Happy hour is the greatest deal in town, with a great menu with delicious food options. The only reason for the 4 star review is the time it took to wait for a seat to open up in the bar area. Would be great if they honored the happy hour in the main seating area.

Giving a 2 for the taste of the steak only. Went there for lunch and ordered my steak medium. Came out plenty quick enough, smelled yummy. Cut into it and it was cold rare. The plates are really hot, so I flipped it over on the plate, server came, asked how it was and I advised it was a bit undercooked. She apologized and took it back. Steak returned, I had already cut into it. Now it was warm rare. I asked her what she would call it, she said medium rare. Then that I should just cut it up and put it on my plate. So once I finished cutting my steak up and cooking it myself it was good. Guess next time I will just do it at home. Probably won’t be as good but at least I can get it cooked.

Came in with my bf spontaneously at 830pm on a Wednesday for a little celebratory dinner which we didn’t plan. We were dressed casually and therefore sat in the lounge as opposed to the dining room. Our waiter greeted us and told us about the happy hour and got our drinks started. I think he expected us to wait and order only off the less expensive happy hour menu bc apparently it’s the talk of the town and tons of people frequent Ruth’s Chris just for its HH. We certainly would have tried it had it been past 9pm but as it was still a half hour before happy hour and we were quite hungry, we decided to just order steaks off the dinner menu. And we are so glad we did! My New York strip was fabulous, prepared medium well. Juicy and had great flavor and served super hot in butter. And his well marbled ribeye Oscar style was fantastic, super hot and flavorful, also prepared medium well. I fell in love with good steak all over again after trying his piece. Potatoes augratin and shoestring fries were good as usual. We didn’t have any appetizers but we did have multiple patron and Hennessy shots and a beer which were all reasonably priced for a steakhouse. Service was excellent — out server, a young-ish tall blond gentleman was courteous and attentive. We have been wanting to come in here since our Ruth’s Chris dinner in Hawaii last summer. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back. Side note, bathrooms were superbly clean which is the standard at nice restaurants but I just happen to appreciate super clean restrooms that are easily accessible.

My review is for the Crème brulee. I keep coming back for this delicious dessert. They have the best one ever.

Bottom line: the food was very good(between 4 and 5 starts), however the service was quite poor(2⁄5 starts). We went there with two children. The waiter totally forgot about their dishes, and they had to eat from ours. There are no decent choices for kids, so definitely overall it’s not a kids friendly restaurant(as it is indicated in Unilocal). As to the adult food itself: The steaks were great, but the overall service was very slow and inefficient(for example, it took the waiter 15 minutes to bring us the dessert menu). Overall, we had a disappointing experience.

My boyfriend and I came here last night for dinner for New Year’s Eve. In my last review I had mentioned that our food didn’t come out as quickly and the time it took to get our check/card back(as I was comparing to the Seattle location), but last night everything went smoothly. The customer service here is always wonderful. Not to mention it was a holiday so things can either go really bad or good. Last night went perfect. We came about 20mins early and were seated within a few minutes which is definitely a bonus because we didn’t have to wait until exactly the time we had reservations. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She checked on us a few times and made sure that we got everything we needed and made sure everything was going good. She got our order, food, check, and card back in a timely manner.(Way better than the last few times we have came here!) The complimentary bread was warm and good as always. From the time we ordered our food and the time we received it, it came out in a good timely manner.(Faster than I expected and the fastest it ever has at this location). And being that it was a holiday, I was very impressed with the service and speed our food came out. My boyfriend and I both got the filet and it was delicious as always! It was cooked to perfection. We’ve came here a few times before and needless to say, last night’s experience was the best out of the times we have came here before.

