Hair Designs

I have been coming into Hair Designs since the early 90s. I see Cheryl, and she always has excellent advice, and keeps me up to date on all the exciting new products that her salon carries. The salon is always immaculate, and Cheryl, and all the stylists give a warm welcome to me and all other clients that come in.

Jill is absolutely amazing. The salon was clean very relaxing and I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. Jill was able to work miracles with my hair. I didn’t know what exactly I was not liking about my previous highlights from another salon she was able to diagnose the issue and corrected my color. She made it look so Natural with blended roots. Jill thank you I am now happy with my hair and can’t wait for my wedding

is a masterful colourist and hairstylist. Her expert technique puts you at ease. She’s also super lovely! She transformed my fried «mom mop» with low-​maintenance, natural looking highlights, a trim and conditioning treatment. I recommend her to anyone, especially fellow blondes.

I needed a last second haircut during a family visit. Whenever I’m away from home I get nervous going to a new hairdresser. Jill did a fantastic job on both my hair and beard. She was thorough, detailed, and quick. I will definitely come back next time I come to Wilmington!

I’ve been here twice and they have done an amazing job both times! Definitely going to continue coming here.

Sam is the best! She is up front about what you should expect from your hair color, and is more concerned about keeping your hair healthy long term. I have been pleased everytime with my color and my cut. And she’s just a fabulous person.

I went in hoping to get my hair done something fun with some color. I only colored my hair once 3 years ago and had a wonderful experience at Vidal Sassoon. I wanted to try another place because unfortunately the city of Boston is no longer a train ride in.
I read some reviews of Hair Design and it looked promising and not as expensive as Vidal Sassoon (WRONG). At Sassoon, I had gotten a bob cut, side bangs, and color at a mere $ 65 total. I loved it. At Hair Designs they will charge you an arm and a leg. I wanted layers (shortened to shoulder length), side bangs, and a little dash of color totaling up to $ 133!!! What!!! I didn’t get my hair layered, you can barely see the color, they never asked me if I wanted a stylized blow dry. They just brought over the the chair after washing and the lady started to style it. I just wanted it dry. WARNING: Make sure you know exactly what you want and make sure to tell them how you want it during the cut otherwise they will just skip certain things (i.e. layers) charge you whatever they feel necessary (style blow dry).
I will NEVER go back there. Honestly, I would just blow dry my own hair to avoid the dye from possibly dripping on to my shirt.

I love this salon! The people are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. For several years and counting this has been my only salon! I’m so happy I found it.

I can’t recommend this salon enough. I’ve been twice now and I absolutely love it. The salon is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The design and atmosphere is very nice. All of the employees constantly have a smile on their faces and are extremely professional. You can tell that they like their jobs and I think that is extremely important.
I see Krista for my hair and it does not get any better. She listens to what you want and knows what she is talking about. She is not afraid to give suggestions (and she is NOT pushy while doing so) and I think that is very important, as she is the hair professional, not me! She really knows her stuff. Her color and cut skills are absolutely wonderful. I can’t praise her enough.
I have also recently seen Heather for an eyebrow wax. I am always hesitant to have someone new wax my eyebrows and she did not disappoint. She did a great job and was very professional and very sweet.
The prices are more than reasonable, especially since the quality of work is unbeatable! I strongly suggest checking them out! :)

Just got my hair cut today and absolutely love it. Courtney was excellent and suggested different techniques she could use to improve my hair. I will def be going back!

I have been searching for a good hair salon and I finally found it! Everyone is pleasant and they try to schedule you no matter how limited your options are. I actually called for an appt. and they took my number to have my stylist call me the next day (she was off) in case of a cancellation or if she thought she could fit me in. Incredible. Warm and welcoming without being fake or overwhelming. Love it.

I’ve been literally looking for a place to get my hair cut around the Woburn/​Burlington/​Winchester area for the longest time. I would look up places on Unilocal and on Google and nothing would pop up to me that made me feel like it was right. Then I remembered that Wilmington wasn’t too far away! I looked up hair salons in Wilmington and came across Hair Designs.
The prices were PERFECT. I feel like I paid more for a stupid haircut at Super Cuts than at Hair Designs. I immediately called and Kristina answered the phone. She was so incredibly nice right from the start! I went in, I was a half hour late because GPS takes you to a wrong address when you type in 668 Main Street, and Kristina was right at the desk and took me to get started. Kristina was awesome! She would constantly ask what I wanted and if I think what she was going to do be something I would like. No hairdresser has really ever done that for me. When Kristina was done, my hair looked AMAZING. I felt awesome about myself because of the great job she did with cutting and styling my hair.
I’m definitely going to be going back to Hair Designs. Hopefully next time I won’t get lost :)

From the first phone conversation I felt welcomed. They are always concerned for their customers and what they want. It is such a warm, friendly, family atmosphere. I feel like Cheryl never forgets a name or face and really cares about her customers. Kristina has been my stylist and I rely on her for her honest opinion, suggestions, and guidance. She really took interest in me and came to know what I wanted and needed in a hair style. She helped me to update my style into one that works best for me and my busy life as well as one that always has me looking and feeling great about myself. Going to an appointment was more like going to sit and chat with friends and come out looking fabulous.
