This is our go to place for breakfast, but lunch is just as tasty! Food is delicious, staff is friendly, and we never wait to long. Small little homely restaurant

New to town and I gave this place three chances; results progressively worse each time. Food is often cold, service very sporadic, and they never seem to get the order right. I’m sure they are nice people, but FFS trying to enter an order correctly on their cell phones(yup, that’s how they roll) is asking for mistakes. At least offer to remedy the mistake… nope, that didn’t happen either.

Not worth the hype… Are they good for groups? Kind of. Is their food good? Not really. Are their prices fair? No. We went for breakfast with family, and on my ticket we had 2 adults and 2 young kids(who split a kids meal). Without ordering anything extravagant, we walked out spending over $ 30. In my book, that’s not acceptable. For a Denny’s quality breakfast, I expect the price to match. There’s a HUGE difference between making something ‘homemade’ and heating something from a box /mix, like pancakes. And, they’re obviously experiencing some confusion deciphering between the two…(As are the rave reviews for the ‘delicious home cooked food’.) The service was good at first, but once we received our food the waitress was non-existent while we had missing items and needed boxes /refills later on. The entire check was also rung up incorrectly and everyone in our party had incorrect items on their tickets that turned out to be a major hassle to correct. It was honestly one of the most lackluster and boring dining experiences I’ve ever had. If I return, it definitely won’t be at my request.

You know… I used to really love me some Fry’s!!! Elegant? Not at all. FUN and OLDSCHOOL-HOMELYDINER-ESQUE? Ohhhh yeah. It’s A LITTLEINCONSISTENT and often, REGULARLY, THEYHAVEANITEMORTHEYAREOUTOFIT, or IT’S BEENTAKENOFFTHEMENU and you only learn of this when you’re craving it most.!! Noooo big deal, just take what they give you and simmer down. Other than this, the waitresses are VERYFRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING, I do really like the breakfast slop they throw in front of you. Some good, good eatin’!! You’re cholesterol and belt will hate you, but your stomach will thank you. Yes sir.!!

Stopped by Fry’s to meet a friend of mine for breakfast on my way to San Antonio. It’s right off of the highway so it was the perfect place to stop and grab a bite to eat, however, if you’re driving too fast or if you blink… you might miss it! Fry’s is a simple, local spot with an old country feel to it. The restaurant is modest in size, however you can still bring a nice group of people in and be comfortable with the seating arrangements. The restaurant is clean along with the restroom(two stars for this, lol). They have an all-day menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Everything on the menu looked pretty good, avocado burritos, chicken fried steak, etc. I ordered the ham, egg and cheese croissant and it was perfect. A nice think layer of eggs, sliced ham and melted cheese were the perfect meal — and a bonus hash browns come with it! It was a great ‘on the road’ meal because I didn’t feel too bloated or stuffed afterwards. Fry’s was the perfect place for a quick breakfast and impromptu gift exchange spot, lol!

Me and a friend went to this location for a dinner and the experience left much to be wanted. The staff were always talking to each other and not us. When we asked for helped they seemed as if we were interrupting them. For one I have to say when your at work your there to work. Also the food came out after about 20 minutes so that was not bad at all. The food however tasted like year old grease. There was a coat of freeze that layered the food and plate. I would have to not recommend this place for anyone in the area. There are so many other choices in the nearby areas.

Why does this place not have 5 stars?!? Best home cooked food, large portions, great value, and friendly. We make it a habit to stop in regularly.

The best breakfast food and mashed potatoes in Belton, hands down. Too be fair nothing we’ve had here is disappointing and is good home cooking. This is not a fancy place so snobs stay away. But if you want good chicken fried steak from friendly folks this is the place for you. They take your order on their iPhones so they aren’t «texting» while you are ordering as another reviewer implied. :)

We were desperate for a real, home cooked breakfast and found Fry’s in Belton. I had the French toast breakfast with bacon and eggs. It was delicious and served hot from the kitchen. My husband had the bacon omelette that he said was perfect with bacon just the right crispness.(not burned) The waitresses were friendly and kept filling our coffee cups. I have not had lunch here, but breakfast is great! All that was missing was the old guys that usually sit around cafes and drink coffee while talking about the«good old days.» Give them a try!

When Fry’s first opened, the prices, service & food was great! We ate there all of the time and recommended to everyone. However, the only reason we go there now, is because they are the only diner food in town, if you don’t want pizza, fried chicken or Mexican Food they are your only option. If they had some competition, they would have to up there game. Their hamburgers & sandwiches use to come with sides, now sides, even chips, are $ 1.99 additional but hamburger and sandwich prices are the same if not more. What get’s us the most is their no substitution policy, if you wont eat something that happens to come on the plate, it’s just tough, they will leave it off, but will not substitute regardless if it is equal or lesser value.

One of few places where the food feels genuine, cooked seconds before getting to your table, and fresh. The prices are fare and you can have a nice meal for less than other places. I recommend it to anyone.

The place is dirty and dingy. Walked in and was unsure but tried it out, ordering what I believed to be a simple meal that no place could mess up. It was a 20 minute wait for our food. Two bites and I was done. My wife only made it a little more through her meal. We were never checked on after ordering by our waitress who was rude and was checking her phone while we were ordering. I do not recommend.

First time there, great experience other than getting my salad WITH my meal. 2nd time there, service was bad, got my salad AFTER I finished my meal! Today I requested my salad before my meal, barely got it before. She dropped our meal off and never saw her again. She was more concerned about writing the daily special perfectly on the board. We both needed drink refills, but she never came by again despite us leaving our empty glasses at the edge of the table to be seen. Will not back and will tell others to steer clear.

I heard good things about this place. All the waitresses seem like there on top of things. I ordered the Fry’s breakfast. I was very specific about how I wanted my eggs. I hate runny whites. I jokingly told the waitress that it grossed me out. Well they came out super running to the point that the whites were clear. Nasty. :-) I showers it to her. She apologized and offered to replace them. I declined. I don’t like to send food back. She said that was the 2nd complaint and that she would let the kitchen know. The person with me had the classic cheeseburger and it looked really good.

1st visit and what an awful experience… dirty tables, dirty restrooms, and the wait for food was 45 minutes!!! Frustration abounded & the food was disappointing. I must say though that the wait staff was friendly.