I’m torn because I had a very good lunch and bar experience here, but my dinner at Ruth’s Chris was disappointing. We had a big dinner party for a friend’s birthday and they had thoughtfully put 3 tables together in a semi-private area, which was perfect for the occasion. I understand that mistakes happen, but when paying $ 70+ for a meal(before taxes and tips), there’s an expectation of a certain level of quality and experience, and also an expectation to gracefully recover from said mistakes. Strike 1: My boyfriend and I ordered the petite filet with shrimp. Mine came out perfect: well seasoned, well grilled shrimp with two juicy, medium filets with just a bit of pink in the middle. His came out underwhelming: pale, undercooked shrimp with dry, medium-well filets with no pink at all in the middle. Someone else on our table also remarked that their steak was more well done and drier than expected. It was still edible, but disappointing. On a more positive note, we ordered the crab cake appetizer to split, which was DELICIOUS and I would definitely order that again. Strike 2: My beef was with the service(ha ha, punny). Service was slow and inconsistent. Our drinks sat empty for long periods of time, but at the end of our meals, shit suddenly got wrapped up into to-go boxes real fast and plates were cleared at the speed of light. I think it was partially because we had such a big party and they had several different servers working the tables, so things understandably got confusing. It took a while to get everyone’s orders, but the appetizers came out fast. After a pleasant meal and a nice time catching up with our friends, they brought us the check, which they had so thoughtfully separated out. Strike 3: It took a while to get our check and even longer to run our cards. My boyfriend and I were the last two people to get our cards back, long after everyone else. Other guests in our party had already started leaving, and our server was still MIA. It was embarrassing to have our friends wait for us while we waited for our cards to be run. I eventually walked up to another server to see if she knew where our server could be, but she only assured us that she’s confident that our server would return soon, as if we ever thought that she forgot and had possibly gone home. I was hoping she would say, «Oh sometimes the credit card machine is glitchy» or «We only have two credit card machines and since it’s closing time, there’s probably a bit of a backup, sorry.» When our server finally returned, she didn’t offer an explanation for the long delay. This is one of those times when excuses are most welcomed! Please tell us anything, any white lies will do. The dog ate your credit card machine? I’d be okay with that. The next day, I noticed 3 pending charges from Ruth’s Chris on my card for 3 different amounts. I can’t even…

Came for happy hour around 5:20ish…hand to wait for about 20 mins before being seated. You can park at the Bellevue mall parking lot. Friendly service, happy hour menu is limited but the food tasted really good :3 We ordered 3 beers(2 coors and 1 manny), spicy Thai styled drumettes, beef tenderloin something, and the burger and fries. Sorry can’t remember the exact names, but you will be able to find it from the 8 items listed haha. The food was very yummy and arrived in a reasonable amount of time! Tenderloin was so tender and flavorful!!! Burger very juicy, fries were seasoned nicely and crunchy! The drumettes were delicious as well, aside from the fact it was a bit gingery-which is not bad, but my hubby didn’t enjoy it as much. It was nice that the waitress let guests/diners know when it’s the last call for happy hour items. The prices were very reasonable for happy hour, although I don’t know if I would pay the full prices for it. A quite place, can be quite romantic :) and you can walk off all the food at the mall! The items we ordered was more than plenty to fill us up! Which I was quite surprised actually… Would return again :)

I reeeeaaaalllly wanted to love this place. My wife and I are huge steak fans and have tried all the local high end steak joints. We finally made our way in to Ruth’s Chris by way of reservation although when we got there, even though it was a Friday night, we didn’t really need one. No wait which surprised me at 7PM. The service was great. Everything from the hostess calling our name and sending us up the stairs to meet our second host, and then our server recommending wine and sizzling the food. The service in our experience this one night was exceptional. Perfect ambiance for an expensive steak joint as well. I went with the Filet Mignon and shrimp entrée while my wife got the NY Strip. The best I can tell you was that it was«good». That’s it. Good. My shrimp was the favorite part of my meal and this is a steak joint. The filet was good sized for a combo entrée and my wife’s strip was adequate as well. The taste was not as good as comparable steak joints unfortunately and the price is not consistent with the competitive quality. Our final bill for 2 entrees, 2 sides(must order these separately which is fine), and 2 Manny’s drafts, 2 vodka sodas, and 1, $ 20 glass of Château St. Michelle Red Blend totaled $ 245 after 18% tip. I’ve paid half this for a superior steak at numerous comparable steak joints and to think a local red blend costs $ 20 per glass is a stretch. Very expensive dinner experience for a very average dinner. 3 stars because of the service.

