menu. In the end, we ended up ordering filet mignons that were off the Thanksgiving dinner menu that costed an extra $ 8 – 18 per person. The ambiance is classy although dimly lit… my mom could barely read the menu because it was so dark! We sat in a booth that had a nice view of the city during nighttime. I imagine this restaurant to be a nice place to take someone for a fancy date. For the first course, we were served the«Autumn Relish Tray» that consisted of marinated vegetables with a smoked salmon spread. I liked how this was nice and light, giving it a nice transition to the following courses. Each of us also ordered the clam chowder as a second course that was delicious and full of clams. For the entrée, we each ordered the filet mignon that came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The filet itself was very tender and flavorful, though I wished it was a little more seasoned since it wasn’t very salty, but that’s just a matter of preference. The mashed potatoes were really buttery and very filling. I ended up with a box of leftovers after eating all of this. Lastly, we each ordered the vanilla bean crème brulée that was beautifully presented with some fruit and a ginger cookie on top. The custard was pretty good, but I couldn’t taste too much of the vanilla bean flavor. However, it was my mom’s first time trying this and she loved it. Daniel’s Broiler knows how to cook their food fairly well, but it was hard to enjoy dinner since I felt like we got cheated from having an enjoyable meal with the people I care about. Given how expensive it is to dine here, one would expect excellent service but that was never the case for me. One good thing I like about this location over the Seattle location is that they provide free parking in the parking garage, which you can either get your parking validated or free after a certain time. I feel hesitant in wanting to come here again after this experience, especially on a busy night such as Thanksgiving.

The service, ambience, and view are all excellent. The steak is good too of course but a true steakhouse needs to transcend just the excellent steak. However, I think the menu and food were a little lacking. In addition to steak, the menu has some good lobster items such as lobster tails, lobster mashed potatoes, and lobster salad as well as other notables such as seared ahi tuna appetizer, artichoke and crab dip appetizer, etc. However, the menu is lacking some other special dishes such as foie gras, mushrooms, truffles, grilled asparagus, etc. The seared ahi tuna appetizer was terrible. The tuna was smoked in some odd way so it really distracted the dish from the fresh dish that ahi tuna should be and made it more like a medium rare smoked halibut type of dish. The steaks are all good. My bone in NY steak was good but overcooked(I asked for it medium but it was medium well with hardly any pink). To be fair, they did ask me to cut into it and verify that it was cooked to satisfaction and it wasn’t but I didn’t feel like making a scene. The lobster salad and lobster mashed potatoes were both good. However, I am one of the few people(yeah, this is probably where you will all disagree with me) who doesn’t like bacon. Yes that’s right, I don’t like bacon. The lobster salad and lobster mashed potatoes were full of bacon bits so I didn’t like the dishes as much and had to pick away at the bacon. BTW, picking away at the bacon is virtually impossible because the restaurant is very dark. I don’t usually mind that but when the food is full of bits that I don’t like, it can be a bit annoying. The steaks come with 1 side(garlic mashed potatoes or a baked potato) and I got the baked potato. There are all of the fixings such as butter, sour cream, chives, bacon bits so I asked for a little bit of sour cream and chives. They have a typical dessert menu but again, it lacks some of the special desserts such as a chocolate soufflé, chocolate lava cake, etc. I think if they had a more original menu, it would go a long way. I am taking a break from drinking so I didn’t have any wine but they had some truly impressive bottles of wine on display at the entrance. I am assuming that their wine menu is much nicer than their food menu.

Been coming to this location over the years for their desserts. Today, one of our party had a temporary drivers license and the manager asked us to leave because it was not a acceptable form of ID. We told him that it was according to the WA liquor control board. He didn’t want to hear any of it. Since we only wanted desserts, we asked to be sat in the dining area. He told us we cannot order just desserts in the dining area and we would have to order full meals. I never heard of any restaurant having such a requirement. Will be filing formal complaint with their corporate office.

Yum yum yum. Awesome view. Delicious food. Excellent piano player/singer. Great ambiance. Splendid service. What else could you ask for? I’ve been here for happy hour multiple times. Parking is validated. Good prices. I recommend the filet mignon steak strips, seared ahi tuna, steak tartare, bacon wrapped Alaskan weathervane scallops, Australian lamb chops, dungeness crab and artichoke dip. The last time I came here was for a birthday dinner. I ordered the Australian lamb chops. They were cooked perfectly, and very filling. My friend had told me how much she loved them so I just had to try. We also got a complimentary chocolate molten cake as it was a birthday celebration. We ordered the coconut fudge sundae for dessert as well, which was very rich. As a plus, you can sign up for the Schwartz Bros. rewards program for $ 25(free if you are an Amazon employee). The rewards just keep coming the more you visit. :)

I enjoyed the ambiance and the view from the restaurant, plus the service was good, however I think I had higher expectations of the food given the prices(the prices are the main reason for my 3-star rating). Three of us went for lunch and our bill totaled about $ 95! Note: One person in our group had a gift card that needed to be used. We ordered a Filet Mignon Sandwich($ 23), Prime Rib Dip($ 22), Crab-Stuffed Prawns($ 28) and Calamari($ 10) as the appetizer. Even though the steaks are labeled USDA prime, I thought the price was extremely high for a sandwich & fries. **Calamari — The breading had a nice crispiness and was lightly seasoned, but I wish the batter was a little thinner. The portion size was reasonable and an ideal size for 3 – 4 people. **Crab-Stuffed Prawns — This was okay, but I didn’t really care for the BBQ sauce underneath the shrimp… the crab filling was creamy, so it seemed to be an odd paring. The BBQ was a bit strong and seemed to mask the flavor of the crab. It might have been better if the sauce was served on the side or just lightly drizzled on top. However, I did enjoy the grilled asparagus and polenta cake. Overall the dish is pretty rich and more filling than expected. If I were to come here again, I would probably try dinner instead and order a steak, since that seems to be their specialty. However, because of the prices, I probably wouldn’t consider returning unless given some sort of coupon/promotion.

