so I took today off so I could binge watch OITNB (Orange is the new black) lol. I was just looking thru Unilocal and decided I would try the Eat24 restaurant delivery service. I decided I would get Tbones, the Eat24 app was very convenient to order thru. I ordered the Vito Corolene Hoagie and the spicy fries. The est time for delivery was 1:33pm…2pm hit and no food
:(2:18…no food… I received a phone call from Eat24 and was advised the driver had a blow out and ended up going back to tbones to have my food redone since it was sitting for awhile. No problem :) I appreciate them calling me. My food finally arrived nice and hot and omgggg it was heavennnn in my belly!!!
The meat and veggies taste so fresh and the Hoagie was so soft :)

Best Cheesesteaks in the south, truly delicious. The owner is a really cool guy too. You must check them out!

Bread holds up the actual steak, peppers and mayo! Philly cheese steak is amazing! The best I’ve had since I’ve left Philly. fries are seasoned good. Only down fall is i asked for ketchup and mayo for my To-​go order and 3 packets of ketchup are NOT enough for the box of fries I got.

Even their burger is my favorite in Birmingham! They have a wide ranging menu to suit any mood. I could and have practically eaten here daily for this 3 ½ week trip. Their Philly very well may be the best in the world, def the best of my life! This place alone is a reason to visit Birmingham.

I lived in Philly for 10 years and this is as good as it gets! Highly recommended for authentic Philly Cheesesteaks! He even uses real Amoroso rolls, something I never thought I’d find in Alabama!

Each time I visit, the burgers get better and better.

This place is AWESOME! I got the Steak Philly and if was phenomenal! I got the 12 inch sandwich, cheese fries and a drink for about $ 12! I highly recommend this place to anyone in the 5 Points area!

My search for a perfect chicken philly brought me here. An all around really good chicken philly with green peppers and onions mixed in with white cheese on a hoagie roll with a decent sized portion of fries and a drink for $ 8.
Very good flavor and almost perfect, in my opinion and perhaps lightly grilling the hoagie roll would earn an extra star.
I arrived after the busy lunch crowd and the service was excellent. They made sure I was happy after the meal was served and thanked me for coming by when I was leaving.
I have and will return!

Best philly in Birmingham, hell maybe in Alabama I haven’t made my mind up but this joint gets a 5 all day son. Famous philly on shrooms extra mayo and cheese and if you’re feeling a bit frisky add extra meat.

The only reason this place gets a two star if for the reasonable prices and the bread. They use white american cheese, which is way to sweet, combined with the onions (I got the traditional cheesesteak btw). Traditional philly cheesesteaks use provolone. The bread was again delicious but it had this weird spice, granular thing around it which was really weird and not tasty. Like how you gonna $&-? up a cheesesteak at a «cheesesteaks restaurant? Whatever.
The service was baaad. The man at the cash register was not friendly, nor did he say «welcome» or anything like that. He and the staff asked me and my friend what we wanted like 3 different times AFTER our order was taken. They were slow, unfriendly, and bored.

Never…Again. Save your money for chick fil a across the way ppl.

This place provides exactly what you showed up for. Amazing Philly’s! The staff was very nice and even entertaining with the utensils they used while cooking the meat. The individual who took my order and provided great customer service, claimed the name of a T Bone. Whether it was the owner or a wannabe be they delivered. That’s all that matters. This place delivers great food. Enjoy.

Def better than fat SAMs philly cheese steak and may be the best philly in Birmingham. I went to school up north so that’s why it’s not the best I’ve ever had. I like the atmosphere def put a local taste on each philly.

The steak and peppers has never failed me. I would have posted a pick but I couldn’t resist the amazing aroma.

So, I am from the land of the almighty cheesesteak and I believe it is fair to say I have experienced my fair share of these bad boys. Perhaps I am being biased in my review because of my high expectations for a cheesesteak joint so close to home. To be honest, I wasn’t thrilled; I wasn’t even half thrilled. I ordered an original philly w/​cheese fries to go, an old standard for my first time. The cost ended up being in the ballpark of $ 15 for just me which felt seriously expensive considering I did not even purchase a beverage.
The cheese fries were extremely overpriced to be so small, soggy, and boring. Skip the cheese fries. The cheesesteak left much to be desired. It was short, dry, and lacking in almost everything I have come to expect from a cheesesteak. When I decide to fill my body with greasy, cheesesteak sin, I expect it to be dripping with oil, mayo, grease, and cheese. I want the whole experience, tender beef with the works. Is it possible for a Birmingham business to make the perfect cheesesteak? This Unilocaler finds it hard to believe.

The last time I went to T-​Bones, I told my husband I think their cheesesteaks are «last meal» worthy. I’m not kidding when I say it’s the best sandwich I’ve had anywhere. The nicest people work there, and it’s just good food with no frills. Can’t go wrong with that. I will warn you, since their kitchen is open to the seating area it gets HOT, especially with the summer heat. If you’re a baby like me, maybe get the food to go. I always get the cheesesteak with mushrooms and it is so flavorful I practically inhale it. Last time I went I changed from my normal ranch fries to cheese fries and split them with my husband. They were so tasty!

I ordered delivery here through Doorstep Delivery while staying at the nearby Residence Inn. The bacon cheeseburger ($ 6.50) was large and filling, but had a BBQ-​like taste that took me by surprise. I think I decided I liked it by the end of the burger, but I’m still not completely sure. The fries ($ 2.50) were neutral– they could have been crispier. The small Philly cheesesteak ($ 6) was decent, even though I ate it a day later. As someone from Philly who loves cheesesteaks, I can be a tough critic. I think the meat/​onion/​cheese mix wasn’t the perfect combination for me, and clearly it wasn’t on an Amoroso roll (only available in the Philly area!). But it hit the spot and I’m impressed with how close a place in Alabama got to the real thing.

Really really good subs. Lots of options, served hot and fresh. Needs an update to its appearance, but they’re open late so stop by sometime and try it. Pretty big subs, so they’re about $ 10. But it’s plenty for me. I went to their original location and loved it. So glad they opened up a closer spot.

Fantastic philly cheese steak. Went in around dinner time on a Friday. My husband and I each got the philly. I got the green pepper and he had the original philly.
We got extra cheese on both and they did not skimp there! The sandwiches were great and the service was fast! The fries were just okay. We ordered the cheese fries that were served with cheese wiz. I am very happy to see T-​Bones back open in Southside and will for sure be going back for more.

So glad T-​Bones opened up in 5 Points. I’d had it bookmarked for awhile but never made the trek to Centerpoint. I will never order another cheesesteak from just any place, now that I’ve tasted and seen the glory that is T-​Bones. A coworker who grew up in Philly testified to the legitimacy of this well chopped, cheese melted so well it’s just a flavorful texture within the meat masterpiece of a sandwich. Just go. Then go again to try all the variations.