Delicious meal, very good service, but at this price there are better steak houses. Ok I have been wanting to try Ruth Chris for a while and this is what I found… We went during lunch and opted to sit in the bar so I could watch Sport Center. We were met immediately by our waiter/bartender. Water and drinks came out quick and then we placed our order. The wife ordered steak and shrimp, I ordered the steak, crab cake and chicken breast trio. Shortly after we sat down another couple sat at the bar and their meal came out before us. Although they ordered a salad and a burger. Needless to say nothing was said to us why our meal was taking longer until I made a comment about them having to catch the chicken.(I was trying not to be a jerk) Our nice waiter informed us then that it was the chicken that was taking longer. ?? So the food was very good, except for the steak. We both ordered medium and the wife’s was closer to medium well and my little 4oz steak was at least medium well if not well. Isn’t this place a steak house! Come on guys! Anyhow the crab cake and shrimp were good and the stuffed chicken was amazing, but here is the rub, If I am paying 27 – 30 dollars per plate for lunch then it better be perfect. If the prices were half this then I would have no reason to complain. So overall a good experience and good food, but at this price I would rather go to the Metropolitan Grill or John Howie’s.

I’ve been here three times and each time has be just delicious. We’ve sampled most of the food on the happy hour bar, with standouts being the ahi tuna and the BBQ shrimp. The burger is a huge steal at $ 7, and really well cooked and flavorful… although it did require a sprinkle of salt from me. It comes with a generous portion of fries as well, but the problem I had is my hatred of ketchup. They didn’t really have more dipping sauces besides that and some salad dressing and a nice house dip would be my suggestion. Steaks are delicious and tender, meats are good… blah blah blah. The standout for me is the seafood salad at lunch. Big chilled shrimp, a good chunk of real dungeoness crab, and a lovely salad dressing that I kind of want to dip my fries in oops. Drinks are good and strong, well drinks are only $ 4.50…try an amaretto and Sprite if you like sweet.

This is an odd space for a premium steak place, very different feel to it. I wandered in to find my cohorts in the bar for HH. They were crammed into this tiny table and looked really uncomfortable. As soon as I arrived, they said, let’s head to our table. We walked up a couple flights of stairs to our table in the dining room, but were asked if we wanted to use the elevator. Staff was friendly and he went out of his way to be helpful. We all went with ribeyes, with varying degrees of doneness. I did ask for rare, but mine was almost blue. Bah, I didn’t want to return and delay everyone else. We were told the sides were enough to share, so we split some stuff to cut the richness. They ended being not huge, but too much for one person to take out. It was a solid meal, but not as good as the one downtown. I get the premium price but it didn’t grab me as much as my experience at the one in the city was. That was worth it. This one seemed a little lesss.

Boyfriend and I have had 2 very different experiences at the bar here. the only thing that remained the same was that we both drank a little… too much??? ok, more so me than him, but whatever. first experience was happy hour after work. the bar was, understandably, very busy. Our food, especially the happy hour burger with fries were delicious! Such a good deal too! However, the bartender was super grumpy that day. It totally ruined my buzz. I tried to be as polite and friendly as possible, especially because I’ve worked in the restaurant industry in the past, but there was no budging with this guy. I wanted to get out of there A-SAP. The second experience was a lot more underwhelming, but definitely a more positive one. Boyfriend and I were there on the 4th of July, and the bar was empty. our bartender this time around was a LOT nicer and so easy to get a long with. I realize that being super busy without much help can ruin someone’s mood while working… but come on… am I really paying for drinks and food and THEN tipping you to be a sourpuss? get it together, man. remind me to never go during happy hour again, or try to find the second bartender to serve us next time around.

I’m a fan of their happy hour for many reasons. The food selection is great, there are a variety of choices to select from. The hours are not off, it’s perfect for going after a long afternoon of shopping. The location is perfect, right by the mall parking. There are options for seated dining as well as bar seating. The service is ok. This review is only for the happy hour and I’ve tried it several times.