We were so hoping for great first experience in Bellevue and since I just flew in wanted something more casual so ended up here. The ambiance is nice– little loud by the bar but if you end up on the other side in the dining room you can have your quiet area. The menu is pretty simple and frankly if you do not like cream, butter and other heavy food– not much to choose form on sides– veggies/salad options are very limited. They do have great wine list so we ordered Italian Brunello I believe. The service was worse than in Outback steakhouse– had to constantly ask for water and/or other things– took forever to order our food. The NY steak was cooked to perfection and the salted baked potato was very good. Steak Tartare was dry and probably worst I ever had anywhere in the world. They were out of their specialty-prime rib at 8pm on Friday night. The management really needs to train their staff to equal up to the prices/caliber of the restaurant as well as check with clients about their experience as we did not have the waiter not anyone else ask us at any point how our food or dinner experience was…

This is so far one of my favorite restaurants/steak houses around. The place is very classy, beautiful, and has a great customer service. The food is spectacular! My favorite dishes are the bacon wrapped scallops and the filet with loaded baked potato. I also love the wine selection it offers. The cocktails are also wonderful. Very strong, lots of alcohol, which is not very common in many places. That is why we are always at Daneil’s. Unfortunately, we had our first really bad experience at Valentine’s day 2015. I understand that in a such a day like Valentine’s things can get a little bit out of control and service might not be as good as usual, but our last valentine’s day at Daniel’s was a disasters. First of all, when my husband call to made the reservation, he made sure to let they know we wanted to be seated on the restaurant area. Well, it did not happen. We got there in time and was seated 20 minutes later in the bar area, which was very loud. If we wanted to wait it could take over an hour the host said. We were not happy about it but we want to have a good time so we stayed. Scallops came totally cold!!! It never happened before, but we kept cool and continue trying to enjoy our night. My husband’s steak medium well when he cut it to check it seamed ok, but as soon as we started eating more he realized it was. We just eat medium rare. My steak was burned outside. We usually asked to be blackened, but mine was definitely cold. After that we just asked to talk to the manager, explained about the seating situating and his answer surprised us!!! According t him: «Valentine’s day is always a stressful day for the restaurant and that the seats is just the way it is, you can not choose where to seat. I do not wan to be here, I would prefer to be at my house.» Really? Did you just say that? So rude. Sheesh!!! In a couple of times we talked to the manager there, they were all fantastic, friendly and went beyond our expectation, but that last one was such a disappointment. I was planning in writing a review about this place for years, and I always thought it would be 5 stars, However the very last experience was horrible, worthy of a 1 stars, so I guess the better way to balance a little is a 2 stars rating. I am going back there tonight for a friend’s birthday and I hope my experience is better since the last time:) Still excited to be there though

Daniel’s Broiler is a traditional steak house that is located on the 21st floor in Bellevue place. Expect spectacular views along with steaks that are perfectly seared on both sides using their broiler. It’s another great restaurant in the Bellevue area. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — You must take a special elevator to the 21st floor of Bellevue Place. Upon exiting you’ll find rich, dark woods along with intimate, dim lighting. There’s a lounge for casual walk-ins, and there are several private rooms for large parties. Of course, being on the 21st floor allows for some amazing views around Bellevue. 1 Star. Service — Excellent knowledge of the menu and quality service are two things you’ll expect to find. The only slight annoyance was that our server urged us to order tons of appetizers and starters. Knowing we would over order, we finally just kept repeating no politely until he finally got it. Not a big deal honestly, just a tip. They did allow us to itemize our bill, which can be a challenge. Like I said, they are experts. 1 Star. Food — So what’s so special about a broiler? The oven allows chefs to sear both sides of the meat to lock in the juices and flavor. The result? As long as you don’t add toppings, you’ll end up with a pure, well-marbled steak whose flavors are released as you cut into your steak. I think they only season with salt & pepper, to allow the beef to really shine. While I’ve previously enjoyed their rib eye cut, I have recently taken a liking to their Daniel Cut Filet, which is a tender 10 oz. filet. Now, I’m from Texas, so we have plenty of great steak houses. Daniel’s would certainly rank as high. But of course, quality does come at a price so expect $ 100/pp. if you’re drinking wine or alcohol. 1 ½ Stars. Will I Return? — Only if I’m taking someone who has never been. Don’t get me wrong, Daniel’s is superb quality. I just can’t afford it on ever visit. However, it’s certainly one of the places I would choose if I wanted to share the experience with someone who has never been. ½ Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.
