Pretty good No complaints. I really wanted a pork chop. Theirs is served with a balsamic reduction, mashed and fresh zucchini. Pork chop was a good size and tasty. I also got the butternut squash ravioli as an appetizer with the brown butter. Very fresh and good. Ill definately come back.

Once there was a special that was gnocchi with Gorgonzola, and it was sooo amazing I always ask for the filet(also amazing) with that gnocchi! Last time chef came out to confirm, but this time just made it for me perfectly! Love this place! And love that the chef is so accommodating and the staff is so friendly :) now if they just had spumoni life would be perfect… but the zambaglione is hitting the spot!

I really like this place. I have been here several times because I love Italian food. I will say I was hesitant from the outside, but the food makes up for the lack of curb appeal. I have been to get Italian food in SF and Walnut Creek and each time my husband and I have said we like this place better. I love the pesto shrimp pasta and their bread with your sauce is SO good. My husband always get the chicken Alfredo and loves it. We always leave SO full. I will say there is only one or two servers at a time so you may have to be little patient, but the food is fired very very quick!

Very tasty. We started with the antipasti appetizer sampler, and it was a nice selection of items. Bruschetta, calamari, caprese salad. For dinner my date had the cannelloni and I had the mushroom risotto. Both were very tasty. Risotto was cooked well, and I had a taste of the cannelloni. Very filling food. Neither of us could finish. They serve authentic italian espresso, which was a nice end to the meal.

I seriously enjoy the food here. For me, one of the best local Italian restaurants. Try the osso bucco.

We have had several meals at this restaurant and they all have been excellent. Their calamari and pasta dishes are the best! We look forward to going back!

We ordered fettuccine chicken alfredo and fettuccine shrimp and pesto. Both were pretty good and tasty. Also enjoyed there bread and bruschetta I believe. I wasn’t expecting anything incredible and wasn’t too surprised when we were served, however I did enjoy my dinner and service. Servers were prompt and on top of things, and kept the place clean. i felt it was a nice touch to see the chef making his rounds ensuring everyone was satisfied. Good job guys.

This is a nice quiet litte restaurant in a small strip mall. Frankly, I never paid much attention to it due to its obscure location. Went there for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious and the service was quite good. We were impressed. I had the steak — very tasty and done right; I like it rare and many places don’t get it. My wife had the salmon and she enjoyed it. This is a nice small cozy place and much better than I expected it to be. We will return.

Will not go to this restaurant again! My friend and I came here for just a glass of wine. We’ve been here a few times before. After waiting for about 25 minutes(literally) for our cards back to pay, with no one else in the restaurant mind you, the waitress tells us their machine is down and asked us if we had cash to pay. We did not. The waitress then tried to write down our credit card numbers to run them later… I don’t think so! Sounds shady to me… She then demanded we come back later that day to pay the bill, which was around $ 10 for both of us! Absolutely ridiculous! Not going to happen! The worst part is 10 days later one of the owners(a female, can’t remember her name) came into my place of employment demanding the money! How unprofessional is that?! Over $ 10?! Not my problem you don’t know how to run a business properly! What should have been done was to properly train your staff to inform customers cash only BEFORE seating them. Poor customer service if you ask me. Will not return.

You gotta go! FOODANDSERVICE … OUTSTANDING! We started with the warm focaccia bread straight from the oven and the fresh delicious tomato garlic sauce mmmmmm, I ordered the Capellini al Gambara… angel hair pasta, large prawns, garlic, fresh herbs, roasted bell pepper, capers and spinach in a creamy white wine and orange lobster sauce, AMAZING

Cute little restaurant in Benicia. The staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was very cute, well decorated. It can accomodate groups. The food was served promptly. The marinara sauce and bread they serve as you wait was delicious. They have a large menu of different pastas and all reasonably priced. The portions for the pastas is nicely sized, it’s not overwhelming and they definitely give a good amout. I would come back.

Loved the atmosphere of this place. Everyone was very welcoming but almost seemed unsure of themselves, almost like they were expecting something bad to happen. The mushroom polenta was AMAZING!!! I had the fettuccine Alfredo which is the only dish I order at an Italian restaurant. The noodles were a little under cooked and the dish tasted slightly bland but it was still good. We will continue to eat here as we love hole-in-the-wall restaurants and we liked the relaxed feeling of the place. Definitely worth at least one visit to try the mushroom polenta.

