I contacted Hannah to ask her for a «Brazilian Blowout» (hair straightening) appointment in preparation for a long overseas trip. She said yes and gave me an appointment. When I went to see her, she said she doesn’t do Brazilian Blowout and she insisted that she had a similar service with very good results. I was disappointed because she failed to tell me so when I tried to get an appointment. She convinced me to do the other hair treatment. When she finished her service, I was shocked to learn that I wasn’t supposed to wash my hair until the next day. That day, I was invited to a formal dinner with my husband and I was embarrassed to show up at the dinner party with oily, dirty-​looking hair. Once again, she failed to give me crucial information before the service. I paid and left her salon disappointed at her lack of professionalism but hopeful that I would get the promised results the next day. When I washed my hair the next day, I was upset to see how dry it was and still curly. I had to use a flat iron to straighten it. Needless to say I felt ripped off. I contacted her and asked for a refund. She refused. I insisted so she said she would provide the service again at no cost, but never did. What a ripoff !!! Never again! I don’t trust her a bit.

I do not reccomend this salon it is extremly racist and has horrible time management. They told me that the salon was full on Saturday and scheduled a time for me on Sunday but when i arrived the salon was closed and when i called the woman didn’t so anything, it was very difficult as i was with my baby and had to make a trip in order to go there. Worker were very rude and irresponsible!

I purchased a living social deal and scheduled an apt with Hannah based on the Unilocal reviews. She was nice enough on the phone and we scheduled a Sunday cut and color– and I understood this was not the norm. ½ hr before the apt I called to give a reminder and after 15 minutes post our scheduled time, it was clear that nobody was going to show up. I called and left a 2^nd vmail expressing my disappointment– and 24 hours later, I never received a courtesy call or apology. I wish my fellow Korean businesses were more trustworthy and reliable, but since they are not, I will have to take my business elsewhere with my LS voucher.

I bought a groupon but never got to use it. They dont’ pick up the phone. I kept getting «This number is not accepting calls» or they hangup on me.
I knew something was fishy when I tried to make and appointment after I bought it and the woman who asked me if I already bought the Groupon. I think the answers changed when she discovered I did. First I couldn’t make an appointment on a weekend it had to be on the weekday during the day. Then I can’t only make an appointment with certain people on certain days. None of these terms were on the Groupon.

The owner quote me a price over the phone but she didn’t inform me that I would be paying extra for something she recommended so it took me by surprise. Make sure to specify the price before you start service.

I had Charlie cut and color my hair. He was friendly but unprofessional, complaining and gossiping to me about the manager on my first visit, leaving me feel uncomfortable — especially since the manager was walking around us in the tiny salon… The cut was 2 of 5 star — much shorter than I had asked (asked for a trim to grow my hair out) and a little lopsided. Color was horrendous (0 of 5) — completely fried my virgin hair and it had the tint slightly redder than an orangutan’s. Will not return.

I go here hands down for Hannah, best cut and color. I discovered her in high school but during my college years, I needed to save money and somewhere else. Worst. Decision. Ever. My hair was dry and lacked dimension. But this went on for a few years for college savings sake. Then I went to Vietnam to perm AND straighten my hair. Hannah nursed it back to life and even after moving to NYC, I come back during the holidays for her amazing skills.

I literally left this salon in tears! I am completely unsatisfied with my haircut! I am not sure as to how wonderful the other hairdressers are in the salon, but I dislike the quality and work done by the gentlemen named «Harrison». I told him from the start that I wanted a LITTLE bit of layers and not for him to just THIN my hair with a razor. All this man did was take a hair razor to my head and thinned it out like crazy. He cut my hair going at 100mph, was rough, showed little attention to detail and now my hair looks way shorter, 100% thinner and it looks like dog hair. I have never been so upset after a hair cut before! If you like thin hair with lots of layers, Harrison is the one for you. I wish I had never sat in this gentleman’s salon chair and I wish I did not pay the 30 bucks. If I knew he was going to butcher my hair the way he did, I would have paid the extra 100 bucks to go to a more professional salon. Now I get to play the waiting game, for my hair to grow back!
200% unsatisfied and UPSET! Refund please!!! :(

I only used Charlie (a Korean guy) in this Salon, and I’m very happy with the haircut he gave. I have been his customer for almost a year (He used to work in Who Hair Biz). My experience is: you won’t get impressed when you get the haircut done, but after you wash your hair, and with very little maintain/​styling, you’d like your hairstyle.

Hmm let’s see… I’ve been here two times now. The first time I got a haircut from a Korean guy in his late 20’s and he did a OKAY job. After a couple of months my hair grew out and I didn’t want to go far for a haircut so I decided to try this place again. This time I had a person called Hannah. Maybe she was a little off today (seeing as the person under me LOVES Hannah) but I think this was one of my worst haircuts. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it didn’t turn out to be like the picture at all. There wasn’t a lot of attention to detail either… I’m willing to drive a little bit farther for a decent haircut that’s actually worth $ 25.

Oh I love Hannah! Best hairdresser in terms of friendliness and consistency. Never pressures you to buy anything at the same time would be very flexible about scheduling if needed to re-​schedule. She’s awesome!
