Danger! This place is hazardous to your health. I did not see any working dishwashing equipment. It’s shocking that some people bring their children here and let them sit in the filthy highchairs as well. Fortunately most people that come here do not stay long enough to eat because the waitress is so rude you would think that she escaped from a psychiatric asylum. If you do decide to order, after waiting 45 minutes you will probably get someone’s else’s order. This place is so bad you would think that it was run by the three stooges.

I had to re do this review as an edit. I just cant leave it as it is with 4 stars and good food. The staff are still friendly, the food is still good, but we just cannot go there anymore, which makes me really sad, we loved the place with it’s fun décor and very kid friendly and just plain friendly wait staff. We loved that it was neat and cooky. It still is. The reason we can’t keep it up is well… the place has always been grungy. More Grungy then, well, any other place I can think of. But after our last time there, we simply cannot go back until it eventually catches on fire, or the board of Health gets off their seats and goes into this place. They had a door open and a screen door jammed over the bottom horizontally propped up on chairs. Made you question if they were keeping 4 legged things out… or keeping em from running around outside? The Chairs you sit your kids in? I cant put my kid in that. Beyond filthy. Retched comes to mind. Stuck with dried on food that looks like its been there weeks. The chairs, rugs, tables… its actually unbelievable they can be open. Ive never seen anything that bad, and I was ACCUSTOMED to it. I stuck to the chair the last time. The Bathroom is beyond description. Something out of a horror show. I dont know who to fault here, because the employees seem to be nice hard working people so ill turn my ire to the owners and the board of health. Shame on the owners for not cleaning the place. Its DISGUSTING and you know it. Shame on the Beverly Board of Health for not making an appearance at a place that they would have to shut down the second they walked in the door. Sorry for the rant, but I hate it when good things go bad. And you cant get any worse then this. The place needs to close. Its a freaking health hazard. Don’t eat here until the BOH goes back to work of the kitchen«accidentally catches on fire»

Love this family café. Good home cooking. From Quiche to scottish farmhouse eggs, its a great place to bring the family and my daughter loves watching the planes! It may not be fancy, but who needs fancy when the food is great!

My son loves to watch the airplanes but the food and service here are horrible! The waitress never brought menus I had to go and ask for them and when I did get them. Just printed paper… They were stained and gross. It took 45 minutes to get our eggs, home fries, sausage and toast. Toast was cold, eggs were ok, sausage was burnt, home fries were just boiled potato chunks. I got grapefruit juice that was only half full, I finished it before the food arrived and was never offered another drink. I love crappy little diners if the food is good but this is a crappy astoundingly dirty diner with crappy food to match!

I go here often and have never had a bad breakfast. I first started when I had little children and a visit to the airport to see the planes was a big deal for them. I was delighted to find that menu always offered an interesting special like a quiche, special omelette, or pancake. Coffee comes fast and is refilled often and I love the home fries. It is a great diner with excellent diner food and someone in the kitchen who cares about making the menu a little different each week. The staff has always been friendly. Breakfast is my favorite meal to go out for and this is one of my favorite spots.

Go here if you want mediocre food served to you rudely on dirty place settings an hour after you’ve ordered! About 10 of my colleagues and I went here for a meeting. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and chicken noodle soup. Besides the fact that the soup tasted like canned campbell’s soup, the flatware the server gave to me was dirty. Because it took so long to receive the rest of my I order, I had take it to go. I approached the counter to ask for my check and the server barked, «Are all of your orders separates?! You shoulda told me! You shoulda call ahead to begin with!» When she found that I was not going to pay in cash she rolled her eyes before snatching the card through the machine. I find it very peculiar to be treated in such a rude manner my party was providing your company with so much business. I will NEVER eat here again!

Hate do be so negative but really don’t bother going if you are looking for a good breakfast! We have traveled to well over 40 different breakfast places and always order the same menu so we can honestly compare… 2 over easy, bacon home fries and hash. Our experience at «Something Different» was as the name implies. something different. None of the food items had any redeeming quality. The toast was cold, the coffee was cold and the place was cold. Hash was dry and tasteless as were the home fries and the eggs were… well…not sure how to describe them. I suppose in the warm weather with the airport activity to take our minds off the food this place would look better. Us… well we are not going to bother !!! The Breakfast Guys

We go here almost every Sunday. I for one don’t think you have to go to a gourmet restaurant for breakfast I mean even I can make a good breakfast. That said we enjoy almost all of the breakfast items here especially the Belgian waffles. The home fries, in my opinion, are great and the bacon is cooked to perfection. The stand out here is the staff. They always great you with a smile and a kind word. If you go when it’s really busy you may have to wait a little while for your food because it’s a small place with a small kitchen so not much can be done just sit back enjoy your coffee and relax.

I think the previous Unilocalers were missing the point. This is a place to go to get an OK breakfast but you really go to this Beverly Airport spot to watch the myriad of small planes taking off and landing. Go here when you need to kill a few hours with the kids and need some food to pass the time between take off and landings.

Breakfast here is not bad. While I would not drive here to go to breakfast, if you are in the area, it’s OK. The chocolate chip pancakes were a little dry for my liking, but the homefries were great. Service was friendly and I didn’t experience any slowness, though the restaurant was not busy. It’s a typicaldiner-type place, that overlooks the airport in Beverly, and is filled with airplane nostalgia. They also have Mexican night & music on Fridays? I did not inquire about it, but saw signs for it.

Don’t go to this breakfast and lunch greasy spoon if you want to get in and out quickly. We did get seated right away though. I had«scottish eggs» which I loved because it was gooey and full of fat– two of my favorite things; eggs, ham, sour cream and cheese, all baked in a dish, and served with toast so you can mop up the goo. Yum. A friend had the corned beef hash, which was incredibly salty — but the pancakes were OK. The coffee was decent and refilled often. The waitress was funny and friendly — and gave our table a free orange juice because we complimented her on her glasses and comiserated with her that she was the only one working the floor.(«well.. .she said, there’s _____over there.. .but I might as well be working alone!») We had a great time — but we also had 2 hours to spare. The interior is full of old airplane memorabilia and old junk passed off as antiques, and you can watch the planes, helicopters, and Hood Blimp take off and land. There is sign as you walk in that says«unattended children will be sold as slaves.. .» It’s a funny place. Food is pretty good, service slow — interesting and a good way to kill a couple of hours with good company.