Enjoyed my dinner of lamb chops, roasted potatoes and sautéed vegetables. This wonderful dinner was topped off with raspberry cheesecake. What a treat it was for the chef to personally come to our table to ask if everything was satisfactory. It was by far more than satisfactory. It was fantastic!!’

What a horrible experience – never to be repeated, after about a year of regular visits. And what a shame, as the waitresses there are friendly and helpful. For the second time, they were out of the tapenade. Only this time they were out of focaccia too! THEN, the«Caesar salads» came. I knew right away they were weird. The lettuce looked dark and wet and there was a big pile of some soft cheese crumbed on top – not Parmesan. The dressing was the worst – like sour cream with a bit of lemon? Not Caesar at all. We sent them back. They came back, exactly the same. Woe to him, my partner ate one, but I couldn’t handle it. The waitress was sweet about it, and removed the salads from the bill, but that hardly made up for a crappy dining experience. The lasagna was OK, but the sauce tasted more of tomato soup than a real tomato sauce. What is going on with this place? Despite a few past disappointments here, we’ve never experienced such a bizarre disaster. And it was a special dinner for my sweetie, as a gift for some hard work he did for me. Finally, the kiss of death for any restaurant – intestinal disaster right after we got home! I’ll say no more.

On Monday night 1÷14÷13, my husband and I were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. He ordered Filet Mignon medium. It came out rare. He sent it back and it came back well done. I ordered scallops wrapped in pancetta(bacon) with mashed potatoes. Scallops were like rubber and mashed potatoes barely warm. I sent it back. We said we were done. The waiter gave us a bill us for our wine and salads until I said we have been coming to Buon Apetito for years and they really shouldn’t charge us anything. The waiter seemed embarrassed and we did not get charged We want to support local businesses but NOT when they provide a LOUSY product. We are not going back.

I came in here with a friend for dinner on a Friday evening. The place was not busy, there was probably 5 covers. The place and menu say«Authentic» italian cuisine, so I asked the young waitress what makes it «Authentic». Her reply was ” Umm, like my uncle who put this place together got someone who was like trained by an Italian chef”. I also asked what type of Italian cuisine it is, Northern, Southern? She could not answer that question. Her answer was«umm, just regular». Anyhow, we both had the penne ala vodka. No special drinks for us, we came to try the food. There was somewhat of a small wait and another waiter apologized for the wait. Although, with 5 covers, I couldnt see why there should be a wait. We were served our food and it was okay. They use pancetta in their recipe and we both thought it was a little too salty. Yes pancetta is salty but if you put too much then it gets too salty and it can take over the taste of the vodka sauce. Over all, there was nothing really special about the meal. I noticed accumulations of dust on things and on the ceiling around the ventilation. Our table was wobbly and we noticed that one of the wait staff sat down and conversed with some people. Our wait staff didn’t really have any enthusiasm.

I was a little unsure about this place when we first drove up, because of the curb appeal. It’s in hole in the wall in a shopping plaza, right next to Baskin Robbins. Our initial greeting wasn’t the best … wasn’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait for someone to seat us. Eventually the girl who was folding the table linen stopped to seat us. Our waitress was very hospitable, attentive and knowledgeable. The sauce that comes with the bread they bring is very yummy! My husband ordered the Carpaccio for an appetizer, which I thought was ok. I ordered the Conchiglie al Pollo and my husband ordered the Osso Buco di Agnello for our meals. Both were very tasty! For dessert we requested a Crema Cotta, but unfortunately they ran out. The waitress was nice enough to bring us a Tiramisu Originale, on the house. And I have to say, I’m not a huge fan of Tiramisu, but that was one of the better ones that I’ve had. Overall everything was good. I would go back again … but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Surprisingly good Italian in Benicia! Looks like a strip mall disaster but once inside it’s classier than you’d expect. More importantly, th food is consistently excellent. Each time we go we get a new favorite entrée. The salads are mostly good though we’ve had one fairlyiddlimg experience. The polenta fungi was great and the grilled chicken is perfectly cooked everytime. They have free and great herb slab bread with a tomato-garlic sauce/paste. But don’t fill up because you’ll want room for your entrees. The biggest surprise was the espresso(and desserts) were authentic and much better than the basken robins next door. The only bad part was the misleading sign — it makes the place seem so much less than it really is! Excellnt food and perfect and considerate service. Vastly superior to ALL the other Italian places in town.
