Lol, fish bowls. I gave this place 5 stars, because I’m just so glad that there is a place out there like this. Yes, we all love the music — but not many places dedicate themselves to it. I’m going to head back and try the karaōke one day. The crowd is a pretty big range of the people that used to actually be there when this music came out, and youngins that probably heard this music from their parents. Good people, good fun.

Came here on a Wednesday night. They have 80s karaōke. Fun. However. Not much of a crowd and the bar smelled moldy. Plus you can’t hear the singers. The kj is oblivious to the fact that the mic is not working. Too busy sitting at a table eating. #gosomewhereelse

By far the best club I’ve been to in a long time. Great 80’s music, good atmosphere, good dance floor. There’s a $ 10 cover charge and drinks are reasonably priced and it’s definitely a good place to celebrate with friends. There’s a great karaōke room if you prefer to sing to your favorite 80’s songs. The karaōke DJ is very nice and he has a huge selection of music. The crowd is very nice.

Where do I even begin… I’ve been here multiple times and each time I never want to leave! I’m a huge fan of the 80s everything from the décor to the non stop 80s music blasting is like a dream! The themed food and drinks is just the cherry on top. I recommend the purple rain drink, so refreshing and delicious and still strong, thumbs up to the bartender! They just got flatbread pizza added to the menu, trust me get the buffalo chicken! Saw flashpants here and they are so awesome. They play awesome music in general nothing but the 80s baby! I wish I woulda remembered my waitress, she was a cute, sarcastic funny blonde, totally great and awesome, shout out to her ! This place is great to eat, drink, dance and be in the 80s all night long !

Looked around for a place to take my husband dancing and found this place on Google so we decided to try it out. It’s a hole in the wall kind of place(our kind of place) and we had a blast! The bartenders and the staff are great and both my husband and I enjoyed it so much that we’ve decided to become repeat visitors to this place. Looking forward to coming back and dancing the night away to only 80s music. :D

I give this place 0 stars!!! They water the shit of there alcoholic. I had 5 of there $ 5 margaritas and I’m still sober! My boyfriend on the other hand 6+ beers, together we had there patron coffee and patron jolly ranchers shots. Yes the drinks are cheap but unless your drinking beer you won’t get buzz or your money’s worth. And I just ordered a straight patron shot and two beer it came to $ 24. With the drink special for cinco de mayo $ 3 beers extra that means I’m shot was $ 18!!! Wtf!!!

Great place to have a birthday, great place to celebrate life. Management is very receptive to concerns. They care about their people. They always take care of me and my friends. I’m very grateful. Best 80s club in Southern California!!!

There is a long story here, but my number 1 complaint is about a racist regular named Michael who goes by the name Benzo, many customers have told me that he bothered them and I will not be returning. If I can get a hold of management I will write them a detailed letter about this guy. They lost a fun and jolly customer last night…

I absolutely LOVE coming here. The atmosphere is really down to earth so I always have a great time with friends! The band’s are close up and personal, and the drinks are priced right. The food is way better than I expected for a bar it actually lives up to being a restaurant too. I would suggest coming early though because it does get full quickly.

I’ll start off by saying that I am a HUGE David Bowie fan. I went last night for a Bowie tribute band, and honestly they were SO great! My review might be a little biased because of that, but anyway. I had a great night! The music(obviously all 80s) really gets everyone dancing — it’s so fun! I’ll be honest though… it is an especially older crowd, but I guess that’s expected being that the theme is new wave/80s. The bartenders are really nice though, and really great even when this place gets super busy, which it usually does. The bar itself is really small, and seating is very limited. If you do happen to snag a stool, security takes it once it gets crowded and forces you to stand, or dance ;) I don’t eat beef, so I ordered their Veggie Burger for the first time last night. It was SO delicious! I was a little scared I might get a questionable veggie patty, but was way pleased when I saw an amazing burger with an even more amazing portobello mushroom as the meat substitute. It was great! Each burger comes with a side too, I got their tater tots which were a little greasy, but no biggie. My bartender was Frank, he’s so super nice! Overall, this is a fun little spot to go to if you’re in an 80s mood!

Good, chill, divey bar. I came with my friend and cousin and saw mostly 30 year old + people here, even though the servers are young. It’s an 80’s music bar, so that’s understandable. I will come back when I’m feeling more 80’s. They have a little section to dance in too.

I wasn’t really impressed with this place. I came here with a girlfriend of mine to start our night out together. While the bartenders and bouncers were friendly, and the drinks were strong and relatively cheap, I felt a little out of place. When I go out, I go out in heels and a dress and makeup with my hair done. If I had a dollar for all of the judgmental, overweight, jealous GIRLS(not women, because women don’t act that way) who gave me a nasty look when I was standing at the bar or on the dance floor, I would not have had to pay for a single drink the entire evening. It is super irritating to me that I can’t look nice when I go out without being gawked at. I’m sorry you’ve given up on yourselves, but I haven’t. Take that negativity somewhere else! The people in this place totally ruin the fun atmosphere it’s supposed to have.

The New Wave Restaurant and Bar is eclectic and unique, with fluorescent walls featuring classic ‘80s-themes like Pac-Man and the Back to the Future DeLorean. All of the drinks and food menu items have ‘80s inspired names, like the Duran Duran rum drink and the Bird chicken sandwich. At about $ 7 each, they are relatively well-priced. I would avoid paying $ 20 for the cocktail combo that comes in an oversized cup. The one I was given had very little alcohol and was mostly a combination of different juices. Stick to more traditional drinks and you’ll be satisfied with their strength and prices. I went here on a Thursday night to see The English Beat play and was excited to find out how small the venue is. However, there were far too many people inside to truly enjoy the experience, as I was constantly bumping into those around me and having drinks spilled on my shoes. It was also standing room only, with no tables available for guests. Keep this in mind if you’re looking for a more intimate venue. The New Wave Restaurant and Bar is both a restaurant and a bar but is separated by a wall that severely limits the amount of space in each. If they eliminated this wall, there would be significantly more room for those enjoying the bar experience to stand, interact with other guests, and maneuver to the bar. Great service, though! The waitresses made it easy to get drinks despite the crowd. I would recommend coming here for a blast to the past and a good time.

My first time here, was there to see a live concert with an 80s band. Place had nice Decour and 80s retro paintings and pictures. I came in just before happy hour ended. I selected beer and nachos. The nachos were a bit spicy but they give you a large plate of it. The concert then started and the speakers were a bit too loud. But otherwise great show. I recommend this place if you love the 80s music and videos.

Okay, this place is out in the boonies, and PARKING is difficult, not to mention the place has a DIRTY feel to it. If you choose to wait in the restaurant part of it on the right, it is loud, and the music playing does not match the videos playing, so it is very confusing at times. A GIANT $ 20 goblet on neon lighted drinks with such names as PURPLEREIGN and other 80’s song themed titles await you, if you can endured the sensory overload?! The entire place is NEON dayglo themed. Should you choose to walk through the main room, and God forbid you want to set you drink on the bar, you will quickly be told you CANNOT do that! Which leaves you walking around with a cold drink in your hand and no place to set it down, as the few talk tables are generally taken and just not enough to go around. I saw MISSINGPERSONS there and yes, I was right up there able to touch the band if I needed to. But overall, that was the only highlight, because everything else at this bar(location, parking, lack of tables, loudness, etc etc) left way too much to be desired. I wish they would seriously revamp this heavily, as it could be something good.
