Stephen’s Custom Floor Covering

I was undecided between hard wood or carpets. I walked into Steve’s store and was greeted warmly by Krissy (sp?). She helped me make my decision. Then Steve came to my home for measurements and consultation. Both were friendly and supportive in my decision. On the day the old carpet was removed, it was obvious I had beautiful hardwood flooring. i was given the option to change my mind on carpet. I decided I wanted the carpet but was advised to take pictures of the hardwood for future home sale. I was very impressed with the service this company provides. I have had nothing but compliments on the new carpet. I give them a strong recommendation.

I recently had work done to my house, both carpeting and tile work in my bathroom. I had never had any type of flooring work done before so I wasn’t sure about prices, who to contact, etc… Stephen’s name was given to us by a family friend who had work done by Steve about 1 year ago.
After meeting with Steve at my house he made the entire process from start to finish very easy for a first time home owner. I explained what I was looking for and what our budget was, Steve knew right away what to suggest and after the work was completed the total was under our budgeted amount.
His crew size varied from the type of job that was being completed. Day 1 he had 4 people assisting with bring the new stuff in, removing the old stuff and preparing the work that was going to be completed. The remainder of the job Steve would have 1 other person or 2 people with him. Everyone that came to my home were very nice, very pleasant and they were all very aware of the walls, moving furntiure, not tracking things throughout the house; very good workers and aware of their surroundings.
The job took a total of 6 days to complete (3 rooms of carpet, 2 sets of stairs and the tiling of 1 bathroom floor and inside tub). They arrived every single day between 8:30−9 and would be finsihed before our dinner time around 5:00. The job was completed on that Saturday and we couldn’t have been happier with the quality of work, the price and how much time the entire job actually took. Steve gave us an estimate of possibly 2 weeks to complete, so after 6 straight days we were very happy.
Obviously the work was great because I wouldn’t have been giving a grreat review like this, but the other major positive was Stephen’s knowledge and personality. You can tell that he knows his stuff when you first meet him, he has been in the business for over 20 years (maybe even 30) and you get a sense that he really cares about getting the job done the way you want it at the price you can work with.
The last thing that I want to mention which gave this review 5 stars, not 4 or 4.5 was what happened on the Sunday after the job. My wife and I and our son were having breakfast and about 9AM my phone rang and it said Stephen’s Floors. I answered and he asked if it was OK for him to swing by the house. He arrived about an hour later and wanted to say hello, thank us again for the business and make sure that we were happy with the job or if we had any questions. Maybe I am wrong, but I never hear about this kind of customer service or treatment and to actually experience this was amazing!
I am very happy and confident to write this review for Steve and I hope people find it useful. I hope other families get to have the same experience that my family did.
