Today was the second time my family and I had lunch here. The first time we went, we had great service and the food was good. Today was the complete opposite. To start off, we walked into the restaurant and we were not greeted. The employee walked past us, grabbed menus then tells us to follow him. Once we were seated, a female employee came to the table and was very rude. She was rushing us to get our food and did not give us good service. The first words out of her mouth was«do you know what you want to drink? «. No introduction or anything. The food was cold and did not taste good. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back.

So my daughter and I decided to eat here as our last choice due to the fact that every decent restaurant was already overbooked for long weekend/Valentines Day. We waited about an hour to be seated which was expected and fine by me. The problem was the food. I ordered chicken taco salad, the worse I’ve ever eaten. It had no flavor. It was very bland. The salad had lettuce, lots of it, very few pieces of tomatoes, barely any beans, very bland tasteless chicken, guacamole and sour cream which was bad. I’m not sure if the guacamole or the sour cream went bad but something was giving that fermented kick, just nasty. I hated that salad. My kid ordered combo meal of 2 chicken soft tacos with Mexican rice. Again, same tasteless chicken, some onions and cilantro on the side, no flavor. The food looked very good but tasted awful. The rice was the only edible thing of the entire order. You better off with homemade sandwich than this place unless you like to pay $ 40 for something that you can’t swallow. I’ll make sure to never set my foot in this place again.

Great food and service. The portions are huge. The chicken burrito can feed four people. The salsa bar is outstanding and gives a wide variety of taste and heat. The Hacienda platter offers standard selection with fusion based sauces.

When this place gets busy, you won’t get service. Food is pretty mediocre. Would not recommend. You can use the bathrooms for free in here though. Just walk in like you know people eating there already.

Great strong drinks but unfortunately my 2 taco combo dish was just meh… the beans and rice were amazing but my 2 carne asada tacos were burnt to a crisp to the point that it tasted like nothing

This was the worst service ever received at a bar, All servers and staff make you feel unwelcome. In particular the bartenders treat people like they don’t like them. I overheard a conversation between servers and bartenders about how crappy the customer’s are and how bad their tips are. Kind of crazy as there were 3 couples at the bar getting bad service…

BIGWARNING– Do not go to this restaurant. The food might kill you. I wish I could give this place NEGATIVE ratings. I can safely say that Haceinda has been my worst dining experience and I have eaten at all sorts of places in various cities around the world… even indulged in street food tens of times! I never thought that I would go to a restaurant, which is quite highly rated on Unilocal, and fall sick with FOODPOISONING, ruining my trip to Big Bear and my birthday the next day! On 10th of January, 8 of us went to Haceinda to have lunch. The place looked good and we were glad that we had chosen a busy restaurant to have a good meal before we left from Big Bear. I ordered a burrito and it did not taste bad, but after eating a little bit I started feeling uneasy and sick in the stomach. So, I ordered some soda to help me feel better. I could not eat much after that but the others almost finished their food. After paying a generous trip, even though the waitress was not exactly friendly, we went back to our cabin. Each one of us started feeling lethargic and uneasy. We had planned to go to the lake before we left, but could not as everyone seemed drained out after lunch. After we got back, my boyfriend started having terrible stomach pain in the middle of the night. The pain continued for a day. He had to take course of extremely strong medicines. My condition was pretty bad too, but thankfully, I had not eaten the entire burrito! Thanks to Haceinda’s food, my birthday was completely ruined. In the next two days, we found out that other people had also suffered a lot! Some of them even lost a lot of weight due to FOODPOISONING. We all suffered for about 5 – 6 days. This review is extremely polite for the hell we went through that week! And I am not eating a Burrito for atleast a year or two.

