Everything about this place is wonderful. From the great café to the talented artists it’s a beacon of creativity in this up and coming area

We were here on a Saturday night for a friends improv stage production. It’s less of a building and more of an open air space with a roof. Which, the claustrophobic side of me loves. There was a guy selling bbq at the door and they allowed us to bring our own drinks in. It’s a bit of a follow the yellow brick road adventure, to find the restroom that doesn’t lock but is very clean. I never had trouble hearing the actors and the stage is properly elevated. Liquor store is next door and Nicks down the block. What more could you ask for? Awesome, fun venue for smaller performances.

I work for a non-profit and we love using the Firehouse Collective venues for program events. Tom and David are a pleasure to work with and the multiple spaces they have give us options that work with pretty much any activity we can imagine. Prices are good, the locations we have used are close to BART, and the spaces are versatile and welcoming. I highly recommend!

Hate the player not the game dude who gave this place one star. As a venue it’s an interesting place! there’s a door, and from the street it looks like a building. It has a roof but borrows a wall from a neighbor and has no back wall… so you get the outside feels without all the exposure(it was still a little chilly, but nothing compared to if you were standing on the street). It’s relatively small but there’s a nice stage area. I was here to see a friend perform while there was also a homemade fair going on(read: people selling home made cupcakes, jams, soap etc!). As far as the event goes, I was hoping to be able to buy dinner type food, but it was more grocery shopping style than eating dinner style. but whatever, I just didn’t really know what to expect.

Thank you for ruining my Saturday. Below is an excerpt of your so called«event» from SFGate: With stellar food vendors from all over the bay and all kinds of handmade renegade artisan offerings from locals it’s a party to bring your friends and family to enjoy every Saturday. See and meet who is happening now on the emerging art scene in the east bay. Are you kidding me? Was this some type of «performance art» and I totally missed the point? When someone says«renegade artisans» I expect — no I demand — to see people painting, sculpting things out of discarded trash, someone playing a lute, a nude guy reading poetry and a panoply of overpriced notions and other hastily thrown together crap that I’ll give to my friends and family as gifts because I am trying to be hip. What I found instead was a near vacant hall filled with NOTHING — a horrid jewelry booth, a spray painted bicycle, someone selling BBQ that had been cooked in an oil drum and really loud dance music emanating from an empty stage. WTF??? You’ve got some hand crafted brass balls to call this an emerging art scene as the only thing that emerged from this travesty was my anger and disgust.
