I love visiting Doug and doing all my jewlery work with him. He is very nice and professional. My husband and I bought my beautiful wedding band from him. He told me to come by anytime I’m in Belmont center to get it cleaned and I take him up on it! I highly recommend Doug as your jewler especialy if you want a person touch

I took a ring of mine to Marcou Jewelers to have it appraised a couple of weeks ago. Doug took a great amount of time and care appraising my ring even though my husband had not purchased it there, and you could tell that he was very knowledgeable as far as diamonds go. Aside from his wonderful selection and his extensive jewelry knowledge, he is also a pleasure to talk to. We will be going to Marcou jewelers from now on, no question!

Doug Marcou is not only a jeweler but he is a friend! He helped my husband design my engagement and wedding band there and the compliments are never-​ending. Doug made designing and choosing the right rings for us an exciting and stress free experience. His pieces are superior quality at affordable prices. My husband has also purchased various jewelry pieces for me.

We have been dealing with Doug Marcou for the last ten years and have never been disappointed. Marcou jewelers lives up to its reputation for excellent service, top notch quality, and fair prices. I have watched Doug treat every customer in his store with the utmost respect and care, whether he is changing a battery or purchasing a diamond engagement or wedding ring. Doug always does his utmost to satisfy his customers as he recognizes that repeat customers are his best source for future sales. Doug will honestly assess whether work is needed on existing jewelry and what grade diamonds are appropriate. His prices are comparable to Blue Nile and the large local jewelry store so a small store still means good value

I have never purchased jewelry here, but I have had several items, including watches, repaired. Most work is done at their shop, which is not on the Belmont premises, but it is always impeccable. Mr Marcou is friendly, kind, and very honest about his prices. He understands the importance of both monetary and sentimental value, when it comes to repair and refurbishment, and he always tries to give you exactly what you want. I can’t speak about any of their other locations, but the shop in Belmont is top-​notch.

Although we have not yet purchased rings from Doug of Marcou Jewelers, first impressions count. His little shop is charming with a beautiful selection of jewellery, especially diamonds. He has impeccable taste and a great wealth of knowledge as a second generation jeweller. He was on a call when I walked in but quickly made himself available, sized my ring finger and offered flexibility in meeting times and no pressure sales tactic. He is a true gentleman!

My Husband an I purchased my Diamond and Wedding Band from Marcou Jewelers. My daughter and her fiancé 30 years later have also purchased her diamond from Marcou Jewelers. I am hoping Doug Marcou will never retire so that my grandchild can also purchase her diamond from Marcou Jewelers. I think that the quality of fine jewelery that Marcou Jewelers sells to the public is the best and that you really could not do any better than Marcou Jewelers. I totally believe in the saying you get what you pay for and cheaper is not always better. If I could give Marcou Jewelers 100 stars I would give them 100 stars they are number 1 in my books now and forever. When going to a store for as long as I have been going to Marcou Jewelers you get to know the person well. I am grateful to have Marcou Jewelers in Belmont and Doug Marcou as my jeweler.

I was very disaponted today when I walked into Marcou for the first time at this location. The man behind the counter was chatting with a customer and didn’t even look over to aknowledge my presence until he was done chatting about the local happenings with what appeared to be a regular customer. Finally after she left, I asked him if he carried watch batteries and he said he did. I wanted to buy a loose one for an inexpensive watch that I could pop it into myself. He said he would «ONLY» charge me $ 10.00 (and mind you he wasn’t even going to install it.) I said I’m sorry but I think thats more than I want to spend-(seriously, these batteries cost about .50 cents or less in bulk) He said that’s the price since I have rent to pay… I get it, but that was a bit ourageous especially since he wasn’t even going to install it himself. So I drove to a jeweler across town over who sold me the battery for $ 1.50, greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. First impressions are lasting ones and know I won’t be doing business at Marcou.

We bought our engagement and wedding rings from Doug, he is super nice and very informative. The jewelry in his store is beautiful! We are very happy we went here. A little pricey… But then again, we are talking wedding rings…