Went to HH last Monday night around 9:30P. Service was good and attentive. Ordered a Cheeseburger and fries, glass of the house red wine(Merlot) and the Seafood Gumbo. Food was very disappointing. the Cheeseburger was tasty, but served luke warm. the Fries were nothing to write home about, served cold. McDonald’s fries are better! The Seafood gumbo was served in a large extremely shallow bowl and was sold. You could taste seafood, but couldn’t find any in the bowl, I wouldn’t recommend ordering it. All and All that experience was very disappointing, especially for a high end Steak house. I won’t be going there again any time soon. Too bad because I have visited there a couple of times for HH and the food was very good. Prices are average for HH in the area.

5:30 on a Friday: 5 minute wait to get 2 seats at the bar. Sweet! I love that they have a line where you wait to be seated. Their happy hour menu offers a wide variety: ½ lb cheeseburger, seared ahi tuna, honey Thai chicken drumettes, barbecued shrimp, beef tenderloin brochettes — all $ 7 each. Caesar salad $ 5, French fries $ 3. Food arrived promptly. Bar person did not check in to see if we’re OK. We were notified of last call for happy hour. Efficient service but definitely not welcoming. Caesar salad was fresh. Dressing was delicious and just enough. Seared ahi tuna was beautifully plated. I would order both again. When salad arrived I asked for freshly ground black pepper. The server motioned to the second bar person who grabbed a pepper mill and proceeded to vigorously grind pepper. I felt as if I was being a huge nuisance. All in all, the food is top notch: 5 stars. Customer service: zero.

Came here for my grandfather’s 90th birthday. We reserved a space for 12 people; a private room on the second floor, complete with our own server and two other servers to help. Some of us arrived early and our server Johnny made sure we were very well informed on some easy ways to make the dinner go smoothly… ordering appetizers for the table… insisting we get a bottle or two of wine(we didn’t)…things like that. I wish they would have told us we would have a room when we made the reservation, then we would have gotten there earlier and spruced up the large room with balloons and such. APPETIZERS: — — Crab Cakes: LOVED the large pieces of meat in these. Seasonings were on point. — — Crab Stuffed Mushrooms: not great, pretty mushy and wasn’t crispy on top. — — Shrimp Cocktail: large shrimp with sauce on the side. — — Calamari: DIVINE, whatever sauce they topped it with was sweet and tangy with some red peppers. — — Ceaser Salad: I loved how the pieces we small enough to bot need a fork. The dressing wasn’t overdone and there was a good amount of fresh parmesean. — — French Onion Soup: DELICIOUS. DRINKS: — — My Cucumber Gimlet was on point!!! Just dry enough, with a lovely cucumber lemon twang, just the way I like it. — — My boyfriend asked if they had any Stout beers… they only had Guinness in a can… nothing else. At this point Johnny suggested a Pale Ale… which is odd because the two are completely different. Alright, time for the M E A T!!! — – Porterhouse Steak for Two: 40oz split, OHMYGOD what a slab of steak!!! We ordered it medium rare… three of the six pieces were cooked this way, the other half was RARE… not what we asked for. — – Lobster: my grandmother ordered it with her salad and it was mushy and didn’t have that«pop» that lobster is suppose to have. She sent it back and the second was much better. ******I think it’s amazing that they gave us very HOT plates with butter melted and then placed the meat on them. It sizzled and made us even hungrier. SIDES: — – Green Beans: buttery and perfectly crunchy, I could eat these on their own. — – Scalloped Potatos: YUMYUMYUMYUM. The cheese wasn’t too glob by and crispy; again, I could eat this on its own. — – Mashed Potatos: nothing special. Virtually no seasoning. I think Johnny was a tad bit overbearing… some of his explanations were lengthy and even at one point he said«okay, I’ll stop talking now.» He was very polite and kept positive the whole time. I will probably come back for HH because of how great my cocktail was and how much I keep hearing about their sliders. Thank you Ruth’s Chris for accommodating our huge family. I think just a few tweaks to the service and cooking techniques and it could be a five star.