Cute place. I love the décor. We went on a Friday night our wait was 30 mins not to bad. The service was fast almost to fast because the bar was a little behind. We got our margaritas and our food came like a minute later. We didn’t get to enjoy our drinks. But my Cadillac margarita was delicious and good price for a 18oz! Good chips and I like the salsa bar. Food is tasty It’s not super authentic but it does its job being that your in big bear. Great flavor my kids loved the albondiga soup. We ordered fried ice cream for dessert that was amazing. We will be back whenever we get back up to big bear.

The best salsa both red and green. We walked in and we’re seated immediately, even though there were tons of people waiting. Don’t know why, guess he knew it was my Birthday lol. The chips and salsa were fantastic. Also had the Chile Rellano and cheese enchilada. Good flavor and spices, temperature right. Service excellent, prices reasonable. Highly recommend, will be back next time in Big Bear.

We only made it to the bar for a quick bite while we watched a football game, Ceviche is really good, bartender was super nice and friendly, definitely our new go to when in BB.

After a long day in the snow my friends and I came here for dinner and we were pretty disappointed… the wait was long, but we expected that. But when we finally got our food, our orders were wrong… I was so hungry I didn’t care. But half way through I gave up eating because it was just… meh…the waiter was nice. But other than that I doubt we will be back

Ok so this five star review is EXPLICITLY because Valerie is incredible. We put in our name, the host lost our reservation somehow, but we got a table after an hour. Valerie was our server and throughout the night was flawless. She served us perfectly, and my mother in law is not the easier customer. She figured out all seven of our orders quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. Bottom line: the food’s good, the hosts are a god damned mess, and Valerie saved the day and made this a 5 star review.

First off I would give this«business» zero stars if I could. I came to this bar with my family and close friends snowboarding for the weekend. We decided to come to this bar just to get a couple drinks, and right when I paid our second bill(which is ONEBEER $ 8.50) I decided not to tip because of the long wait. This bar tender(I don’t remember his name) walked up to the customers next to me and said thank you for your tip while staring at me giving me bad looks… And I began to tell my friends and family how rude he was. Right after that, the bar tender looked at me and said«are you talking shit bitch?» I was totally in awe,(Just so you know, I kept my composure while trying to explain to his manager how rude this guy was to me). Right after that happening this«bartender» keeps going by verbally insulting me. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever received in my life. I am a Business Administration major, I have never thought a «business» could obtain a piece of scum employee that this guy was. WORDOFADVICE go down the street from this so called«bar and grill» and have some real quality service at another bar and not get assaulted and embarrass yourself in front of customers making a scene with the police.

Adequate but nothing special. My family and i arrived at around 1:30 or so with a party of 9 and we were seated fairly quickly. Initial attention from our server was satisfactory. We were given chips and our drink orders were taken. From there things kinda went downhill. Not to say our service was terrible but it wasn’t great. The place was decently busy but not so hectic that we couldn’t hear each other at our table but the attention our party received could have been better. Our server was very pleasant just not very present. It took a decent amount of time between ordering to receiving our food, I want to say at least a half hour to 45 minutes. In that time, our drinks were refilled once despite being emptied twice. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger being the dirty white boy that I am. It was fine but not without things to detract from my enjoyment. The tomato slices on the burger were too thick and too firm(hey-o) which added to the burger’s height and made it difficult to compress into a bite size. Additionally, I like a little bit of chew to my bacon, it makes it easier to eat and the burnt flavor isn’t quite so overpowering. The bacon on this burger was a minute or two away from being burnt making it too crispy for my taste and too salty. The fries were plentiful but I didn’t end up eating many since I’d had two glass fulls of diet coke in addition to many tortilla chips white before the food arrived. So overall, my experience was fine. I don’t want to come off too negative. This place was just nothing special.

