I began seeing Dr. Leviadin approximately 3 years ago to address an acute battle with anxiety and depression. I was reluctant to take medications but was struggling with my diet, sleep, focus and just general ability to function. Dr. Leviadin was patient and slowly introduced the medications to me. He allowed me to ask as many questions as I can think of, and still does, about the medications so that I can feel prepared for the changes that it may cause to my body. My body is fairly sensitive to medications so I am prone to side effects. We changed the medications around to fit my needs(physically and emotionally) and as I got better, we took me off. Dr. Leviadin never kept me on medications longer than I needed to be. This was very important to me. I didn’t want to become dependent. In conjunction with my work with him, he referred me to his sister for the talk therapy aspect. He recognized that her style of talk therapy would be more in line with what I needed and didn’t hesitate to make the referral. I really respect that about him and their practice. They don’t pretend to be something they are not. They genuinely care and want their patients to get better. With their help, my quality of life has improved significantly.
