The plus side of the Hedgehog is that the ice cream is obviously homemade and some of the flavors are pretty tasty and pretty wacky. (Unless something has changed, they even provide the ice cream for Burgers and More at the Sands.) The downside is that the prices are a bit steep and the service at times is a bit snooty.(Owner included)(Show her a CC and she usually makes a face. If she doesn’t like them she shouldn’t accept them.) And that they only ever have maybe a dozen flavors at any time. So you probably will either like what they have and find something or you will turn your nose up at it. There really is no middle ground. The Hedgehog is worth a visit if you’re in downtown, just don’t expect to be blown away with what you get in relation to what it costs. The Cup is still the King for ice cream in Bethlehem.

Huge selection of homemade(and some not) ice creams. The young guys working at the counter were so cute and gave us generous samples to try. The flavors I sampled were amazing, and I went for the peanut butter and jelly ice cream on a PRETZEL cone! I’d never heard of such a thing, but it was great! Everyone needs to get a pretzel cone with their ice cream. The sweet and salty combo is very, very tasty. –1 star for no frozen yogurt.

My daughter likes this place a lot. They have little stuffed hedgehogs everywhere. Its a small quaint mom and pop style shop. The ice cream is quite creamy and good. However, when I asked for a coffee and sipped it, it tasted burnt. Come to find out it was roasted was back at 11 in the morning and had been sitting on the burner ever since. This was at 5pm, so basically they tried to serve me 6 hour old coffee. gross. Kids like this place, and the ice-cream is really good. If the coffee wasn’t brewed while you were their I would suggest not drinking it. Heavenly Hedgehog should stick to what they do best. ice cream.

Cute little ice cream shop in downtown Bethlehem. I ordered a Brooklyn Egg Cream, which is seltzer and U-Bets Chocolate Syrup-egg is optional. I ordered a large and received a cup of 1⁄3 soda/syrup and 2⁄3 of foam due to the mixing of seltzer and the syrup. It was literally 3 or 4 sips of drink in the cup. I complained that I felt I was getting ripped off and the person behind the counter said that that is what it is, so tough. I have had brooklyn Egg Creams at other places and the cup was FULL. The 4 sips set me back almost $ 3.00 Definitely overpriced and the owners are pompous, rude, snobby, aloof and elitists… Definitely won’t be going back.

A bit expensive, but totally amazing ice cream. The ice cream is very rich and creamy, which makes the price worth it. Definitely worth the price.

Pretty good ice cream. I came here last fall and they even had a seasonal flavor which actually had the lid still on the container because it was called«Dracula’s Weakness» or something along those lines… So of course I had to ask what it was… and yes, it was garlic ice cream. I LOVE garlic, but this was ehhhhh. I tried a sample and you could taste the delicious, sweet, creamy vanilla flavor… then a minced piece of garlic hits your tastebuds and wow… how appalling the ice cream became. Not my cup of tea. But I did get cookies and cream and it was yum yum. Only reason I haven’t been back is it’s location inside the Main Street Commons and I don’t often walk around Main Street. Definitely check it out if you need dessert in the area!

I had the Chocolate /Outmeal stout beer icecream. It was great. They use the Outmeal stout beer from«Bethlehem brewery».

Located in the Main Street Commons in Bethlehem, this ice cream rocks! Especially creamy and just delicious. Only downer is that it is quite expensive, especially in such a dairy-rich area. But if you’re downtown, this is the ice cream of choice. UPDATE: Sadly, closed.