Based off the Unilocal recommendations we tried Hacienda our first night in Big Bear. We each had the Burrito plate, one with Shredded Beef, the other with Carne Asada. Both were wet and red, our preference was the shredded beef. At Hacienda, you are served chips Ala carte. If you want Salsa, it is self serve, at of course, the Salsa Bar. Two selections, both are good, our preference was the chunkier version with the Cilantro and Onion presence. The Margaritas were good, but the ones we were served, we’re not as strong as touted by other Unilocalers. We concluded the meal with an order of Flan. The Portion Was a sizable portion enough for two or three people. The texture was good, on their version, it had chocolate syrup and very little to none of the brown caramel juice; not our preference, but to others, may be it works. last, the service was okay. Not too focused on our dining experience, but did take our order, and the food did come. Took us a while to get our bill, but the server’s temperament fit the situation, we will get by, and her tip reflected it.

Would it be acceptable to drive 2+ hours on the daily just so I can feast on the chicken fajitas I got, every single day? BUTSERIOUSLY. I have ZERO complaints about the feast that was set forth in front of me when I stopped in at this restaurant on the way to Big Bear Mountain! I know for a fact that my company was very much in love with his burrito too for he was doing things to it, only seen in porn videos! AHHAHAHAHA! Worth every penny and every second of driving, for sure… And no, I’m not writing this in a drunken stupor thanks to the heavily poured TEQUILA + Soda Water I got! Ha Ha!

Unilocal… you’re slippin’. Perhaps the«check in» option wasn’t functioning correctly this particular day but nonetheless, I/we dined at this place a few months back when weather in the city became unbearable and we needed a swift retreat offering cooler temps. Big Bear has never disappointed and upon traversing down Big Bear Blvd. while noting the smell of something borderline-orgasmic, we were compelled to do like the commercials and«follow our noses»; they led us to this portrait of perfection and things only got better thereon! Walked in and noticed the restaurant possesses a bar-like atmosphere at entry(family friendly of course) yet there were plenty of booths available. We were seated immediately and led to do as most others had already, which was to partake in ordering margie’s. Lord have mercy, these things didn’t disappoint. Perhaps it was the altitude of Big Bear altogether but I was buzzed for a good 2 hours afterwards. We took our server’s recommendation into consideration and ordered the carne asada burrito; this thing around and was the size of a small child. Need I say, it was next to Heaven!!! It’s ALWAYS a plus to taste the grill on your steak and this place served it like«mi abuela would have»!!! With the environment in mind, I tend to request my burrito mojado requesting green sauce as opposed to the traditional«red». In most cases, this spices it up a bit ^ ^ ^ as well. In addition would be my «test of authenticity». Any«REALLL» blaxican’ knows that all posing Mexican spots are weened completely out of the equation by way of their salsa failing to pass the test. Hacienda Grill possesses a salsa bar that would put El Pollo Loco to shame! There’s a flavor and spice level with each salsa individually enough to seemingly satisfy every diner’s palette. THISIS A HUGEPLUS for me as those that know me know that I practically drink my salsa… Service was stellar and I’d definitely like to bid the highest regard to our server who taught us the«true» definition of a B.M.P.(beautiful Mexican Princess), lol. Sorry Christina, I thought I’d reviewed this place earlier!!! This place has without hesitation secured itself as being our new go to spot when in need of a high altitude Mexican fix. Excellent job Hacienda Grill!!! Muchas gracias!

Yum, we had a great meal here. We sat out on the patio with our doggie but it was packed to the gills on the inside anyway. The chips were fresh with a yummy salsa that you have to go inside to get yourself. The portions are huge here. I took half of my tostada back to the hotel with me. Hubs has an enchilada and a taco which he said was good. Our servers were fast & friendly. They messed up and put beef in my tostada instead of chicken which they quickly corrected. The food is solid Mexican, maybe not as authentic as some people like but I thought it was yummy. Our drinks were refilled quickly. I recommend if you are in Big Bear.

Really good fresh guacamole. I had the Carne asada burrito wet and it was delish. My sister had a hard taco and said it was good. They have a fresh salsa bar as well and the atmosphere was nice. Went in the early afternoon on a Saturday it was not crowded but I imagine as the evening progresses it gets crowded. Food is worth it though.
